About Readily - free speed reader

Readily is a speed-reading android application powered by RSVP(Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) technology. With it you can read up to 1200 words per minute instead of 220 when reading normally.

MAIN FEATURES

* Parser of a text:
*** Normalizes: parser checks text for and fixes bad characters and duplicates of punctuation, proper spacing before and after punctuation. Also it splits too long words in smaller ones. After that text is becoming easier to comprehend.
*** Emphasizes: every word is processed in order to choose emphasis position - red letter's one, which gains maximum of your attention and helps you recognize the word in the fastest way.
*** Sets delay(optional): when you reading on such a speed, you can miss an essence of sentence. Therefore, parser sets gentle delays before punctuation, on digits and on long words to help you grasp information clearly.

* Handy controls:
*** You can change speed on the go - just swipe to top or bottom.
*** To pause or play just tap the reader's window.

* Storage of incomplete readings:

* Preview of next words in a paragraph (opitonal).

* Dark theme to comfortable reading in the night.

* Optional font size.

SOURCES OF TEXT
* Clipboard: you can simply paste text to Readily.
* Shared text: simply share to Readily from Flipboard, Instapaper, Pocket, Google Keep, Evernote, etc.
* File storage: choose .txt, .epub or .fb2 file to read using Readily.

I liked this app, but can't read fb2 and epub books up to the end ( first shows wrong data that 1% left, then can't reopen book). And if you choose the largest font it cuts long words despite that there are enough place in the line for showing them. Now using app Reedy instead.

This was just a band aid in my search to find an app where I could use spritz-like speed reading technology on my phone. This app generally worked better than others, but doesn't compare to @Voice if you want to speed read internet content your mobile device.

C70%
by C####:

Not support right to left languages! No useful integration with pocket or instapaper etc..

T70%
by T####:

Very good app! Best Spritz i have used. Попросив би опцію щоб читати 2-3 слова за раз.

Doesn't work on my phone.

Very nice app. saves me a lot of time daily. kudos to the developer for making such a beautifully designed and useful app.

X70%
by X####:

Nice app. As others have stated, crashes when tries to open epub (PDF support would also be nice), and max size 30 font is still too small. Sharing web pages to it works fine. An overview + more controls would be good.

Would be great if we could choose where to start by scrolling the text itself instead of swiping left or right

X70%
by X####:

It was a good app. I'm just disappointed I couldn't read my play book with it.

X70%
by X####:

Good app! I really love it, but it would be more perfect if the app allows sharing the text from a app for PDF files like Foxit Reader or Adobe Reader in Android (Tap "Share" and then choose "add to Readibly"). Please, add this feature to your app because everyone has a lot of documents in PDF to read! I think your app would be the best if you do this, Thanks

Checked quite a few apps before finally deciding on this one. Truly I tell you, as of may 2016 it's the best reading app on playstore.

H70%
by H####:

I cant choose from which point i want to read. So for an epub, even publishing details, contents etc are also picked up which is a gross waste of time.

X70%

If these extensions(pdf, doc) are wrong, then which are the good ones ? Ilia, I don't get it !

X70%
by X####:

Such a waste of time installing

K70%
by K####:

I wish I could Scroll to any part of the text to start my reading. In addition puting a mark would be useful.

X70%

Non invasive, perfect GUI. Only suggestion is the context words have 'to the left' context words.

X70%

You should add PDF compatibility, Thank you.

X70%

In short very good app - just try it

Z70%

Piece of junk.

PDF please

L70%

...but tried to open three different epub files and each time got the message 'wrong extension'. So.

N70%
by N####:

Good app and does exactly what it says reliably. Would be a 5 if it allowed to easily jump to pages or chapters in epub.

R70%

I can't believe how awesome this app is! I loved the idea of Spritz, and the fact that someone has integrated this so well into any app through the share text feature, I love it!

R70%

I have troubles with encodings of Polish text send via share in Pocket.

Very odd highlight positioning, but you can share browser articles to it. The design should be cleaned up to make it more streamlined. My, desktop chrome reader Reedy, which does have hyphenation issues.

B70%
by B####:

I'll give 5stars if this app supports pdf.

R70%
by R####:

It needs a way to select the chapter. It keeps changing my last read position!

R70%

You should add PDF compatibility, Thank you.

R70%

ePub3 isn't working.

R70%
by R####:

The app fails to load any files - a workaround for this is to use an external file manager like FX, and have the application get its file from there instead of the built in browser. It would also be nice to be able to set the font size higher than 30 for tablets.

F70%
by F####:

Exellet speed reading app. It would be perfect if it included a full text view option so you could chose were to start in a text, and a sync option to pick up where you left off on an other device. Also the percentage is a bit off, starts re-counting from where you left off every time you start the app instead of refering to the full text.

U70%
by U####:

So, I went on a website to test this out. I got to the chapter of story I was reading, but the app only showed the 1st chapter. Is there any way I can change it to read any chapter? :P

P70%
by P####:

Simple, effectively boosts your reading speed, I love it. Warning tho, seems to work only with txt documents and shared from Chrome. Would be epic if integrated bookmarks and downloading from Project Gutenberg.

Y70%
by Y####:

Could use some customization features like different fonts and sizes, a full screen interface. Also could use a feature to pick up from the last read page as well.

K70%
by K####:

"Wrong extension " it keeps saying, no matter which for I try to upload. Pls fix it.

K70%
by K####:

C'mon! Everything is in PDF format nowadays!

O70%

Righ to left reading should be added to be useable for arabic & persian &...
