WHEN DO I NEED A MOOD DIARY?

Mood diary is a tool frequently offered by psychologists and therapists to help us discover facts about ourselves that otherwise slip our attention. You may experience a serious diagnosed condition like bipolar, OCD or depression. You may have stressful job, like manager reporting to executives or customer facing specialist, which makes you feel exhausted at the end of your long day. You may be on emotional rollercoaster as your partner is making your heart tear apart. Or you may simply be curious to know yourself better. This app may help! Bring your iMoodJournal to your therapist or discuss it with your close friend to maximize its positive impact on your life.

* To get the best out of this app, please, keep regular records (preferably 2 – 3 times a day) of your mood with tags and self-portraits for at least 1 – 2 weeks. The Weekly Cycle chart requires several weeks of records to generate meaningful output. We wish you the very best experience with iMoodJournal. Please, send us your feedback at support@imoodjournal.com.

This is better than other ones in that it charts it in a way to see if it's the time of day affecting my mood. The hashtags help in seeing if there is a common rain for the mood. I have used other mood trackers but have set moods. Those were good, but this app fits me for what I need now. Reminders are wonderful! UPDATE - I have been using this app for a couple years & constantly recommending it. Great app on various phones.

by N####:

Great app, have been using it for over a year. I like the customizability and the tagging ability. The graphs are a great feature, but I wish it was labeled better so I can see what date range is being displayed. I want to be able to zoom in and view my entries from the graph so I can identify patterns and see what was happening in my life at that time. It's really hard to analyze past patterns in the app. I know you cannot export the data but that's a little cumbersome.

Z70%
by Z####:

I really like this app with all the features it has yet being simple and intuitive to use. What I'd wish for would be a quick mood logging screen when unlocking my phone. There's a time tracker (SaveMyTime) which does that for activities. A quick log when unlocking the phone after a customisable time interval would be little effort for a much closer tracking across the day. What do you say ? Other than that it's a wonderful little app that helps a lot to get a hold on mood ups and downs! :)

X70%
by X####:

I'm bipolar and the app is great, way easier to use than the written jounal I've been using for the last two years. I even use the reminders as "take your meds" reminders. Only complaint is I wish there was more nuance to their mood scale.

by Y####:

Updated review: This is a quite simple but beautiful way to monitor your moods adding text and a pic if desired. Also the color scheme and moods are completely customizable - I added emojis to my moods and made my color scheme pink, blue and lilac.. very pretty!! I highly recommend this app for those (like me) who have anxiety and mood swings. I've tried practically all of the mood diaries out there and this one is by far the best.

Still no reminders on my huawei phone, despite many attempts to set them. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app, which is a shame, as it's great otherwise.

Great app! I'm using it to help me understand and control my moods, as well as have records for my doc. Essential for anyone with a Bipolar disorder, BPD, depression, and similar.

E70%
by E####:

Clean feel, very good design. Love that I can add my mood as many times as I like. But I too, would love more nuance in the mood scale: a system were you can choose your mood for example "okay" and then the option to choose between "okay +, okay 0, okay -" or maybe a 0 to 100 chart? Would definitely make it 5 stars! Thank you for making this app!

F70%
by F####:

This app has been incredibly useful for tracking my moods. I'm bipolar and it's been really helpful to keep a record of how I feel in a given day and how I feel over a longer span. The customization options are really great. I've recommended this app to lots of people!

X70%
by X####:

This app is beautiful, but I would love to be able to track my sleep and anxiety level on a graph, please.

I70%
by I####:

I've tried lots of mood tracking apps. This one is the best by a fair margin. It's fast, reliable and good looking. I like the ability to add tags in my journal entries. About my only suggestion for improvement would be a way for certain friends to be able to check on my mood from time to time.

O70%
by O####:

This app is really helpful for tracking my bipolar mood swings. Being able to see the shifts on a graph is really insightful for me.

H70%
by H####:

This is exactly what I was looking for. The customizable features are a huge bonus. I would love to also be able to graph my anxiety levels and my sleep as well!

L70%
by L####:

Really neat app that gives interesting insight with the use of tags. Charts & graphs are easy to read & export to keep in a diary/journal, take to doctor appts, use in discussions w/ therapists & counselors, caregivers & family members, even just give a bird's eye view that is a little more objective. Very powerful tool to enable proactive, responsible, honest personal assessment that can be used in conjunction with therapy to maintain quality health.

N70%
by N####:

I've been using this app for quite a while now and I'd love to be able to select more than one mood; I've found that I've got mixed states quite frequently and end up not using the app because I can't express how I feel within the options. I'd be incredibly grateful if you dev could indulge me with this new feature. For those bipolar friends out there, THIS is THE app you need, no other would let you keep a diary and your own pictures in such a neat, unobtrusive and beautiful way. Best tool for Bipolar!

N70%
by N####:

This is really a great mood tracker. I can edit when I need to as well as take pictures which is great for tracking moods. I love that it prompts me at specific times too. I even love that if I don't log my mood that shows me something. I don't mind that I initially had to pay bc this is a tool that can help me and my doctors with my mental health. Thank you.

by N####:

I've only been using it for 2 days now. But I love that I can report my mood as many times as needed throughout the day. Also the journal part helps a lot.

This app is well worth the price at less than a cup of coffee. Does what it's supposed to do very well. The developer deserves compensation for such a solid app. Thanks for this!

I love that you can set reminders because too often I get lost up in my emotions, either too high or too low, and forget to do a tracking of how I feel so I can see how I'm doing and if my mood balancing med is working.

Wish you could easily put menstrual cycle on the main picture. It really has an important impact on mood.
