Green Agro Pack Private Limited is an initiative by a team of professionals to provide world class Gherkins and other vegetable crop supply to the various emerging market. It is specifically targeted towards the international market sector and brings to table the expertise in understanding the domain. Founded in 1994, the Company is an entrepreneurial initiative by Mr. Devaiah Balladichanda Muthanna which has revolutionized horticulture crop supply systems for the entire gherkin industry. The Company produces Semi-Finished Gherkins, both in Natural Vinegar and in Brine, for the food processing industry, apart from other product range of vegetables like Cauliflower, selected hot pepper, Onions, Red Bell Pepper, Garlic and Carrots. Being a 100% export oriented food processing unit strategically located at Davangere, the Company has adopted the best state of art facilities.

The promoters of the company, being pioneers in Gherkins, brought pickling and large scale contract farming to India with focused approach as filler for the shortages that existed in the global market for small size pickled Gherkins / Cucumber. At GAPL, we believe that businesses exist to sub-serve larger societal goals. Therefore, their contribution is best measured by the value they create for the society at large, giving beyond traditional profit and loss statements. We endeavour to Continuously strengthen and refine Corporate Governance processes and systems to catalyse the entrepreneurial energies of management by striking the golden balance between executive freedom and the need for effective control and accountability.

Borrowing the thoughts from their rich experience in the Tobacco industry, the promoters fine-tuned the variant existences of Contract Farming forms to implement innovative farming methods in Green Agro Pack. The processing plant of GAPL is situated ideal 250 kms from Bangalore, 20 Kms before Davanagere, which was the oldest commodity trading center from Karnataka supplying to Mumbai. Davanagere is connected by National Highway 4 from Bangalore and by private Air.
