IndoorAtlas welcomes you to try out MapCreator 2 for Android phones.

MapCreator 2 provides an improved way to map your chosen indoor location/venue to enable IndoorAtlas’ indoor positioning service. This app enables you to map and record sensor data throughout your chosen venue. Before mapping begins, sign-up at https://app.indooratlas.com to create your indoor location and add your floor plan.

This latest version of MapCreator 2 provides the following benefits:
• Quicker mapping experience for enhanced productivity and efficiencies
• Improved data quality and positioning performance
• Allows free walk and stops during data collection
• More intuitive user interface and mapping workflow
• Mapping tutorial and tips for success

Following the successful mapping of your location/venue, IndoorAtlas’ positioning service will be available for your app on both Android and iOS smartphones. About MapCreator 2:

• Enables IndoorAtlas positioning service in your indoor location/venue and provides position testing (blue dot) on the floor plan for quality control of the mapping work
• Records sensor data (geomagnetic landscape, WiFi, BLE and other sensory data) inside a building and uploads it to IndoorAtlas’ cloud platform
• Automatic mapping quality analysis for quality control provided within the app and in https://app.indooratlas.com
• Mapping with Android enables positioning service also for iOS

Device compatibility:

• Application requires WiFi, magnetometer (compass), accelerometer and gyroscope (hardware sensor, not virtual gyroscope) sensors
• Recommended smartphone devices for producing production quality maps: Nexus 5, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Honor 8, LG G4 & G5, OnePlus 2, OnePlus 3, Oppo R9m, Oppo R9tm and Oppo R9s
• Other devices with Android 5 or later can also be used
• Samsung smartphones have sensor filtering that may impact mapping quality
