Emergency Alert button for Android
The number of presses of the power button shall be 3 also. And once triggered, a confirmation vibration should be included. With these, I would consider 5 stars !
SMS location (to receive location after issuing an SMS) option not working? Be sure you uncheck the "Trusted list" or input the Trusted list exactly as in the recipients (international codes and all).
I just downloaded this yesterday. My problem is that I can only figure out how to put in 1 emergency contact. I went on today to work on it more and I can find no way to open to the page.
Phone side works good, widget works good. Liking the ability for multiple sms numbers. But can't get android wear to activate no help info. Emailing developer
Doesny work with my galaxy s5 with sony smart watch 3. You press the panic button and the app tries to send out messages but thats as far as it gets. No messages or emails get sent.
Brilliant
Excellent App. Performs as advertised and as expected in testing. One suggestion, increase the text message character length.
Outstanding app, however the panic keystrokes don't always immediately cue the callouts. I'm still satisfied with this for my partner and I.
Sent emergency message without me telling it to do so and freaked my contacts
Brilliant! Works great- thanks very much!
Nice idea, hopefuly will never need it, test worked well
In an emergency I don't care to be navigating menus, and this app fits the bill. I would have rated it a 5, but it seems I must press the power button a minimum of 8 times to make it trigger reliably, regardless of the configured setting of 4 (Galaxy S vibrant). Still a great app though!
On my previous phone, this was awesome. Current phone (Galaxy Note), it keeps sending SOS messages, no matter what. Something's triggering it.
Cant initiate by pressing power button. Useless.
As someone with a potential life threatening medical condition, and not wanting to be continually chained to my home and landline, the concept behind this app offered just what I was looking for. The help / FAQ's could use some work as initially they were quite confusing, not surprising as this is my first smartphone (Google Nexus 5 with LG QuickCover). New option to put the red button widget on the lock screen is a definite improvement.
Junk just please send my money back, this app is a waste of time
second purchase
Test worked, hope I do not have to use it.
One must power on and power off a number of times to trigger this application. This kind of function is not working on the newer galaxy s4
It s a very good app. Didn't find anything like that so far. The major advantage is that it can send sms with position. I travel a lot abroad and I dont have always internet access. It works great on Samsung s2 4.3. I dont know how ppl can trigger it by mistake: you need to press the button fast and for at least 4 times! Anyway I have a request: is it possible to choose which button will trigger the alarm? For example some covers cover power button and it s not easy to press it. In addition, widget is not useful since my phone is locked with pin so noone close to me can trigger the alarm in case I m not conscious. It will be great to choose home button instead. 5 stars when it will be possible
Had application on HTC and it worked great; however, power button on my S3 will not start an emergency, which is most likely user error. The developer has contacted me and is helping me to make sure I know what I am doing. This is a great and I hope I don't have to use it in an emergency.
Tried it out for my kid and it would send alerts for no reason. I thought my kid wasn't being honest and tried it on my phone and it had the same issue sent out emergency alerts with out it being activated
I tryed it and it works.the navigation is a little off but close anough.but wouldn't stop sending message.
The Red regency Button does not appear. Emergency response activation does not work at all
So far, so good! I'd add a feature to the test link that informs recipients that it is a test. My first use caused a LOT of alarm!
Only tested once so far
Works well
Installed on my HTC Rezound. At first, the app seemed to generate emergency messages all by itself, without being triggered by me! The developer provided some quick support, and I was able to get that first problem fixed. The problem I'm now working on is that once the app has been triggered, it keeps generating new messages.
Having a Pre-recorded phone message that auto dialed a pre-set # and played it would be needed. Not all your emergency contacts will have SMS on them
Force close in case of emergency!
I would advise a little practice prior to a real emergency, but the app works like it should. Could be a life saver. Devs are very responsive.
I don't like the idea of needing this app, in the unsafe world we live , but so far it worked great!
4 times is enough, but you have to be fast. We have a tutorial video here that shows how to do it, please watch it and change the review accordingly if needed, thank you...
This app just went burserk and started texting everyone! I hadn't even pushed any buttons..I just woke up and there was a notice in my status bar and
Not reliable on my galaxy s3. Unbelievable! And I paid for this!? Sure they can make it work. But the number of presses in a short span of time is difficult for users especially in an emergency situation. If I can't make it work right now, how will this thing help me in an emergency crisis? I also think the instructions are flawed. On the plus side the developers are helpful but they refuse to improve the software for ease of use. The emergency button is not so discreet. Depending on your emergency situation, especially when your safety is at stake, you sometimes want to be discrete when pressing the emergency button. With the size of the screen of the galaxy s3 and the huge button in the home screen, you can't press the emergency buttons without anyone suspecting.
