About IBJA
The India Bullion and Jewellers Association IBJA (Formerly known as Bombay Bullion Association ltd). was established in September 1948, because the prevailing circumstances in the market warranted an association with multi-faceted approach, which the association is fulfilling and currently has projections which stretch far beyond the visions of its original conception. As envisaged the Bombay Bullion Association ltd has proved to be an unbiased platform & has been acceptable to all the precious metal trading community in general.
Under those prevailing circumstances The India Bullion and Jewellers Association IBJA, fomerly the Bombay Bullion Association was established for the promotion & regulation of Bullion trade, address disputes and arbitration's between dealers, provide a neutral & correct platform for weighing precious metals acceptable to the trading community, interact with different governmental & executive agencies, provide reliable & correct reports of assaying of precious metals acceptable to the parties involved etc etc.
The India Bullion and Jewellers Association IBJA owns a building in the heart of South Mumbai at Zaveri Bazaar which houses all these facilities which came into existence with their specific responsibilities.
