SOS SMS Button for Android
Sony Ericson Xperia Active ST17 with Android 4.03 and Motorola Defy+ with Android 2.3. The application does send an SMS to the desired contacts with the position. The setup is easy. There are no adds (that I know off). Doesn't require data activation. Doesn't crash. The activation of the SOS is simple. The message can be personalized. The application is free. Works on Android 2.3. That is already a lot better than all other applications that I tried. Nevertheless only 4 stars : major problem for recipients of the message that are not able to use by themselves geographic coordinates in latitude and longitude: The message sends the position with a line break between the latitude and the longitude, and therefore the link that the recipient will click on the received message will not show the position on a map, as the mapping applications (including Google Maps) only see the latitude. If the recipient knows how to use latitude and longitude information, the recipient will nevertheless be able to work out the position. Thanks to the developer, and hoping that they will resolve the message line break issue to gain a deserved 5 stars.

Needs a one click widget! And the location link in the sms has a line break, so it does not work. When that is fixed, it will be a five star app. It's a small thing to correct, please do that and you will have a fantastic app! Really would like to use it, but can't until this is solved. Thanks for making this app! PS: Periodic additional sms with location updates until disabled by the user would be fantastic!
