NYT VR – Virtual Reality

First version worked fine on S5, no download needed. Now with all the updates it hangs up when put in the cardboard viewer. Too bad because the content was super but worthless if you can't watch it.

Nice videos but doesn't always have bandwidth to stream and I can only save to SdCard so needless to say I don't have space. The resolution of the videos doesn't seem to be as good as youtube vr so hard to watch for any length of time.

Has yet to work for me on either my Samsung S4 or my Dell PC. Everytime I try to watch it, it sends me to the Google Play Store to download the app. - even though I had already downloaded the app.

video locks up but sound keeps playing on my nexus 6p, even with content downloaded to my phone

I have been facing an error when trying to play some videos on my Galaxy J7 prime. This is the error that I get "unable to initiate decoder OMX.Exynos.avc.dec' Did some Googling and found that maybe the video resolution is the problem.I assume a phone having a 1080p display should be capable of playing a 1080p video. Nonetheless, can you please confirm if the videos that are downloaded in offline mode are 1080p I would like to test this by playing the video on lower resolution but I don't see an option for editing that in the app. Speaking of offline mode I can't seem to change the location of my downloaded videos. Is it possible to do this? I am running out of space on my internal storage

Not much to say except it does not work, it never worked, and I am not convinced it will ever work. It gets hung up and goes back to the smartphone home page every time I try to watch a video

I think it is amazing. I've flown through space and ridden a tank through the streets of Falujah, Iraq. I'm looking forward to taking a trip to the Antarctica research area tonight. Wish me luck! I'm using a Motorola Moto z

Locks up "buffering" even when the video has been completely downloaded. Then won't even play cardboard vr versions of video because it can't find some "decoder". This app is very nearly dead on arrival.

I love the content, but the app itself really needs some work. Downloading is a hit and miss, and sometimes the downloaded pieces mysteriously disappear. You've got the content already. If you fix the UX, this could really be something.

Today, I watched using this app with Daydream view for the first time. I've watching videos on this app and it has whetted my interest in VR media ahead of the flood of new devices popping up. Thank you, NYTimes....

Can't believe the daily 360 doesn't have a way to look at it in VR - talk about a missed opportunity

I could not down load. It kept kicking me out.

Does not run. Stuck on loading screen

NYTVR didn't work. I couldn't don't do streaming. I couldn't download any of the video. It would kick me out in 30 minutes. I couldn't find any way to trouble shoot the problem.

I can't wait to get Daydream!

... But the transition to VR still feels rough.

Try to load any feature, gets stuck on "Your experience will start in 1s" and it doesn't go any further. Download or stream...

Awesome content, but has lot of issues while loading, need to find better ways of saving videos and watching them

Used to be great

Upon launching the app, I would get the NYTVR logo and a spinning circle. It would never load. Please fix. Samsung S7. Android 6.0.1

Right in the middle of the "talk" you get buffering. Ok, it's a free app. But thanks for the experience, was on the ledge about buying into this new way of watching movies and videos--I'm sold.

Looks like a well-designed app, but none of the videos will play for me after they have been downloaded. Play buttons don't work and turning to landscape mode doesn't start the video as it appears should happen.

Downloaded a video with no picture, and the app gives an error messages a few seconds after a video starts to play. Garbage app.

This app does NOT support downloading videos to the SD card! Within does. Without this, i can't watch videos
