New ilumi for Android
App no longer has a scheduler, limited functions. Horrible app design. The bulbs and app don't do half the things the ad promised when I bought the bulb. False advertising and no way to get my money back, don't buy this garbage bulb.
Can't actually control my lights now since the app won't let me log in, and a password reset doesn't do anything. Why would it even ask for my password once the initial configuration happens? Update: this app is still horrible! Features that kinda worked in the old version like the sunrise are worse now in the new app. If I could find some sucker to buy my bulbs, I would depart instantly!
3/20/17: now sometimes gives error message when it fails. Stills fails though. Totally useless. I have to use old school power socket timers to get bulbs to cycle on/off on schedule. It's really quite impressively bad. Ilumi: I already have reached out multiple times. You can't help. Reviewing you negatively took 6 months because i wanted to be fair. Bad on permissions, also very buggy. Can't control the bulbs 90% of attempts. I take that back. Even via schedule I'm never sure what the bulb will do. And since I seldom have control over them via my phone they're just a ridiculously expensive dumb LED. I held back 6 months before reviewing but wow what a terrible product.
Very buggy app but somewhat works, however the music-matching feature doesn't match the music at all and requires a huge EPILEPSY WARNING before turning on! Support admitted to me that there is NO error checking on the firmware update process, so be prepared to brick a few (two bricked on me). Bulb also runs unreasonably hot. Login issues shouldn't affect operation of the bulb, but support says they do. App logs you out randomly. Why do I need an account for operating local hardware???
This app does not need to have access to my media files text phone book. and I'm returning the light to the store. Bee wee lights are the best
The app updated and then signed me out. I have tried every password I can think of and it's not working. I even reset my password and it still won't let me log in. Before this last update I would have given it a 4-5 but right now it is unusable.

App is a bit prohibitive as it DOES NOTHING! It won't migrate from old app nor does it see my ilumi. Needs Finishing School. Galaxy S4.
The lights pulsing to music function doesn't work unless the screen is on
This is an all in all well thought-out idea that needs a few changes/improvements to make it excellent: Faster sign-in process, removal of location requirement, ability to schedule turn-off of bulbs, faster bulb recognition.
Fantastic you guys fixed the biggest problem with connecting to the bulb. Thank you. Can't wait for what's next.

Requires GPS... a pain for Android as it drains battery faster.

Brand new LG V20 and still problems. Do these work with Isuck devices? I'm ready to take these to the rifle range. I'd get more entertainment out of blowing them up than I do at home. Constantly disconnecting takes forever to change a color if it does at all. I was a big supporter. Purchased 6 for my current home. Worst investment I have made in quite some time
I have had ten of these bulbs for the better part of two years and I cannot remember a consistent interval of time when I could use them with any confidence. Every time the company updates the software, I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football again. If this isn't fixed by the end of the weekend these bulbs are going on eBay.
Too many scary permissions for features that easily could be optional. Like microphone for the music experience that I cannot use anyway since I don't use the two supported providers. The user interface feels somewhat clunky, especially if the bulbs are slow to react.
Schedules don't work properly especially when it comes to turning off the bulb. The bulb shuts off for 2 seconds then turns right back on. This app needs updates to fix this problem as well as many others. I was a big supporter of ilumi, however I will be purchasing another manufacturer going forward.
Please don't do any more updates with major testing. They're ACTUALLY WORKING WELL right now!! From 1 star to 3 because I want to see consistency and even better response times
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. Could not connect to my bulb after using it fine for over a year now. The old app is still controlling the bulb. Tried logging out of old, turning light off, restarting phone still won't pick it up. I'll stick with the Gen 1 app for now until this is fixed. Also, can we get the music sync to... sync with the beat of the music that is playing?
Get Phillips Hue instead - sure wish I had. New app means you lose geofencing and lose ability to shake phone to turn on (neither really worked anyway). You'll have to redo all your schedules, and they won't work. No discernible upside. Still no Wear integration to control bulbs from watch. Still no IFTTT integration (promised years ago). Music experience completely random - no relation to the beat of the music playing. Usual Ilumi mess of unrealized promises and half baked ideas. Avoid this product - the smart developers clearly work elsewhere.
The older version of the app was better and easier. This new navigation is horrible and the favorites never work with the bulb as well as the changing of the bulb doesn't work 90% of the time. Now it's just a regular bulb....
It is extremely rare to pair the bulb for the 1st time, you have to try several times. The schedule feature doesn't work (forget about simulating sunrise). The interface is buggy, so that it is very difficult to set a color (should be simple). The settings page is very confusing. Asks to login on Facebook several times a week (why????).
New app, new problems. ilumi your still in beta with this. Very disappointed. Purchased 8 bulbs a year ago and looking to replace with different technology, different manufacturer.
Can only turn on and off. My color switched to light green and now won't change back to any other color.. I would have liked to actually believe I spent this much money on something that actually works...
This is the 3rd app in like a year they made me download to make this POS kind of work. This bulb is a pain in the butt
The ever changing review.... Love them when is working, lots of cool things to play with. I've had to utilize their support and they have me running smoothly again. Is cool as heck when is working right and these new releases have nifty new patterns to play with. Very cool to have more than just plain white. Have every color....
Two years later and you're still in an alpha stage with a decent physical product and a repeating series of crap software (required) to support it. Everyone looked at you and said "get, with some common sense, we can do this and get 3 stars" and they did. You lose because you didn't tried hard enough to come in 5th.
App and technology are complete junk. Try a different brand.
App still has connection issues also would love to have sub groups for multiple bulbs in on lamp or fixture but i the same room or area
Why the hell would ilumi need access to my location besides advertising and moneymaking? I didn't want to go with Phillips cos they use WiFi, I preferred Bluetooth for privacy reasons and now this company wants so much personal information? For what?! I'm going to return new bulbs and uninstall the app
Schedules randomly don't work, and scheduling an off event is an instant fail. UI is poor; I've lost count of the times I've got a purple light instead of the next page of UI. I'm going to try to take this thing back to the store for an exchange for a Hue. If they don't take it, it'll be going to recycling, it's not worth more. LEMON.
Not so user friendly at all. What happened to the Pandora option? It takes forever for my bulbs to connect to my phone. If I could return these and switch over to Phillips, I probably would....unless a major update happens
One of the most glitchy apps out there, if you're gonna make something such as this then do it right.
Edit: Tried this new version again! It works perfectly now! The UI is extremely smooth and nothing lags, the lightbulb colours are always super accurate to what you set it to in the app. And the design is amazing. I love it!! Design is awesome! But for some reason it won't migrate the bulb settings and stuff from the old app and it won't find the bulb when I click "search for ilumi"

App doesn't let me delete a schedule and when I try to modify it reverts back, so my Easter colors keep going to my St. Patrick's Day colors. The app is slow to respond. When I tell the app to do something, I expect the lights to follow.
