Mercury Browser for Android for Android
I've been using mercury many years on iOS and currently on my freshly owned Android device and I think that it's one of the fastest browsers with almost every feature you're gonna need. I rate it 4 starts because it's only lacking one crucial feature: password manager. I hope that it will be implemented soon!
Be careful when you sync bookmarks. I created an account to sync my bookmarks between my two devices and when it synced, I had two copies of each bookmark. Thinking the bookmarks duplicated, I deleted one copy of each of the bookmarks. Everything was fine until I restarted the browser, and the bookmarks disappeared from both devices. There doesn't seem to be a way to recover them, so be careful!
This is by far the most impressive and efficient browser i have ever used on my Android device. But lacks some very important features that's why i am giving it 4 stars only. I want to suggest you some features that would improve your browser and eventually i will make it as my default browser :)
There are just three more things that this browser lacks.. 1- The video player used should have auto orientation without the user having to turn on the auto rotate function 2- There should be an option to select an custom downloader like ADM 3- The Ad blocker can get a bit more stronger 4- (Optional) Add an option to download more themes
This browser is good but for one thing. It should be able to cache at least one or two previous webpages (preferably a temporary disk cache) so that when you want to go back one page, it doesn't start reloading the page from the net again. That's a minus, please see to that
some annoying issues have come up. the ad blocker doesnt seem to work. whenever i open a link from fb here, that link loads as my homepage for eternity-even though i have it set to something else. flash of course doesnt work. not enough custimization. im searching for another browser atm
I am downgrading my review as the developer abandons this used to be good browser. No more development since mid 2015 which ashamed. The Ad block function is very loose now. Hope the developer will do some revamp asap.
Worked great till yesterday when it crashed and now I can't get it to start anymore. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still errors out and closes down upon trying to launch it. Guess I can kiss my bookmarks goodbye, at least dolphin still works.
Mercury is indeed a very intuitive browser. But still it's having some bugs. It's adblock is also not working as great since i can still see some advertisements. Also, you can get in app ads anytime. This makes me lose hope sometimes. Please take care of these things and eradicate all the silly issues so it finally becomes great.
So I've been using this app on my iPhone and loved it. It was my favorite browser surpassing chrome. I know the dev reads reviews because last time I did one for app store and they instantly fixed it. So now the problem is the same. They removed/hidden the option to turn on the full screen. I would like to use every inch of my viewing space. The auto full screen when swiping down is soooo annoying. I hope you can add that option for the Android users now and I'll be sure to put 5 star reviews on both app store and play store !
This browser is definitely better than some others we have here in the play store, but when compared to the original ios version it's still a little rough around the edges. This however is completely understandable sense the 2 OS's are so different. It's definitely an up hill challenge for those devs when they cross platform like this. Either way I'll keep using it and hope for the best! Good luck too u guys over at ilegendsoft!
Well, having put it through its paces, and discovering a serious vulnerability unpatched, plus "Adblock" DOES NOT WORK! I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. This browser really has some great appeal, it's sad it's not received the attention it deserves. If updates fix problems, I'll change my review, but it's doubtful at this point.
Mercury browser was totally awesome until the latest update. Now application crashes frequently. I have sent a number of email regarding this issue. Please fix this asap.

Excellent. Would like to see more granular font size settings, and just a bit faster back/forward operation, but otherwise it's pretty much perfect. Tip for those who have lost Ad block functionality, try adding some block lists for other languages. Even if it's not relevant to the page, a list for another language can do the trick.
Replaced Chrome and Firefox on all devices. It really works faster and the features are a bonus. It's very sleek and the design is ideal. It's not cluttered as my other browsers. Only complaint is, it's on my iPad, and I fell in love with the gif/picture saving feature where I can save them into the browser file. I need all the space I can get, and I could download into that file without taking up vital memory. It won't do this on my tablet? I tried. Saves to my device, not to Mercury file. Help? :( Thanks
Beautiful, clean, sleek, sturdy, fun and well made! Hands down the best browser you can get right now. I've been a Firefox/Opera user for a long time, now I'll be adding this to the top of my list for mobile browsers. Please keep up the great work, you have a good product. Thank you for all the work you have put into this, it shows. I can't wait to see what features are going to be added. Please don't make the same mistake Opera did, don't stop adding new and UNIQUE things to your browser. THANKS AGAIN!!!
Nice browser, had installed it once and then quickly went to another. Recent upgrades have pushed this to #1. Suggest maybe to allow more options for side swipe gesture or floating tab, specifically opening bookmarks. That would make it 5*!
The search engines enforced use of flickr in all cases, renders the search function useless. Feedback connects to a rating function, wich only accepts 5 star ratings. In app "help" link connects to pc/mac database, and requires use of "enter" key. It has to be sad: Ignorance is not a virtue! The developer team announces it's ineptitude to the user, in unmistakable terms...
Original Review: 3/10/16. I used to love everything about this browser. With the latest update, Fickr has become my hated search engine. (I am not 12.) No matter how many times I remove this search engine and put what I desire in--it reappears on my next search. I tried clearing history, etc. I cannot delete it off customization--it is a set option. I cannot change settings, reboot phone and restart the app without Flickr reapperaing. I cannot even change my homepage in settings permanently.
The. Best. Believe me, I've tried many. [couldn't stop at two words]- Absolutely no one beats Mercury. Use it for my phone and tablet, and it runs everything so smoothly. Oh, and the features... they literally make me giddy. Thanks, developers, keep up the 5 star work.
I download over 30 browser to test night mode. I use an AMOLED device which uses less battery with displaying dark pixel. Unfortunately this browser doesn't even try to change the page to dark colours. It only changes the browser interface.
The extras on the dock are excellent. Ad Block must be turned on manually and then works part of the time. Let's face it, the best means of blocking annoying ads is in a true PC browser. Best workaround in Mercury is to select reading mode for a good long website. Then no more ads! See? It's the little things which are not as easily discovered in Chrome mobile browser.
Its a good browser with lot of preinstalled good plugins, features are good. I came from chrome because it was eating my ram. But this browser also takes cache memory upto 215mb. I don't know why? So is it ok to take such cache? P.S: I have seen this browser clear its own cache. Rating 5 star
Great browser. Deserves 5 stars. However, it has recently started to crash upon launching, rendering it unusable on my S7 Edge. But I'm not really upset, as it's happened before. Last time this happened you put out a fix pretty quickly. So, fix it (again, quickly too) and I'll set my rating back to 5 stars
So far so good. It's fast and no ads. UPDATE after about a couple weeks of using as my main browser because I was impressed. It is fast I think still but sometimes it freezes on pages and just hangs for a couple seconds then loads kind of annoying. Still 5 stars using moto x first gen
Update 04/01/2016. After I have changed the sd card, the browser simply stopped working. I reinstalled it but to no avail. It just does not work anymore. Sad. 1. Open tabs are not kept on close sometimes. 2. Background color MUST be white because some websites do not specify it; black background makes those websites unreadable. 3. mailto: links are parsed incorrectly. When you click one, you should open a mail client chooser instead of app choser.
I've had this app on my tablet for a few hours and it's crashed 4 times already. Everytime I bring it back up, I'm having to manually enter my passwords. Not impressed.
By far, the best android browser to exists today. I thought dolphin was nice, until I tried this one. I'm not sure how this Play store rating works, because is definitely misleading. This browser gets currently 4.2, while way worst browsers score higher. Get this and you can delete the rest of the. Hands down!

Very good, highly functional and fast browser. My one problem is that when I click an email link and my Gmail app opens, the address is not put in the new email. So instead I have to manually copy the email address then paste it into Gmail.
Wow. I've been using this browser for a couple days now and the results are not good for me. First and most importantly to me, adblock doesn't work. Yes I have it checked in the plug in section! There have been several occasions where I'm trying to type in the search bar and my keyboard won't even come up. Also, the pages that I'm viewing freeze up and I can't scroll, at all, until I refresh the page. Very annoying. Lg v10, marshmallow 6.0. Also acts the same way on my nexus 6p with android n preview 4.
Ad block doesn't work. Other than that it's quite fast and sleek. Did I mention that Ad block doesn't work? This is the killer for me. Was going to set this as my default browser but looks like I'm going back to Dolphin until this is sorted out.
I love all that this browser can do. But perhaps it does too much. When it functions, it does so fairly well. But I get regular freezes, which require restarts, or crashes. I give it a 3 for now and will upgrade as I see the performance stabilizing. A very impressive browser; potential for being my absolute favorite when it proves stable.

Sent error reports to developer and sent email detailing the situation but have not heard back... Used once and it was a very cool browser, but how can I use it more if it never works? On a Samsung S6 on Android 5.1.1
Quick, smart and intuitive. Best part is that it doesn't constantly change every week like Chrome. Plus I still can't use my Chromecast from my phone's chrome browser, I just use All Share with this one.
So fully loaded with awesome functionalities (especially the File Manager module and the plugins), Chrome or *insert any android browser* don't even come close! It also allows proper downloading from Dropbox (Chrome fails to download files from Dropbox). And too many awesome features to list here. 5+ stars for sure!
Best browser I have ever used for awhile. But after latest Marshmallow OS update it just keeps on crashing. It might be due to some code incompatibility since app was last updated August last year. Hope to get a new update on this app, so I could reinstall it on my phone again.

Deserves to be better known + a worthwhile alternative to Dolphin. If sorting a load of bookmarks matters to you is worth knowing that you can put them into folders. Plenty of features + some of them need a bit of playing with to use properly (eg. you can choose search engines in Settings but you'll still need to press on the icon in the search bar to change it) but most of it is easy. A bigger choice of themes/the facility to add them would be nice. True, it's not been updated since 2015, but then it's not been spoilt either.
