AmpliTube UA for Android
Great app! You can also record with it using Audio Evolution. Some of the amp bundles are a little pricey. Would be great if there was some acoustic guitar settings. IRig does have an acoustic guitar interface but only works with iOS. I would like to see some acoustic guitar effects..I.E. 12 string etc.
I travel a lot and this app is my savior! Now I can play in hotel rooms and I don't have to pack a bunch of stuff. The sound is great and the app is super easy to use. I was even able to get a sound that is close to my favorite guitar player, Joe Satriani. I did buy the Soldano amp for $10, and it was worth it. One other note that I think is cool... The app will run great in the background. Once I set it up, I hit the home key and open YouTube. I play backing tracks along with this app!
I'm so disappointed in Ik for not giving the UA app the same features as IOS. I bought the irig assuming it would feature the multitrack recorder built in. As I didnt want to connect multiple devices (as suggest by IK on their website?! Why buy a virtual, highly portable amp simulator if you just have to hook it up to an interface and into a computer). The only thing saving this from a 1 star is that the tone are good.
This is my second iRig and the second time it doesn't work. Good luck getting help from tech support, maybe a debate but no help. Things not even powering on. Does it need battery? Is it defective? They don't care. Just want money but don't stand behind product. I'm taking it back and getting Line 6 like I should have. Don't waste money!!-
I had purchased the iRig 2 a few years ago, and it kinda worked ok with my Samsung devices initially. My hope was that over time it would improve. Unfortunately, when it tried to improve, my device wasn't new enough to keep up-then when I updated my device again, it worked but was exactly the same as before with little improvement. From what I can gather from the online community, this company spends all of their time developing for Apple, and is really behind on adapting this well for Android. Sucky
These guys put their best efforts into programming for iOS. I have a Fender Slide and it is supposed to work with the iOS version, but here, it just wants me to use an iRig to function. So lame! I'd design for Android and send junk ports to Apple devices, but these guys are obviously not skilled developers. They only want to have the limited number of devices in Apple's walled garden to worry about. Sucks to be an Android user trying to use this app.
I cannot use them at all please help me....i bought a lot of effects and amps but its just working online...and now even im online i dont have access anymaore...
Please let me know when you make a fully featured product for Android (not just iOS). I'm using Galaxy s5 with an irig 2 it doesn't work at all. tried turning up "gain" and using headphones with no mic. No amount of troubleshooting works. I guess I will be returning the irig 2.
While I think it functions great and I love the fact that you now have the same ability to play your guitar through your phone that iPhone owners have enjoyed for some time, I think that requiring me to connect my UA or order another in order to perform an in-app purchase is freaking ludicrous. When I first connected my UA and registered the software that should've been it, no further nag screens at boot up sans UA connection, no more requiring it to be connected, none of that. The software should remember that I HAVE the device. I registered it THROUGH the software. I love the UA and the app in use but strongly dislike it because it requires me to tote the UA if I want to do an in-app purchase on a whim. Great way to discourage impulse buys, AmpliTube. You just lost out on $54.
Cannot register it and doesn't work at all. Tried everything possible. It's just silent. But still forces me to go to demo mode or register the app. Anyway, registering it's a no way even after multiple trying. Constantly invalid serial number. Screw products like that.
I am loving the Soldano and Fender amps I'm impressed. The Fender amps are great if you have a Mp3 input to a modeling amp that quite don't cut it.
i positively read this in the product page "To be compatible, the mobile device must be compliant with the CTIA/AHJ wiring standard, which is illustrated as follows. As of today, all popular Android devices branded Samsung, LG, Motorola, Google Nexus, HTC, Huawei, Sony, Lenovo, Xiaomi and more, use this standard." i own a nexus 5 (google/lg) and now it doesnt seem to work on the amplitube software... (google play only allows me to install amplitube ua not the free samsung version). Now my question is, should i buy a samsung phone (cause i just bought a new laptop and will not be cashing out anytime soon) or this will be a paper weight? will change my rating for proper solution sorry for bad english
I remember being able to use it on my iPhone without having to buy your stupid irig. I was using them on a lot of samples and stuff and experimenting with . Now it's useless trash. On top of that , the way you turn the knobs is awkward and uncomfortable.
Very impressed with the over all sound of the iRig UA and this application. I'm not a professional just a hobbiest, but the sounds in my headphones are really cool right now.
No wonder amp companies won't lend their names to these. .thieves. I bought the irig 2 with hard earned money, fully expecting that this would sound as good as it looks. I cannot use my bass with this because I have no access to the bass amp. .oh wait. .I'd have to pay more money to actually use what was said I'd have access to! THAT WAS A LIE. I can't move past the one guitar amp. .and it sounds. .weak. .and low volume..THAT WAS A LIE. .. I've got a Galaxy Note 4 that works fine. This does not. Refund now.
Overall this app sounds great and I love using it for daily practice, however it does freeze up occasionally and I've been having a recent problem with it not displaying the options menu where you can access account information and input level settings. Sometimes it also does not always recognize the iRigUA interface either
I've been wait for this app for a very long time, but still can't play it on my galaxy note 10. Please make it work, even without an iRig.
This demo doesn't let you hear the latency, because it only plays prerecorded tracks. You can't use your guitar with it. I'm not going to spend $99 to find out if this thing works. Uninstalled.
Amazed. It really does an amazing job of matching amps cabs and effects. My only peeve is when you adjust an amp, it doesn't remember your settings. I'm constantly turning down the reverb. The default is way too high.
Bought the full setup a few years ago along with every available effect. None of it is available after logging in now... and the old rig doesn't work either. Annoying to say the least
The irig UA device is not compatible with all android devices such galaxy tab e that supports usb/otg. Works on the galaxy S5 phone. The claim that it works on all android devices with supported usb/otg is a little misleading or untested by IK. We will continue experimenting with the irig ua on the phone, which appears to be a better claim than saying all android devices. Otherwise, it is another alternative device that looks promising with future improvements.
Nice to get cool sound on the guitar easily... Crashes sometimes, and haven't been updated since June 2015
Using the app with irig UA on a nexus 5 running android 6. My only complaint is that every single amp configuration has way too reverb built in to the "dry" sound. (Clean, crunch, lead, metal) with no effects in the chain. impossible to get a dry sound with any of them? Also, sometimes the tuner is out of wack or drops out completely. Hopefully they dial back the verb.
But pls help me with this one thing, can I play it without and irig...I mean only my guitar cable?? Pls give me a reply
While the advanced version MAY work with iDeces, it most certainly does NOT WORK with Android as advertised. Massive disappointment here.
I purchased an i-rig2 today and thought, great! Now I can use my tablet to practice. Now the thing is worthless and I will be taking it back to the store where I got it. When I registered the device I was told to go to the link for free software and deals, etc. But, when I go to the link -to the web site, it asks me to log in, and of course my log-in info doesn't work. Then I download the app, it does not work on my Asus ZenPad 8.0, nor my samsung s4.
Work great on my redmi note 2, but please make all amp available for placing between the four lines. I need to combine noise reducer with distortion amp
Samsung Galaxy S6, Android 5.1.1. App starts, recognizes my attached iRig UA, gives me 1 second of audio, then the phone crashes and restarts. Every time. Useless as is.
I bought the iRig UA after purchasing a Samsung Note 5. Plugged it into the fun and it prompted a startup error. Then crashed and rebooted my phone. I have not gotten it to work once. IK... please help.
Guitar plugged in to iLoud which is connected to Galaxy S6 with trrs cable. App does not recognize any of that. What am I missing here?
Dear deveploper of AmpliTube UA. I'm very curious how your apps can do with my guitar, but i can't install ApliTube UA in my device. When the download get to 19MB, then the installation will stopped. I'm using ASUS_Z007 with 4.4.2 Android Version. FYI, I have enough space in my internal storage. I'm also already try to install with APK file but its still didn't work. I have another question, can i use another audio interface to connect? I really appreciate for your attention. Best Regards.
Love this better than the iOS version. Though wish it had more of the add-on's like the iOS version. Feels pretty gentrifying, personally speaking, that the Android version is given less of the potential. But still superb nonetheless. Low latency is super impressive. The dials are really finicky to move & shape the tone. Overall 3 out of 5 & only requests are more in-app purchases like with the iOS version & to fix up the dial movements.

I bought the iRig to play bass with it and find the free collection of amps and effects sound ok. After I tried out a few amps and effects as demos on the OSX standalone app, I decided to invest into buying another amp simulation (great!) and the Envelope Filter as the laptop version through the Custom Shop sounded pretty great! Unfortunately, the android version doesn't sound good at all, it actually doesn't seem to work - I hope that updates will soon improve this? Otherwise, great sounds all in all!
Worked great through my tablet (tesco hudl2 - connected via iRig UA) and even paired it with audio evolution to record some tracks, but not working now, either because an amplitude update, or because my tablet updated to android 5.1. Or is iRig UA not compatible with android 5.1? If not then its a complete rip off, as I paid £70 for it.
Works well for me on Galaxy S7 and Pixel C. I can keep the app running while I open other apps such as yousician or a music player. I bought the add on effects and amps. They're fun to play with and much cheaper than buying the real thing, but the the Amplitube UA built in effects and amps are pretty good on their own too.
When i started this app I thought I was going to be able to use my irig UA with soundcamp since the app itself had some improvements over the other versions I tried. Opened Soundcamp, tapped the Amplitube effector and was prompted to download Amplitube. Big wtf. Why advertise the irig UA as a studio interface device and not allow for any means of recording?
I bought the iRig UA to plug in my electric acoustic and it works great. It's awesome messing around with the different pedal/amp combos. I was really surprised that it's a true zero latency output. Everything sounds great. The only downfall I found is there is no built in recorder, but Amplitube plays nicely with other apps that support USB inputs, like Audio Evolution Mobile. DON'T FORGET - There's a master level slider hidden in Amplitube's settings!
I bought the iRig UA because it claimed to support any Android device running Lollipop or higher. I have an LG Stylo thru Metro PCS and when I tried to download Amplitude, it says it's incompatible. I wish IK was more honest about their compatibility for their products because I just wasted $99 that I will now have to go return at Guitar Center. Hopefully I'll find a better product that works on my phone.
