IKARUS mobile.security transmits your e-mail address, license as well as anonymized information about your device and Android version to IKARUS for update- and licencing purposes. Other private data is never transmitted to IKARUS, but might be touched while scanning for infections. Scan is slowe than competitors', but I think is thorougher. What I miss is a more detailed botification of newly installed, not just that it has been scanned, but the scan result as well. Overall nice product for free.

Installed ikarus to try.. Dl is quick, update virus database is also ok... But the scan is already running at least 10 minutes and i am guessing by the progress bar only 3% done...Not Good

The app runs quietly in the background and checks downloads (for apps, it would be better to check them before rather than after installing). Independent write-ups are positive. Having a 30-day trial period is good, as it enables one to check how it works before deciding to purchase. The problem is that being reminded that I am using a trial version up to 20 times a day, 30 days in a row, is too intrusive. I am uninstalling after less than a week. Remove the excessive nagging and I'll retry.
