Remote banking works great. Better than most apps with scanners. Love the "pending" category. Shows what is on hold and for how much. Only shows hold for one day though. Better if the hold amt and payee stayed until transaction processes. Pop money should be added if possible to the mobile app. Going to the main website with phones is difficult to navigate.

Easy to use. Handles deposits well. Could wish for old check images and more historical info, but fine for most needs.

Popmoney addition is a disgrace. If you used popmoney before and had set up some contacts, they are not visible at all in the app. There is no "back" button during the money transfer process. And now the receiver has to sign up for popmoney after you send it to them through the app. Come on guys... Some basic user experience design is needed. And I'm not going to dwell too much on the completely 1990s UI look that this app has. That's a bit forgivable because it's a cosmetic thing. In this day and age when free banking is more and more available, MITFCU has to pick up its game if it doesn't want to lose customers. I bet many stick with MITFCU for nostalgic or anti-big-bank reasons but that will only hold on to people for so long if the product doesn't keep up with competition.

I strongly suggest to update this app. We have the best technology around, don't you think so?

Generally good but I've had trouble with the deposit feature a few times where it wasn't clear whether a check deposit went through and I had to call to find out what happened.

Every time I try to deposit a check, it logs me off due to inactivity multiple times before I'm successful. I'm depositing as fast as I can!

I love the MIT Credit Union is small but is keeping up with the times and waves a technology, but still makes it known that they care.

We primarily use this for depo siting checks and it works great.

This app works great for check deposits and finding ATMs.

Check scanning image processing is terrible. Throws away too much information and fails at corner detection with high contrast background. How can MIT of all places get this so wrong?

I would steer clear of MITFCU. First of all my information has been comprised several times. I have to jump through hoops to recover the money. However, I'm stuck with the account until I pay off a loan or refinance. So thats my problem. Information theft isn't always the banks fault I guess. This review has multiple reason for it's score of 1. I have reached out many times by email over the course of what is now 3 days. Asking a very simple question. I have yet to get any response. Also, this bank bills it self as a cash free instution, I mean come on its a bank. If I have cash I can't deposit it. I also tried to cash a check made out to cash and it was rejected. I was told that "no normal people make checks to to cash" every personal interactions weather on the phone or in person isn't very good because of the rudeness I always incounter. I foreign trasaction fees are high, and money transfer rates are high, which has to be used a lot since it's a no cash bank.

Now that check deposit is cleaned up, it's pretty much rock solid. And you can still call real people on the phone when you need to.

It does what a banking needs to do. It works quickly and efficiently. Bill pay, mobile deposits, and balance checks are the main things I use it for.

Does what I need. If it could show me my credit card transactions and in-progress transfers that'd be a bit nicer, but this is good enough.

Love this new system for depositing checks. The MIT location is too far from where I live. I no longer have to troop all the way to Cambridge. This is super awesome :)

The UI is outdated but it's not slow. Go beavers.

Previous problems with image reversal during deposit have been fixed! But app now logs me out during mobile deposit every time, but works consistently on the second try. Still, very pleased with the convenience of this app.

The app has glitches (will freeze, "try again later", etc...) but performs basic functions WELL. As noted by others, the camera software seems to have real problems.

Something is wrong with the mobile deposit camera. Pictures of the rear of checks are especially terrible. They're either very blurry or get imported skewed.

Easy to use. Could wish for more depth of info like web site has, but good enough for most purposes.

The app certainly isn't perfect, but it is years ahead of my other banking institutions technical savvy.

Take a picture of the front of a check just fine but will not take a proper picture of the back....
