IpBike aims to be feature rich - comparing to stand alone bike computes its Garmin 820 class rather than Garmin 200 or 500. If you want a simple app please look else where. If you want lots of features please be prepared to take time to learn how to use them see http://www.iforpowell.com/cms/index.php?page=help

Limitations.

The free version of IpBike is limited to one million wheel revolutions (or equivalent in gps only mode 2070mm wheel). For permanent use after this you will need to get the IpBikeKey app which will unlock this limitation.

IpBike uses IpSensorMan to provide access to ANT+, Btle and BlueTooth sensors. If you have a compatible phone and do not have IpSensorMan installed you will be prompted to install it. You can use an ANT USB Stick if your phone supports USB host mode. For Hrv, Muscle Oxygen, Remote Control, FEC, Suspension, Bike light, Shifting and Btle you need the beta version see http://www.iforpowell.com/cms/index.php?page=IpSensorMan-beta

If IpBike fails to start up on your device the most common cause is an issue with the Google maps setup. The release page has a version without Google Maps support you can try. http://www.iforpowell.com/cms/index.php?page=releases

Awesome. Learn how to use it properly, buy the key to unlock it for continued use and throw away your stand alone GPS units. Low power consumption, off line mapping, customisable screens and maps, go anywhere capability the benefits are endless for £4.99. Support this app and keep it available. It's the future!

Used multiple Bike computer apps and prefer this one sofar over Runtastic and Strava. The number of options are enormous, there is Strava compatibility (one click to upload) and cheap Magene Ant or GPSPORT sensors work. Maps have many different layers from cyclemaps to google maps and satelite. Interface looks could improve. a bit dark for the moment and changing colors does not really work smoothly. I paid EUR 7.99 to unlock which is just on par. should not be made more expensive.

Although bit of a learning curve to get setup correctly, it is worth it. Works flawlessly with all sensors I've tried to connect to it. Love the huge level of customisation available and all the available data metrics, mapping, plotting, etc. The ease of uploading to my Strava account is very handy. One negative is having to install their preferred file manager to load routes, etc.

Used it once, paid for it. Wow! Yes it's a lot of options and it takes time to learn what's available (read the help) but it's so powerful it's unreal. I love it! Good battery life too - running power/cadence, speed, and heart rate sensors via ANT+ on a Samsung Galaxy S7. Saved me hundreds on a bike computer with similar features.

The App does everything you want and more. It also nicely integrates with lots of ither cycling Apps. Its the only App you need running when cycling.

S70%

The best cycling app. I sold my Garmin and use this instead.

Y70%

Flexible to set, efficient low power data collection, and accurate. I use it for every ride.

S70%

Best bike computer app for Android with detailed, customizable data and multiplatform support. Sports social networks have their place, but if you want a serious, versatile bike computer and data gathering tool. This is the app.

Great App. Captures all your ride stats plus you can load your rides into many online cycling and fitness sites.

Bike computer that has all the features I need. Works well with Samsung A3.

C70%
by C####:

Great bike app. Totally meets my need for indoor and outdoor cycling.

All the data you could ever need and than some more. Most informative real time performance display. And it consumes half as much battery power than endomondo or strava. Perfect app for all the Sheldons among us :-)

S70%
by S####:

Great app! I was considering getting a Garmin but this has all features one could hope for and then some. It's also extremely low on battery usage considering all the logging that it's doing. Connected to HR strap, Stages power meter and Polar speed sensor while using GPS it only consumes about 20% battery/hour on Samsung S7. It also supports both online and offline maps + routes. Get a waterproof phone, Quadlock smartphone mount and this app - now!

Hey. I'm using this app while running my wheelchair, and this app is really very, very usefull for me. The first time you open it, it seams to be a huge and complicated machine, however nearly all the options are intuitive enough and if necessary the online support very good. The only thing I don't yet understand is how to lock the screen then stard GPS and trip when scenn locked. Also to unlock it (on my Xperia M4 aqua dual) it's not so easy. Maybe in the time option item window, add a stopwatch and the option to lock only some item windows not all the screen. Good, no !, fantastic job. Continue in this way. Fred. An happy IpBike user !

by R####:

Fantastic data logging program. Minimal battery usage. No data usage unless you want it. It can get very complex if you use all the features, but at least it has anything you want. If a feature is not in the app then buy the license and the author will write it in. Amazing.

O70%
by O####:

The interface is a little clunky and it can be hard to find some settings however this app is fantastic, it does literally everything you could want from a cycling perspective, found my power meter, speed and cadence sensor and HRM straight away, shows an infinitely customizeable number of parameters, has mapping and route following support, it just does it all. Give it a go, persevere with the slightly dodgy interface and you'll love it.

Profesional app, it takes a bit to understand but worth to have it, especially that sync with all famous platforms, besides it's very accurate, enjoy!

Love this app, but only thing I can't get to be displayed on the screen is the power data. I have it setup in the personal settings but not working, speed, cadence and heart sensors are all connected and registered ok

The best cycle computer app period! Flawless operation and super powerful.

T70%

Bought the full version. Time to put the Garmin to bed. This app can be a little complicated to first set up but stick with it and use the support links which are excellent. This is an extremely comprehensive app and a great way to upcycle old phones, in my case an m4 aqua which works well in sunlight. Considering the ridiculous price of the latest cycle computers, this is an absolute bargain. Well done Ifor!

Crap app. My ride details were lost when i pressed Stop Trip. I am uninstalling this now!!!

S70%
by S####:

I just recently downloaded this app, to use with my recently acquired Garmin, speed and cadence sensors. I also had to download the IP Sensorman app to interface them, and so far I'm very happy with the results thus far. I'm running this setup on a Galaxy S7, using my own designed, smartphone speaker cabinet and couldn't be happier with the desired results at this time. Currently the setup is being used in my basement as a stationary trainer. I can't wait to get outside and use the GPS functions of this app.

For any reason you make an all setting reset - for example because something behaves not as you would like - no setting restore from previous edition. You must know about 300, yes 300 parameters, if you want to restore your settings. Difficult to find parameters for a given behavior, documentation is not transparent, every time you must search in the texts, all settings parameters are not described precisely, the hierarchy is not described. When searching for 1 parameter to change a behavior and you are coming up one level, you can never know which was the previous settings group and which will be the next one. You must memorize every time which group you are using to be able to go to the next group: any visual feedback. Absurd. Nightmare when you start really using it without any effective settings management as in 80's

Hi Ifor, I know it would be too much to ask, but now is the time for more compact equipments and ease of operation.... You have really developed something exceptional...I am using moto 360 sport as of now and there app appears to be developed for Stone age...so I find you to be the most qualified faculty where I can expect something great coming for smartwatch platforms....hope I am able to create interest in you....suggest others as well to vouch for this cause.

The UI is a bit clunky, but this is a solid functional app that works very well. Fully satisfies my inner-nerd and my bicycle needs

This is solid. A great way to get virtual power and record workouts on an indoor "dumb" bike trainer. The UI is a little tricky at first, took a while to figure out how to set everything up, create a workout, get the data I wanted to display, etc. But there is a lot here.
