IEEE Delhi-Section

IEEE Delhi Section is proud to present IEEE Delhi-Section Android Application. The app will keep you updated about the events hosted by IEEE Delhi Section and its Student Branch Chapters and Affinity Groups. You can also check the list of members of Delhi Student Section Network (SSN). Also for quick access links to all the Societies has also been given in the application. IEEE Delhi Section organized IEEE India Initiative Android App Development Workshop in Nov 2015 which motivated our student members to come up with a android app for the Delhi Section.

IEEE:-

The IEEE or the “Institute of electrical and electronic engineers" is a non profitable organization dedicated towards the advancement of technological innovation related to electricity. It was formed in 1963 by the merger of the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE, founded 1912) and the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE, founded 1884). It has more than 400,000 members in more than 160 countries. IEEE's Constitution defines the purposes of the organization as "scientific and educational, directed toward the advancement of the theory and practice of Electrical, Electronics, Communications and Computer Engineering, as well as Computer Science, the allied branches of engineering and the related arts and sciences."

IEEE Delhi Section:

IEEE Delhi Section is one of the 11 Sections in India which is under the Region 10 (Asia-Pacific) of IEEE. It covers entire northern part of the country consisting of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Union Territory of Chandigarh and the five states of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
IEEE Delhi Section and the student branches and societies under it organizes various activities regularly with the aim of:
Dissemination of knowledge in the broader fields of engineering through technical talks, seminar, conference, symposium, workshop, tutorial, etc.
Exchange of ideas and sharing of knowledge among the professionals in the corresponding fields and
Providing support to student branches to conduct paper contest, quiz, etc.

Delhi Section is one of the largest sections among approximately 330 IEEE Sections in IEEE with 13 society chapters, 3 affinity groups and 106 student branch and branch chapters. Due to collaborative efforts of its members, professionals, volunteers and student branches, this society has been burgeoning day by day.

IEEE Delhi Section Student Network was formed in the year 2014 with the aim of creating an effective networking channel. The prime agenda of the formation of SSN was to ensure proper flow of information from IEEE Delhi Section to all the student branches and to address the various issues faced by Student Branches and hence devise a mechanism to solve them.
IEEE Delhi Section has been working consistently to achieve its goal of fostering humanity through technological advancement. The task cannot be accomplished without effective collaboration and and thus, an initiative to form SSN was taken by the section to emerge brighter.
