Idyoma connects you with others near-by to learn languages. Connections are based on what language(s) you want to learn and what language(s) you already know.
Apps like Duolingo, Memrise, hellochat, livemocha, busuu help you get the basics of the language, with vocab, grammar, etc. BUT WILL NEVER GET YOU TO FLUENCY!
You need use Idyoma to practice in real life, so you can learn specific expressions, hear accents, observe mannerisms of real human interaction. You need to learn from someone who is already fluent!

It’s easy to dive straight in and start discovering other learners around you.
1) Choose up two languages you want to practice.
2) Then choose up two languages you already know and the level how well you speak those languages.
3) Browse through local users by clicking the ‘Users’ button on the bottom tab. Click on a user to enter their profile. 4) Read their description, comments made by previous language partners, and then check their distance and if you share any mutual friends.
5) Click the envelope button to start chatting.
Here you can organize a meetup. Take advantage of the invite functionality if you’re struggling to coordinate the meetup.

1. No users so I wanted to install it right away 2. The app won't let you delete the account. Several months after I'm reassured by the developer that it will be fixed, and I still can't delete my account. The issue is that you sign in through Facebook, but to delete your account you need to enter your password (but you never set a password) Just disable the requirement to enter your password to delete the account! It's completely unneccessary anyways! Oh, and the buttons don't show up so I can't even log out! FFS!!!

The users in this app dont even reply to messages. I am not even sure if they are real people or fake users. Check out the dates on the reviews and ratings. All the 5star ratings are on the same day and from indians

Did you guys pay for your Android reviews? The 145 or so 5 stars reviews on here are so creatively bland and non-specific it is both hilarious and obvious. Some talk about the app like it is a flashcard app or something, which means he/she obviously did not even try the app. Did 1 or 2 people do all variations of same reviews? Thanks for the laugh.

The objective of the app is good, but it has two main problems: one, there aren't users. It only shows me 3 people. And the other problem is that it's very limited, you can't do much with this app. And it really asks for your Facebook!

I really like the idea of this app; it's my second time trying it as previously the only users that matched me were thousands of miles away. I was excited to give it another go only to find I have to log in with Facebook. I don't use Facebook. Please give us other options!
