SaskTel Visual Voice Mail for Android
Was a great idea but now it just doesn't work. Wish Sasktel would update it and make it work again.
This did not pick up a voicemail that I received. This does need a major upgrade.
Ive tried everything from uninstalling app and resinstalling to stopping subscription and resubscribing. The vvm app does not work, just gives me a message saying i need to subscribe
I love this app. I never go into my voice mail any more. The app is very functional. Listen, read, & delete messages. Links to your contact database. I highly recommend. Take it from a realtor who uses voice mail extensively. Totally worth the cost.
Way too expensive!
Useless
I came here from the website and it didn't even mention a price until I saw the description. Not worth $5/month!
Quick and easy way to view AND listen to voice mails. Works as promised, definitely worth trying.
The concept and interface for this app are great but I think it's missing the mark in a few areas. First of all, you will get double VM notifications ("stock" Android one plus one from this app, can be seen in the screen shots) unless you dial into your VM and turn the message waiting notification off. This causes you to get no notification at all so the app should refresh itself periodically and have its own notification. Second, and more importantly, this app by itself will not convert your VMs to text so it's basically no different than just dialling into your VM. I was a VM to text subscriber (also $5 a month) and was told by the SaskTel CSR that this was basically a better version of that. I cancelled my VM to text service and then subscribed to VMM and my messages show up in the app but don't get converted to text any more. I'm hoping that this was an oversight and the functionality will be built in on the next update because the app description and screenshots are currently a little misleading and I can't imagine anyone paying $10 just to be able to use this.
Convert vms to text, email or sms vm text, change messages, and make speakerphone work so I can hear it.
I got the text indicating this option is now available so I was eager to try it. This is a horrible application and I can't believe they charge money for this. They want $5 a month for this? $60 a year? You got to be kidding me. In addition there is no option for you to update your current voicemail greeting, alternate greeting or switch between the two. this for $60 a year? I wish I could give a negative amount of stars for a rating
I will check VM manually thanks.
Visual voice mail isn't so "visual." SaskTel requires an extra $5/month over voice to text to get full functionality. So $5 for voicemail, $5 for voice to text and $5 for VVM. Fail.
For 5 bucks a month everybody should check theirs manually.
