DW - Breaking World News

OK GREAT app. But the editors must know that it should not follow the trend following of other media giants to see CHINA as a super threat to European Union and ... It maybe and is a smart competitor to both EU and US... but frankly It doesn't mean to be an invader or So... the way the US is... And I swear that Barack Obama was not good than Trump...

Bin schon mehrmals an interessant aussehenden Fotostrecken hängengeblieben, neulich die über NFL-Sportler, davor eine über Quallen, die dann nur dämliche Bildunterschriften bar jeden Inhalts haben, so was wie "Sehr glibberig." Sonst gut, aber das ist irgendwie ärmlich.

Are there any plans to add a widget? I would absolutely love to keep using this app if there was a widget to add on to my home screen. Otherwise it's a great news source.

Excellent app. I really enjoy the notifications, and their opinion articles along with their global news. I had to update my review because I just tried the live TV section and it worked just great! Plus my battery was not drained, like with other apps. Very satisfied user :-)

poooorrrrrrr.... it doesn't even show when the news was posted... nor a way to sort news... the filter's very basic

Do you have an app version of Deutsche Welle Langsam for German language learners? I would install that app in a heartbeat.

Please! Needs copy function. I want to use this to learn German but I can't copy words or sentences into translator. With copy function this would be perfect.

When your video clips try to speak in both German & English at the same time, I can't understand either. I was taught that for two people to talk at the same time is rude for exactly that reason. Please use one, or the other, but not both at the same time. I really expected better of Deutsche Welle.

You guys never listen me. 2 times, I've asked you guys to make an option to save pictures but you said its about copyright but on website, its available easily with a little logo. Everyone knows how to screenshot a picture, then why don't you add a "save image option"? And I also asked to give option to set video streaming quality of 120P in the app. On this also, you never talked. I like DW that's why I'm asking for these 2 options.

It won't give option to stream on my other device through live news . Sorry RT NEWS is so far the. B E S T.... Not having option to stream makes this app useless for me. Simple

The app is very high quality, but when I switch to full screen live tv it always switch back to small screen view and I can't stream to smart tv using the cast to icon.

EXTREMELY RACIST AND TOTALLY BIASED ARTICLES LACKING TRUE GROUND ZERO FACTS. It seems that apparently this so called FIRST WORLD news app encourages its news-writers to write very insulting and extremely biased articles about other countries(INDIA IN THIS CASE), in order to feed their pathetic sense of self superiority. A writer by the name of Sanjay Mazumdaru, has written an article about the Indian Railways in such an insulting manner, so that it not only insults the spirit of India but also puts Indian Railways in a negative light. THE SO CALLED "VAST NUMBER OF DEATHS" are not because of any lacking on the administrations part, but due to the sheer negligence and foolhardiness of commuters. The article also says that the recent derailment mishaps are due to the administration, but fais to acknowledge that those incidents had ISI hand in them. Feeling so sorry to learn that, THE SO CALLED FIRST WORLD PUBLICATION DW lets some idiot writer to write articles who does not have the required depth to his thinking to write articles of such maturity; I guess because it makes the FIRST-WORLDERS feel proud. I UNINSTALLED THE APP WITHIN 15MINS OF INSTALLATION. But I guess, it does not matter to DW as I am from India.

This app started as a useful tool! Today it get's more and more annoying with it'aggressive advertising. I am thinking about uninstalling it!

I had been looking for an app with unbiased international news. BBC, CNN were straight out of the race. Had to choose between Al Jazeera and DW. DW rocks!!.

I like the DW news site and curiosity pieces.

I shall know more in the future. Suffice to say that this is the only time I have offered stars to a news app only minutes after installaton. Why? The layout is intuiitive as well as clear The information is truly World informational The information covers multi-discipline matters The news is interesting without being gossipy. Just what I wished for.

My cousins are Germans good way to keep in touch with their country!!!

Update 14/08/17. Live stream is working with Chromecast again! Cannot stream live signal to Chromecast anymore, only video on demand. Previous version was working flawlessly.
