Gardener for Android
The "Gardener" helps you to manage your gardens, by combining task logging functionality and photo album generation.
It keeps track of the work done, along with records of the flowers planted and their progress. Also, it allows the planning of future tasks like pruning, fertilizing, even watering, by issuing reminders in due dates.
Every time you plant a new flower, you can instantly make a note out of it. The app keeps the name, planting date and details of the event. Optionally you may add a picture. As the plant grows, you can add notes of blooming dates and new pictures. In time, plants will be added and removed, giving a timeline and a log of the garden.

When I opened app, it said I needed to go to "menu" but didn't reveal how.
Great app but now that I have iphone6 I cant have it anymore and there is none as good to me at apple :(
This app allows me to track all my gardens in real time w/ beautiful pix to follow growth patterns. With multiple beds this app is a blessing. I love that I can enter a watering schedule & get alerts for specific beds/plants. Highly recommend
Needs a database to provide recommended maintenance schedules for flowers/fruits/veg, so I don't have to look up all that info for each plant.
Decent journal app. Could use a do-for-all feature for everything in the same garden. Needs to many permissions for such a basic app (fine gps?)
Bad app. Very lame as far as inputting plants goes. Nothing to this app. I could easily keep the same info in a notepad app. Uninstalling.
Adding plants is too complicated. I don't think gardening is as rigid and math-like as this application assumes.
Love it. You have to tap the note twice when done to take a picture. Took me 15 min to figure that out. Great site!
UFO
Only gives me options for watering, nothing else.
This app is limited in functionality, but does what it says it will in a simple way. Not enough features for me, but might be useful if you don't need more than the basics.
Just tells me when I needed to water.
no menu key in android 4 so program crippled
Tailor it to your needs! Allows you to be specific!
Average app but all it is is a reminder. It also tells you when the sun comes up. Lol.
All it is, is a note pad with weather;(
Not what I was looking for. There are no tips. If you're looking to track your garden then this might be for you.
Best out there...hands down
Good idea in principle, but I can't get the reminder function to work. The only date that can be used is today's date, which is no good if I want to remind myself to prune in a few month's time....
Worked great untill I added 4 plants. Now it force closes like crazy! I really like this app I just really wish it would function properly
Very versatile and easy to access information. Does exactly what I want. I use a new "garden" for each bed. Would like to know if it can be backed up in case of emergency. I'm worried about giving up my written records. Also if or how to access photos taken at another time to link to "flowers"
This app has been progressing nicely, and did everything I wanted it to do! Except now I have a new phone, and I'm unable to get the data onto it. Will be looking at the other gardening apps to see who offers online backup/login.
It's let down by the illogical date format with no option to change it.
Reminds me 2 water, weed, prune & fertilize. Can add pics, update info and much more. Thanks a lot. I needed an app like this!
I love being able to categorize "gardens" and then list the plants that are in each one. I wish the app could be backed up, though. I'm hesitant to put in all my data at the risk of having to do a factor reset some day. Lack of backup aside, it's an outstanding way to catalog your garden, photograph the plants, and update them with notes and future photos to track progress.
Good potent. Badly organized. Btw I have Plants not Flowers !!
Love this app. But would really like to be able to back it up to my sd card. So all my data is stored safely.
Sometimes it will force close if you use the back command by the logo when you are in the notes section of the app. I just use the one on the toolbar and it works fine. Other than that I'm happy
This is a great note keeping tool. It has a reminder you can set. Have to go into settings to change from metric. Even asked for pics of the plants to be set. Room for improvement but some enough.
Pretty good app wish there was an easy way to vieew all the photos for a plant.
Pretty good to keep track of my plants but I wish the temps were in ferinheight instead of celcius
Pretty lame & inflexible. Teps aren't even available in Farenheit.
Very basic and boring, watering timer and sun timer would be great+ database of plant info
I'm also a newbie gardener but I love the fact I can keep track of all of my plants on my Motorola Xoom. The pics come out detailed and I love the fact that everything is time stamped so I can easily track the growth process of all my plants from seedlings to full growth. My only gripe with the app is when I remove a plant or as the app calls it "flower", it does not remove it self from my diary and only grays it self out....I wish it would totally delete itself from the diary area, instead of appearing as gray areas in my beautiful garden diary. I would have given it 5 stars otherwise. Hopefully an easy update can remedy this. All in all good for being a free app on garden tracking.
I am a newbie gardener, so an app that lets me track what I'm doing when is great. This app definitely does that, but I would like to be able to upload pictures from my phone gallery. Right now, all you can do is use the camera to upload a photo to the app.
This app has a lot of potential and could use more improvements. But good luck finding a better app. I'm using it for each plant and tree that I have since I don't have a specific garden. It could use a preset data input application page to keep the info from the plant tags on it in a neat order. It could also use the ability to share and search info with other users and to organize your plants into folders such as tree/vine/brush/flower/fruit tree/vegetables/herbs. I would be more willing to pay for such an app and as is I am inputting this in a disorderly and disturbing fashion my self.... I'm begging for more. ")
I wish it pulled up info on the plants too. we could scan a seed packet bc & it would bring up pics, info, and put it in our list. That would b g8
This app was just what i was looking for. I can track when i plant my vegetables so i know when i need to plant the next batch. If you are looking for a way to delete your "flowers" go to settings and uncheck the box that says "show deleted flowers".
I like the app, but I wish everything wasn't a flower, I have vegetables too!

1. If you, like me, don't like to broadcast your location all the time, you'll have turn it on when you are creating a new garden. The app doesn't explain how or in what form user is to "enter location." There are many ways to input location: zip code, latitude/longitude, city/state. 2. Developer should beta test his work; try putting it on tablets -- easier to read -- and take it to a senior citizen center. 3. The Email link is not working.
