iMFCC

This app is used to calculate Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCC) of a WAV file. In sound processing, MFCCs are compact representations of sound file into coefficients which can be used for example in speaker recognition/instrument identification. They capture different aspects of spectrum of sound. It represents short term power spectrum of a sound using linear cosine transform of a log power spectrum on a nonlinear mel scale of frequency.
The non linear Mel scale approximates the human auditory systems response more closely. The app expects the WAV file to be in the 'MFCC' directory (created by the app on the first install) on the external storage. It calculates the MFCC for each frame of the wav file. Frame is audio signal split into groups of 10ms each. The app displays MFCC coefficients of single frame on the screen. Coefficients of all the frames are output in a text file with name as MFCCValues concatenated with wav file name. This file is generated in the MFCC directory on external storage. This file can be shared by what's app, gmail, SMS, Bluetooth which ever is supported by the respective device. 3 test wav files are provided with the app.
