22 Shrutis in 500 Ragas for Android
Very good app. Thanks to the whole team for making this. It does crash when switching between different views, like from 22 shrutis page to playing ragas page. I am sure you might have known about this issue. Anyways, I have a couple of requests for you guys. There should be a way play aaroha and avaroha just normally (not through ragas), plain sa re ga ma pa dha ni. Of course, it should have all 22 shrutis and it would play aaroha and avaroha based on which shrutis the user selects. I liked the aaroha and avaroha feature in the ragas but I felt it's a little fast. Good to listen to it, but if want to practice, it's a bit faster and I find it hard while practicing because I can't figure out if I am going out of tone. So this drives one more request. For the same earlier request, i.e. aaroha avaroha feature, there should be a way to specify time duration the user wants each Shruti to persist. For example, if the user selects sa, re, ga, pa, dha and the time duration is 30 seconds, then it should play those five notes each for 30 seconds, aaroha and avaroha. I hope you got what I am trying to say. Pester me if you have any more questions about this or if something wasn't clear.
I am sure the makers must have put in tremendous efforts to put together this app which gives aural demo of each"shruti" which we have been only reading about. It is so easy to comment or give suggestions but difficult to implement each suggestion. However, since I believe this and such apps portraying the uniqueness of Indian classical music are very important in today's world of electronic music, it is important that helpful suggest are given. As already mentioned by other reviewers, the change-over from one shruti to the next needs to be seamless and the background scratching noise can be reduced in order to make the app more melodious. Would be glad to check for updates and improve the rating to five stars once these glitches are ironed out!
A Strong step towards breaking the monopolies of Guru Ghantaals. But in reality if a student will go by this App, he will be detached from his Guru. Guru never like contradiction. but it is better to believe on yourself, check yourself, just don't get humiliated. There are only few people who are capable to provide the right knowledge, for Ad-free version, I salute you. But for up gradation point of view a continuous sine wave will be better as loops make click noise which make it less professional, Features like New raga addition can also be added APP. I feel when Aroh Avaroh are provided then PAKAD, Time, Vadi Samvadi Addition can also eliminate the need of RAGA encyclopedias.
Request to correct the symbols in "select your Sa/Scale. In western music # is for tivra swar called sharp. For komal swar, called flat, b (like) symbol is used. So either F#,G,G#,A,A#,B,C,C#,D,D#,E,F or Gb,G,Ab,A,Bb,B,C,Db, D,Eb,E, F according to western music symbols. Using # for komal swar can create confusion for those conversant with western music symbols, as it is used to signify half note higher frequency. Ideally Indian scale in western notation would be, F#,G,Ab,A,Bb,B,C,Db,D,Eb,E,F
Very helpful and one of the best apps I ever had.. Just I suggest you to add option to increase or decrease tempo when playing any raag.. Also if possible to add option to play more than 2 Shruti at the same time so that a singer can use it for Riyaz. And also a option to create our taan(exercises) in particular raag with tempo adjustment.. These three major update will make this app the best one.. Thank you..
Superb app.. However , one observation .. Frequency of the selected Shadja is one octave higher than the displayed. E.g . When I select E , displayed frequency is 329.63 however the frequency of the actual sound wave is exactly the double. Just an observation .. there must be some reason or explanation..
Exploring it and learning something new every time I use it. Thanks Oke sir for making it accessible for learners like us who are still trying to get the correct note in their purer form. Thanks a lot✌️????
Very good and useful app. Can we have the option of "screen always on" please?
Hanumatodi is r2 & g2 but it's given r1 &g1
This is the biggest contribution to music
Good but there is no scale called E# that will be D#

Bahut bahut bahut hi achha. Loved it... Thanks for give us this ......
Okkk....the sound must be of flute or any other melodious
Excellent knowledge of shruti
Good app
We know yaman is a sampoorna- sampoorna jaati raga. Click on yaman and you would find there is no initial sa to it nor is the pa. I mean after you claim to give us the exact shruti of each note for a raga, why is there an error in the number of notes of raga itself? Explain it to me if I am making some mistake. But the theories I have come across says yaman is a sampoorna jati raga.
Excellent work by Dr Vidyadhar Oke and programmer Vibhavari Rajadnya, to the music practitioners all over the world for this new year...
ये सब ज्ञान भारतीय भाषा (हिंदी)मे मिले तो अच्छा होगा
Great aap, indeed. Truly helpful to all music workers, learners and researchers as well.

The app is good, in terms of knowing the shrutis. But when it comes to the Raga section, the aaroh avroh of most of the Ragas is totally wrong. Like Raag Bhairavi shows S G M D N S as its aaroh. And so with few other ragas. Request you to kindly fix this issue. That's the only glitch i found, other wise a really good app.
