iDevices Connected for Android
Android app is slow to update the status from my switches... If it can do it at all. Most of the time I'm present with a spinning update for each switch and then the error symbol for lack of sync. This happened much less frequently with the iOS app.
"No Android devices found." Can't use the thermometer, so returning it to Amazon and deleting the app. Avoid these devices.
Worked fine for 5 days. Now crashes when opening the thermostat settings. Uninstalled and reinstalled, still crashes. Please fix this app!
It can't update my devices. It crashes over and over again.
Update 2/14: contacted costumer service and was informed that my switch firmware was out dated and that it could only be updated from an iDevice. Sent it back to them, cost me $3, and they shipped it back. Switch works now. Was a bit tedious to set up, especially with Alexa, had to add and remove things a few times to get it all to register. Creating a schedule for the switch could be handled better in the app. Original review: App fails to find the outlet on my Nexus 6p, Nexus 7. (2012 and 2013), and my lg g2. A few hours after installing the app it began crashing and popping up error messages ever few minutes. Uninstalled
My Bluetooth clearly sees and connects to the device, and the device connect light comes up when that happens. And yet this app can't see it! Piece of garbage.
Nice idea... Implimentation is terrible so far. I bought a starter kit with three sockets, three interior outlets, and two outdoor outlets. Most recently they rolled out an app update that crashes everytime you change a scheduled event in the app. Worse yet that also appears to screw up the programming of the device you were scheduling. I now have devices that come on the wrong time of the day and stay On. Also there is no way to roll back to a previous app, as incomplete as it was at least it worked 20% of the time.
Money wasted on a shiny gadget. Couldn't be worse. The thermometer started acting up some two months after purchase. It started reporting temperatures roughly 100°C above actual. Looked like malfunctioning thermal couple, except it still responded to heat and cold. After almost a year I gave it another go. My Android connected to the KT MINI, but application refuses to recognize the device any more. What a Terrible Failure.
Junk. It was awesome but now it doesn't connect. The weber version app works but is no where as user friendly as this was. Had I know they would sell and let weber ruin my device I would not have bought this. For shame!
Terrible. Won't connect. Weber version also doesn't work because of a screen overlay message. Will be returning
Used to be a great app for my thermometer. Now it's a useless home automation app
Horrible
Would not connect straight out of box. App crashes. Developer states to contact Weber but I bought unit on a Sunday. Both companies were unavailable to help me. Since I wanted to grill for the Sunday NFL game, I would expect a new unit to function without first having you or Weber fix my new product. I understand you recently moved the product to the Weber Co. but your name is still on every box sitting on the store shelves. Since none of them will work with the provided instructions included within the box I feel obligated to warn future customers to consider the details. Spend $40 bucks on a unit, go home and call Weber, and if it is a weekday between Webers working hours you will enjoy your purchase. Too much hassle for me at that price point is all I'm saying. Thank you for your reply however.
This is now in the garbage. Was my first and last iDevices product. Was once amazing but now the only answer is contact weber. The number they give provides no help. They do try very hard to sell you one of their new weber products.
This app doesn't work, looks like Weber bought them out. Use the iGrill Weber app. Worked for me.
Unable to connect to my igrill, and why does it need to know my location?
It can't find the device, even though my phone can connect to it via Bluetooth.
There is no reasons my grill thermometer should need access to my contacts.
Works after some frustration to get Bluetooth pairing sorted but battery drains unless it is removed from device after use. And no it isn't left connected to phone after use
My igrill mini pairs flawlessly with Samsung Galaxy 6. New app does not recognize the igrill device. Replaced battery, even reset device.....Nothing. We erst motto....if it isn't broken, break it.
Great device (iGrill v2) but latest software is garbage. Now forces account set up with Google and drains battery much more than before. Also seems to lose Bluetooth connectivity more frequently and is very buggy with pairing the device.
Give me back my old app. Never trust an update from idevices or weber. Stuff you legimately paid for will only work how they tell you and gives them spying rights. No use Idevices saying oh we sold out to Weber. I didnt enter into a contract with Weber. I bought an Idevice so roll my app back and let me use it as I wanted. But of course us consumers who pay the bills are just marks these days, a commodity to be exploited
I don't care about your complicated support team and who is running "experience control" now... Your software is junk. Here's my experience.... It worked. Then your software was "upgraded" and now it doesn't work. I'm throwing it away and going with something else.
I bought two Switches for lamps and tried to connect them with Android multiple times. Can't return them to Amazon. What a waste of money. I'm going to try Belkin WeMo and Smart Things. This is a rip off. It's junk.
This app is useless! I tried connecting the outdoor switch and one of the indoor switches multiple times and the app can't find it. Worst of all, there's no option to go in and manually set it up - it just kicks you back to the "start" screen. Called the support line and the very nice agent tried to help, but we couldn't get anywhere. Their script doesn't match how the app actually flows (kept asking me to click the "three dots" - which don't exist on the app, at least not when doing setup. She wound up escalating my ticket, but apparently the second level support has the entire holiday off. Giving them a week to fix it, and then returning the devices to Amazon if they can't straighten it out.
After first identifying my device, looses connection (which might have an explanation) but after that keeps asking for basic information.. arrgh
I received an i grill2 for Christmas but after reading reviews, I'm not going to Even take out of the box. Returning today.
Can't get it to work with Alexa
Crapped out after a couple of uses.
My device works fine
If you have an android don't bother with the headaches. I can pair the device via Bluetooth but this garbage app never picks up the fact that it's paired - therefore rendering the app useless.
Worthless piece of junk. Save your money
What's going on??
Please integrate with IFTT.
Everything is working great so far.
I smell a class action law suit for rendering all android users of igrill mini unusable. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice.... I don't think so. I will never buy anything that is an iDevice connected again.
Idevce no longer will connect to Bluetooth. Trashed it today. Will not buy another one.
I grille app was better, Weber stick with making grills and smokers
Connection keeps on now and the app does not disappear so I have to restart it Thanks. Although it won't Stay connected over night. This combo app and device is great for the home chef and occasional back yard BBQ, Does a great job for yogurt too. The app now sound an alarm on my phone when I am not in the kitchen yay. I also need the app to remember my custom presets between reinstalls ! ! MUST have that.

UPDATE: If iDevices wants to avoid some of these 1 star reviews it would be wise to add a disclaimer in the main description as there is no other way for the user to know that firmware is the issue. Either that or change the error message! I may revise my review if I decide to go through the process of tracking down an iOS device to update firmware. ORIGINAL: "No Android devices found." error? Followed the very vague and disparate instructions (each set slightly different depending on where you look.) Nothing worked. Support closed for the night. App uninstalled. iDevices returned to store. A product like this should "just work" period. If I have to jump through hoops, I'm not keeping it. WeMo took about 60 seconds to get setup.
