It wont play certain vids on youtube no matter how i change the vid size. Like say i search bigbang mv videos wheb i choose this player it wont play it. It just loads forever n back to the search thing. Then when i search beelzebub episode one a random anime it plays perfectly. Like why is this? Whats the difference in those two? Pls fix

Is it possible to turn off the progress bar under video, its really annoying?

All videos, 2d and 3d, show no visuals whatsoever. The audio plays so the video appears to load and play, but the screen remains blank no matter which video I pick. This seems to be a potentially great app, and I will gladly update this review once it starts working for me. I'm using an LG G2 on 4.2.2 if that helps.

For Android 5.x, Clicking on the youtube link always defaults to the youtube app. I have cleared the YouTube default, and also reinstalled VR tube, but YouTube always opens the link.

Doesn't work wit Nexus 6. You cant override the player it wants to use, so it goes into youtube app no matter how you reset the defaults.

Unusable with the Gear VR as there is no way to set the pupil distance. No matter what combination of zoom, screen size, etc. there was no getting a usable setting.

I love how this application launches and the choices and features offered. Only criticism would be that the pause menu can be more aesthetically pleasing. Would definitely buy when I get the chance!

When starting play from 3D example it responds: "Unfortunately, VRTube Preview has stopped". If I click on "Start Search" all it does is start a browser which I hardly need this app for. What's it supposed to do for me?

This one seems to work perfectly except for one strange thing I noticed. There is a white bar about 1/8" tall at the bottom of the screen (just out of view) while playing a video in 3D SBS in max resolution. It does create some ambient light in the headset I use which is somewhat annoying. Other than not being able to make that white bar go away, the SBS video scaling is much appreciated for the videos. I got tired of watching the 3D YouTube vids all squeezed horizontally in other players. Yours does the aspect ratio correction perfectly! Thanks. UPDATE: I have discovered that there is a problem with the YouTube account playlist entries. There seems to be a limit of 5 on any of the lists. No more than 5 vids will appear on any particular playlist. I have gotten around this by clicking "Share" in the actual YouTube app, then share with "VRTube". It will then allow you to add to VRTube's local Favorites list. So far I have been successful in getting over 40 videos to show in that playlist. Please fix the YouTube account bug and the white bar at the bottom of the screen and you get 5 stars people!

Not compatible with a Galaxy Note 4. I'm getting double images that will make you cross eyed, instead of 3 D. Worked on a friends older phone; I guess larger screens are not in the equation . It's not a lens issue, as I tried it on Google Cardboard and Samsung Gear VR, and just about every cardboard app is compatible with the Note 4.

Does not work on note4. I notice other apps also have an issue with larger phones showing a double image effect but that could also be a lens focus issue with my headset. None the less the issue is ALOT more noticeable with this app then other apps. Would be awsome if it didnt break up a new tab every search but not a big issue at all

This is pretty much perfect, some really useful updates to date. A few things I would like to see... 1. Be able to change the background colour (like black). 2. Have an ambient light behind the screen like Google cardboard YouTube app. 3. Be able to adjust the distortion amount for different glasses. Thanks and look forward to getting pro if these are added

Free version is lacking so many features that buying pro is not even tempting

My device doesnt have magnetometer.. xiaomi mi3...i cannot use in screen menu properly...

but my review will be about basic features that all VR movie players must have : 1. Support all movie format (avi,mp4,mkv,mov,3gp,etc) 2. Support all subtitle format (srt is the most important) 3. Support 3d Side by Side normal and with Barrel Distortion and can be zommed in and zoomed out and put option to change depth 4. Support Control Using OTG cable (PS3 Controller, Mouse) because not all VR goggles have magnet, and headtracking control like cmoar VR Cinema is annoying (for me personally, i don't care about walking around Cinema or choose seat inside cinema like cmoar VR Cinema, all i want is watch movie with srt subtitle using VR goggles) that's all, and so far there's no VR movie player support all of that 4 basic features

Cool app. Best YouTube app for GC so far. Instead of just "yt3d" you could add "sbs" and "side by side" to search terms. Looking forward to those updates!

Works alright. If you could share a video from the YouTube app into this app it would be even better.

Why not add option to play 3d movies stored on device?

OMG, since your update on the 19th this app is perfect! Well done! Got a little wish list but can't expect anything more from a free app... Thank you. EDIT: it does seem to suffer from cutting out after about 5mins, literally the phone goes blank, have to then close and restart the app - is this because it's a trail?

If the search was improved, and maybe included voice search so I didn't have to leave the app, this would be amazing!

Man allow playing vids from phone... i will pay for it. And for so many phones the select button doesn't work like my xiaomi mi3.. any other way for settings?

it would be nice if i can use this app to watch videos that are on my sd card. I normally use Virtual Cinema or Go show to watch movies but i like the fov on this app better its more immerse. perhaps on a future update?

Hmm. The help screens at the start show how to find the 3D movies, but not how to display them in a way that works with a choice of viewers. Seems to just display in the default of the video which, in the case of the first one that I tried was cross-eyed. No use with my tablet in an adapted OWL viewer :( Or the Google cardboard, come to that... Couldn't find any way to change the settings other than resolution. That's OK with a 2D viewer, but useless with 3D material. Guess what I'll be uninstalling next... Bob Aldridge
