Separate focus and exposure locks. I'm in total love. Enough said.

Replaced my default camera app I am absolutely thrilled! Thanks for the great app!

Excellent AE/AF implementation This is the only app that has let me expose for one area whilst focusing on another.

PerfectShot is a camera application that focus on features that help you improve your photos BEFORE they are taken rather than after. By making use of features provided by the latest development of Android API and hardware, PerfectShot helps you eliminate chances of imperfect shots and improve efficiency of the controls so you can take better images and be ready sonner when the precious moment comes.

The main features are:

★ Smart AF system not only makes sure every picture is in focus but also not gets in the way when you need fast response to capture a precious moment.

★ Gyroscope supported vibration detection mode eliminates the possibilities of blurry hand shake photos.

★ Video recording with instant parameter update. This means you can manipulate all parameters of the camera while the video recording is in progress! Zoom, exposure compensation, white balance, color effects are all changeable while recording video.

★ Allow you to select AF & AE metering area, separately!
We are certain all shutterbugs know the significance of "separately" here, it means you can focus on one thing but measure exposure on another, thus gives you great flexibility on how you present the subject in your photo. Traditionally this is done through AE lock on DSLRs, but please come and experience what this should be done on a smart phone!
Please note that this is not supported by all devices. Most modern high-end devices we tested are working fine (eg. Nexus series, HTC, LG...) but Samsung Galaxy series and a few models from other manufacturers do not support setting AE metering area, therefore cannot use this feature.

★ AF & AE area selections are assisted by AR technology that can lock the area selection on the screen with the object it is attached to. Normally after you move the camera to adjust the composition, you need to select focus and metering area again, but with PerfectShot you don't need to, all area selections will stay with the object while you move to recompose.

★ Virtual horizon guide lines with pitch angle display. With help of gyroscope, the virtual horizon in PerfectShot is fast & accurate. Its smoothness is 1000 times better than the ones that use accelerometer done on other apps.

★ Extreme optimisation on the code brings tiny APK size as well as tiny memory footprint. This allow PerfectShot to launch fast. Some users even report it launches faster than the system camera app.

★ Custom UI allow you to complete most operations in a single touch. It allow you to change camera parameters swiftly and accurately.

★ Compatible with system camera intent. You can use PerfectShot to take pictures for other app, and on ICS system you can launch PerfectShot from lock screen.

* Before 7/31, the app is completely free and unlimited. After that, you will still be able to use the app for free and take up to 10 images per day.
If you really love the app and want to use it more, there is an in-app purchase option for you to remove the daily limit if you prefer to keep your settings of the app, you may also choose to purchase paid version which has no restriction at all.

No matter what settings I use, the pictures (on my Galaxy S3) look like elongated strips of the pixels contained in the image. In the preview everything looks normal and like a cool UI, but once I actually take the photo... I get that weird linear repetition of pixels. So I haven't even gotten to see one good photo out of the 10 that are offerred for free.

Can separately adjust exposure and focus before taking the shot. Love that ability! Update: my device doesn't support the auto exposure feature anymore. Shame.

It crashed each time I try to open.

Been trying lots of camera apps lately and this probably takes the best pictures when it's behaving. Love the ability to take exposure reading and focus in different areas. However, on the Ascend G700 it is always hunting and the interface is a bit unconventional to me - better user documentation, online or otherwise, would be helpful. If hunting problem is fixed, definitely worth paying.

The ISO adjustion does not work too well as I can expect. EXIF is a little bit messy. Other things are all good and cool.

Looks like it is the only app that can deal with banding issue on Motorola Droid Maxx (XT1080). But makes pictures overexposed.

Very sharp pictures. Separate exposure and focus areas ..You can see the results right on your viewfinder. UI could have been better , too cramped. Overall best android camera app

I bought the unlimited app as an upgrade. Now the app on my droid says it's the free app when it showed it as unlimited two days ago. The playstore also shows no record of my having bought it but I do have a receipt from the play store and the money was paid accordng to my bank. I just can't recommend this app because t seems they want me to pay twice. Update: Worked with the developer and they gave a refund for the in-app purchase. Would recommend not using the in-app upgrade but buy it instead. Upgraded to 4 stars.

The App is now working as I expected it to be, The developer also replies fast and makes changes.... one thing more the settings are always in portrait orientation.. I think that fixable.

One of the most underrated photo app in Google Play Store! Still evaluating but putting it on par with some of the paid popular camera apps like camera ICS and ProCapture. Developer responds to suggestion emails amazingly quick. One thing missing is still the option to use the front facing camera which I understand will come later =) Great app, highly recommended! App loads noticeably faster than native camera however occasionally on startup the UI doesn't load. Restarting app fixes this. Sometimes auto mode is overly sensitive and won't capture image, user customisation might be an idea as the majority of times I'd use this feature would be out drinking when the likelihood of holding the camera totally steady is slim! *edit* As of v.1.5.6 startup issue happened 1/25 times so rating increased

Glad that I didn't buy it! Why? Because he has no idea what he talking about! My S3 is not and has never been rooted! Meaning that the rom is stock just the way I got it when I bought it a month ago! The "developer" needs to get a clue about what he talking about because talking! Sincerely The Stock Rom!!! It doesn't matter I've moved and enjoy what I am using! Have a great day!

I have to say the app is ALMOST really well thought out and works decently on my Galaxy S5. But there is one HUGE reason why you should not use this app on the G-S3-S5 all of which I have and tested. It does not use the full sensor!! No matter what size photo or video setting you use....it crops in significantly compared to the native camera app. This is no good at all...you loose precious resolution and wide angle ability. The second reason is that none of the independent AE and AF lock functions work.

K70%
by K####:

It keeps telling me it can't find an Internet connection so it won't let me register it to use it fully. And the AE function apparently doesn't work on the Galaxy Note II.

K70%
by K####:

This app but I have a couple of issues. No matter what setting I use, it leaves a grey strip along the side (or bottom, depending on orientation) of my photo. Video function doesn't work at all, its just a jumble of crazy color lines. I really want this app to work, I like the way it is set up, I like the options, I like the quality of the photos but not going to pay for full if these things won't work for me in the free!

S70%
by S####:

Ok, I was skeptical. But I did head to head shots with several other camera apps. This one without a doubt is faster and takes a sharper shot. In fact it's focusing is amazing accurate. Second to this would be ProCapture. Zoom FX, not even close. Camera MX terrible. Tried so many I can't even list. Support was great also. If it is going crazy shooting, switch to semi-auto.
