Run your own Proxy Server on your device! The app can handle HTTP and HTTPS protocols and GET/POST requests. You can even set the app to forward all connections to a default host and port so you can use other protocols as well through the socket!

But we haven’t mentioned all features yet; you can even set a dynamic DNS updater! So you can always access your device from everywhere, even if the IP changed!
It also has extensive logging functionality, and you can even set the app to email you the log automatically!
Features summary:

- For every dynamic DNS updater set the name, timeout (in minutes), hostname, username, password and whether to update with the local or public IP address, start the Dynamic DNS Updater when connected to a specific WIFI network, update on connectivity change, start on boot
- On the settings page of the app you can set the maximum log items to keep, whether to keep a WIFI lock (prevent WIFI from disconnecting automatically), keep the device alive, keep the device alive full (keep the screen on, battery intensive), set to start the app on boot
- You can search/filter the log, or set it to be automatically sent when the log limit is reached.

It does not work for many websites, but it is still mostly usable. It doesn't seem to like sub-domains. Sometimes it stops working entirely and needs a phone restart to work again.

Simple, yet powerful tool! This is exactly what I needed to setup my device as a middle man proxy. It is ideal for chromebooks that have android support so you can proxy your android network to use for the rest of your OS. For example Pulse Secure android app works perfect in android but the chrome app version is limited and doesnt work for the VPN I need to connect to because of not being able to accept certificates.. I am able to work from home with my work proxy as I just use the pulse android app to connect to VPN, then share my network as a proxy with this app that can connect to with my chrome browser extention!

My wireless provider still illegally blocks tethering. With this app, I can access anything that runs on http or https and supports a proxy. (Basically, anything that runs a browser.) I do need to know how to set up a proxy on my computer.

Some things simply require root. Look at proxydroid for instance. Its features which are similar to this require root. Dont knock it simply because you think programmers have to be bad if they cant add features without SU access. If they could add features without SU access or even the need for busybox.... Dont you think they would have? Lol. Excellent app guys, works perfectly.

Proxy server is an excellent forwarding proxy for Orbot/Tor. The info screen gives invaluable information when setting your phone to be a Tor tethering device. Simple, unobtrusive, root not required. Huzzah!

Everything works as it should but I have to turn my phone off to turn the app off

My ISP want to charge me another £6 for 500mb for extra use and none of the tethering apps worked so first thing I done was search Proxy Server and got this. Job done. -- Edit: after using it regularly it's prone to crash and won't let me download any files larger than 17mb. Data stops at that point no matter the file. But it's still usefull even when the app crashes the server stays running.
