Panther Taxis

The app refused to function unless it had access to my contact list, which is ludicrous (I can only think of nefarious reasons for needing a list of names and numbers of everyone NOT calling you for a taxi right now) and on allowing that access the app still failed to register me. Thankfully panther's traditional phone service is still excellent and I will stick faithfully to that instead and uninstall this.

There is no accessible history of drop of points. I have to type this in every single time. Uber is a lot easier for sure. I want to support the local taxi company, but they really have to improve this app to avoid facing extinction.

Have to uninstall to change card details. Still a few bugs. Unless it improves soon, Uber will be getting my business once they've got a few more drivers.

Can't change card details at all. Worked well up until that point. Now useless

Allows payment online ..Less phaffing abou with change and phoning operator ..live Driver tracking is not valuable as it's inaccurate.Useful. can phone up driver too .

I am having a huge problem adding a credit card. Every time I try, after the last step it says that it can't be done and I should check whether I have connection. At the same time, I have 1 pound pending transactions from every try. This should be fixed ASAP

Boo. 4% charge for using a card to pay. Plus the drivers don't know their way around Cambridge and are racist. Service is even worse when you try calling them.

Well I can't register as they seem incapable of sending me a confirmation SMS, so who knows what the app is like.

There is no need for this app to have access to my phone book, but won't work without it. Therefore deinstalled.

Really confusing

Tried to book a ride using the map for an obscure location. Seemed like a great use for the app since giving an address was difficult. Instead of using the GPS coordinates it converted it into an address saying simply "No name, Cambridge". This resulted in my taxi getting cancelled. The estimates are useless too. We hit no traffic on the way back and it was still nearly 50% more expensive than the estimate. Won't bother using it in future.

You don't need access to my address book for your core functionality.

... What's the point of having a "more than 4 passengers?" button if when you click it you don't get the option of requesting a car for more than four people? Like the "track my car" option though.

Why do I need to give my name, phone number and email address on the first page of the application?? I'm not asked for that when I book by phone.

Address finder is poor. Tried post code, my road just the village. Nothing. Deleted.

Only supports 4 passengers

Latest update allows you to pay through the app, track the driver, get fare estimates and pre book cars (which you can't with uber). This is a must have app for anyone living and using taxis in Cambridge.

You need to add things like estimated fares, it should also be easier to book a taxi, so you can put in where to be collected and where to be dropped off.

Used a few times after that it stops working.when you must needed freeze...

Unable to book via account(as far as I can tell) and the phone number is actually wrong on the app, so you have to ring them as you would normally. Map looks nice (that's a plus)

Used it twice and it worked great, not wasting time paying by card at the end of the journey. However, since then it has not worked. Every time I try and book using my account, it just says it's taking too long and to phone the office. The number they provide is also wrong, it has an extra number where it shouldn't so the 'call' button on the app doesn't work. You have to then phone up like normal. If these problems didnt occur, I would've rated it 5/5

Could do with moving the 'track your taxi' button away from the huge 'cancel booking' button. Not clumsy drunken finger friendly. Also, gets my postcode wrong and pin is nowhere close on map - hopefully the drivers don't use it!

Worked fine except that I had to give my card details to the driver again even after adding them to the app before purchasing a ride

Service is absolutely terrible. Booked a taxi, driver passed by me literally without stopping and never returned. Customer support promised to call back, but never did. Avoid at all cost.

Literally anything is better than the old app. Congrats guys, this one looks good! Just watch out for Uber's lawyers..

Great new mobile booking system, complete with automatic card payment and a moving map showing the taxi on its way to the pickup. As easy to use as Hailo or Uber - thanks, Panther!
