Big Book Alcoholics Anonymous

I use this daily! I have a hard time reading due to dyslexia. Page numbers and highlighting would be nice but it only takes a second to find it in my hard copy. Another great feature would be if you had a note pad to take notes and bookmark them. Other than those MINOR suggestions, this app is perfect for the recovery junkie on the go :) I spent way more than $2.99 on drinks so I can't complain about that! ;) Thanks!!

It's a meeting in a "can"! I love the fact that all the meeting elements are included starting from the preamble. When I cant get to a meeting I just chair my own, and those opening words and readings are the precious foundation on which our fellowship rest. The fact that I have to pay for the rest of the audio content does not bother me in the least( you should have seen my booze bill). I know it takes a lot of work to create and improve an app like this so the small upgrade price is Nothing. Great App!!

It's a good source for meeting material and a good amount of the readings from the essential format we suggest. If you want more you can buy the complete package. It's a little opportunistic when it cautions you to not risk your clean time on the same page as the purchase option however maybe we need a little push sometimes and it does offer a lot for free. The app might make more money if it asked for donations instead of a set price.

Owner refuses to allow update of paid for updates on a replacement phone despite having proof of purchase and easy fix. Unscrupulous owner / cs rep Tushar instead demanding a code number never provided at purchase. Big run around and unfortunate attempt to charge double when someone gets a new or replacement phone. Shameful exploitation and greed. To bad especially for this type of positive book/app.

I can't believe it's come down to this. But what a great time to be alive right? AA in a handy dandy app. When I think of the money I spend drinking, this is worth it to me if it can help me dry up. I appreciate whoever took the time to pull the together.

App says it is free. Suddenly you have to pay (a lot!) to get over half of the original big book. Would be a decent app if they charge a reasonable amount at the start. As others noted AA is free, and a paper copy of the big book is cheaper. True to alcoholic nature I sometimes want instant results. Might not be as fancy but it might very well serve me better to do the work myself instead of using an app. (Simple, not easy)

Audio sounds somewhat robotic I wish it had a search feature. What's up with all the noise in the background of the guy who is narrating the big book mainly HOW IT WORKS. Needs page numbers.

This app saves me the shame of carrying the big book around with me. WhenEver if feel the need for help from bill w and gang its right there at my finger tips. I love the audio book option. I think all the chapters should be free AA is supposed to be available free to anyone. The sobriety date part of the app is an awesome reminder of how far I have gotten. Thank you for this wonderful app. Ps all the book should be free

SEVERELY CRIPPLED by the absence of The Doctor's Opinion, an unforgivable error which the publishers of the app know about and have not corrected.

It would be nice to be able to bookmark where you left off even after you close the app. Otherwise I love being able to listen any time I have a quiet moment.

Says it free but once you download it you have to pay to complete certain areas of the book. Misleading!!!

This is a great app! But... for some reason this app got deleted and I paid for an upgrade I got the app back and no longer have access to the upgrade! I want the upgraded version back. But don't want to have to pay... Ugh how can I get it back?

I would like really to make How it works free for new AA members it would probably save a life. Come on we must do the right thing.

if it is offered as an app. why can it not be a complete manuscript? there are so many new people in recovery that could use this and might not be financially able to pay for it.

This app has helped me with starting my recovery. I drive about 20 minutes back and forth to work so it is definitely gods blessing that someone put the big book on audio book now we just need the whole thing.

This application has been such a wonderful help and blessing in my life. My occupation does not allow me to read very often so I can listen as I work.

So easy to use and means I always have a big book with me fantastic value for money at £2.29 for the full version I love listening to it before I go to sleep at night. And really handy to have on while I'm doing stuff and the narrator has a really cool accent not anoying like many other talking books.

So easy, with so many different types of information I can't get enough. The best part is i don't have to have the physical book in order to reference the best information.

Great reference and answer book. Page numbering (SO important to the recovering AA member) is this product's greatest shortcoming.

Can't believe I've been stuck using an old bonehead app of the Big Book. Talk about crisp and innovative! This app is fantastic!

Not much help when ur trying to clue someone in.

It would be great if the doctor's opinion was included as its own separate chapter as it is in the new Big Book. It would also be nice if it could be highlighted. Otherwise great version and a great app

Please fix the auto play button so that it actually works. I have to start each chapter manually and its frustrating when I want to listen in bed at night. Otherwise I would give it a 5 star rating. Thank you

I truly love this app but i cannot get to my clip notes after i save them ??? Also i think yall should put page numbers that way i can refer back in my big book . not complaining this app is wonderful just some things need to be added if possible . thanks to whoever made this its wonderful!!!!

I haven't had a problem with it yet! Love having the big book read to me while I crochet. Lol

I think it would be great if u could add high lighting to this. This would greatly help me and I'm sure others too. Some of us can't read whole chapter at once so it would be great if we could high light n audio would also start where we left off. Good app though.

Love this app. Read the entire book thanks to the audio feature. Good for add alcoholics like myself. Gets a little useless when my sponsor tells me to read page so and so... But it's great save that! Thank you!

The doctors opinion is not in audio and this chapter is equally important after all is part of the first 164 pages i was suggested to read when i gat sober and it became my favorite chapter hopefully it will be audible in a futur.

It's a great tool for me today I'm 57 days sober today, it will work if you work it.

With Bluetooth enabled, I can listen to it in the car over the sound system, which is very convenient.

The AABB is free online and you can download it as a .pdf if you want it. I like this app better because it is easier to navigate, and it was 3 dollars for all the chapters. That is reasonable imo. But I agree that the warning to spend the money or lose sobriety is just dirty, as well as a lie. Read it, sure, but you don't have to spend money to read it!

It is a great app, but you say it's free and it's not. The text to speech function should be free throughout the app. Individuals using the app have enough problems. Cut us a break, will ya?

Few bugs, doesn't always open with sobriety calendar when settings are supposed to. Low interactivity. But for free, really don't expect many frills. And that's meant in a positive way.

Your third party app is asking people to pay 3$ per chapter in a Book that's free!!! In The Big Book of A.A, under preamble, it says; The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. THERE ARE NO DUES OR FEES for A.A membership! Were self supporting through our own contributions. A.A is not allied with any organization or institution & doesn't wish to engage in any controversy. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve & maintain sobriety.

LOVE IT !!!!!!!!! Obviously the only book that helped save my life. Now I can read it ANYTIME ANYWHERE without everyone around me knowing what I'm reading.

I have begun my recovery with this app and the help of meetings and it has been a great tool for keeping me on track. Highly recommended

I am added so mush with this app. I am able to study and learn to support my day to day recovery.

I rested it on the podium next to the speaker and let chapter 4 play. Everybody enjoyed it and it wasn't during a meeting.
