The iBAHN app is an alternative to using your hotel room’s TV remote control. Where permitted, the iBAHN app also frees-up your viewing experience by making content mobile, letting you, for example, catch up with the TV news on your Android device by the side of the pool, watch movie trailers over dinner to plan your evening’s entertainment or even watch the movie on your device.
With the iBAHN app on your device, and a connection to the hotel’s WiFi, the following are available at selected iBAHN partner hotels worldwide:
• browse and select TV channels
• control your in-room TV - change channels, modify audio settings, and power off
• control the playback of movies on your in-room TV - forward, rewind, pause and more
• use your device as a keyboard and mouse with the TV Internet feature (iMedia) for full screen, HD internet browsing on the TV
• view trailers for available movies
• select movies for watching on your in-room TV or, where available, stream movies to your mobile device
• browse hotel promotions and information
• stream TV on your mobile device anywhere there is WiFi in the hotel (where permitted)
• watch different channels on your TV and mobile device (where permitted)

Due to local media licensing restrictions, please note that movies and/or TV channels may not be available for streaming to your mobile device at a particular hotel. Please contact the hotel’s front desk to find out which services are available.
Pairing your Device
After launching the app you are requested to pair your mobile device to your guest-room TV with a PIN. This pairing means that only your device will control your TV, and ensures that chargeable services ordered on the mobile device can be authorized and billed appropriately.
You can cancel the pairing at any time, for example if you want to pair a different device, or to avoid unwanted purchases if the device is shared with other users.

As per other reviewers, does not go past the splash screen. I was connected to hotel WiFi, there is no cellular on my tab to confuse things. Did a full reboot, same issue. S ago should be forcibly removed from the store, rubbish. Developer should be ashamed.

The app works well enough, but it requires access to hotel's WiFi in order to use it ($10) - most people don't use WiFi if they have lte. You need to either work with your providers to arrange free WiFi or eliminate the need for it if you want to earn more stars.

I was ready to join the other reviewers who pointed out that, after downloading the app and starting it up, all you see is a lovely splash screen. Then I decided to try something - instead of trying to connect over the cell phone signal, log in to the WIFI ... and it worked. And that's exactly what the description says: "With the iBAHN app on your device, and a connection to the hotel’s WiFi". And Bob's your uncle. That being said, I can only compare it with the LodgeNet app. The iBAHN app has much better volume control as well as channel up and down (the LodgeNet app's volume control is temperamental and has no channel up/down). iBAHN has interactive movie control. LodgeNet has inexpensive tv schedules. Both have an ON and OFF button. I have to give credit for the app (what is filthier in your hotel room than the remote control and the lamp by the bed?) ... although if you don't get WIFI for free, having to pay $10-$20/day you didn't expect isn't worth it for remote control.

Last updated 4 years ago. Airplane mode with wifi enabled on hotel wifi... same splash screen only problem like everyone else. This app should be removed from the play store, it is no longer updated and just plain does nothing.
