The accountancy application is intended for use by busy professional individuals in order to undertake simple accounting tasks wherever they are and using downtime to complete such tasks.
The tool could be used in a variety of scenarios including the office, at home, when travelling etc. It should therefore be simple and intuitive to use.
The tool could be used at any time of day, both in and outside of normal working hours.
Under normal use an Internet connection will be available so data can be stored remotely. Some key features/tools shall be available offline where remote data isn't required.
The overall aim is to allow professionals to undertake accountancy tasks during downtime in order to make their life more ordered and to ease the pain of completing tax and accounts returns. The ‘end-game’ once all phases have been delivered, will be to allow users to submit a personal tax return directly to HMRC using the app.

I use the all the time when doing my books or completing expense claims. Quick and easy to work out the gross and net position with regards VAT (or any other tax or interest payment that can be defined in percentage terms)... Can't wait for the next app from them that will apparently allow me to submit my receipts direct to my accountant using my phone's camera...
