HZS Jihomoravského kraje má nyní přes 900 profesionálních hasičů a občanských zaměstnanců. Plošné pokrytí celého území kraje zajišťuje celkem 26 požárních stanic (6 centrálních stanic jednotlivých územních odborů HZS a 20 pobočných). Během prvního desetiletí HZS JmK se výrazně zvýšila profesionalita a odbornost hasičů. Podařilo se modernizovat a doplnit chybějící techniku. Významná je i pomoc a podpora Jihomoravského kraje.
