This is THE best app for music discovery. The new ads suck. Please give us an ad-free option! I've paid for the app once already and I'm willing to pay to have less ads in my life while supporting you at the same time.

The Hype Machine gives you the freshest music from the unsigned and the heaviest remixes! Beautiful alternative to the costly musicgiants like spotify and applemusic.

Yooo this is definatly a great App and so simple but genius yall should promote this more and cut arist deals for them to put there music only on here also if you want to upload music how do i? Ill share your app with my music

Love the app, only thing I don't like is that I originally paid for this and still get ads :( However I would do anything to keep the Hype Machine going!

even after constantly force quitting the app and not activating it again, hypem will begin auto-playing almost everytime i stop using any other music app. it's also began playing music at full volume during recent meetings and walkthroughs with clients, while my phone is locked and untouched. love hypem and their concept, but i have no choice but to delete the app if these bugs aren't worked out ASAP!

Love Hype machine but unfortunately I'm having the track jumping issue as well. Currently the app is unusable because about 90%of the tracks won't play. Would rather pay for an app without advertisments that works....oh wait, I did pay for this app.

♡ Amazing. Easy and awesome. Familiarity with the site makes this a breeze to navigate. If Hype Machine is a great, fresh cup of coffee then this app is like a shot of espresso. (I do wish it worked offline though!)

Will just start playing randomly. Won't leave the notification bar. Generally doesn't run smoothly. Keep at it guys, good app but needs serious troubleshooting.

The app will stop playing music after a couple tracks if left in the background. I have to constantly go back to the app to resume playing. Also, sad to see the ads even after I paid for the app before it went free.

I've used this app for years and discovered plenty of new music with it! Although it's frustrating to see adverts appear in an app that I paid for, having read your blog post, I understand why it had to happen. I'm happy to continue supporting this excellent tool; please provide other ways for me to do so :)

I paid for the app and it has ads. What an effing joke. If I could go back in time and not buy this app I would. I was down to support a site that's given me so much music so I bought the app. Now it has ads. I wish I just stuck to playing it on my phone through Chrome where it works just as well and is free. It was 2 stars but the ads make it 1.

The app itself is great, however the introduction of ads means my paid-for app has been unceremoniously downgraded to a free-to-play. Surely an easy fix would be to give paying users the option to turn ads off...

Don't appreciate having ads added after purchasing the app. Read the blog, disagree on your practice to say the least. Will hold 1 star until this changes. Uninstalled and not sure if I'm coming back. Alienating a long time user.

since 1.1.6, playing a song brokes the android process so I have to hard reboot my phone... EDIT: still having the issue with 1.1.7 EDIT: fixed with 1.1.8, thanks !

Paid for this app thinking it was well worth it until they introduced ads. They say they need it now to continue developing since the app is now free. How about giving those people who paid for the app in the first place an ad free option? For those people who in the first place supported the app with money. It's a great app and well made hence the 2 stars instead of the one, but it really feels like I got boned. At least the ads aren't that bad, but who knows if that too will change in the future.

Was a lot better before the ads. Thankfully the music still works, but I don't use it nearly as often as I used to.

Very disappointing that this went from paid to free with no extra features for those that paid. **Now featuring 100% more ads**

I love hypem and loved this on iOS but its too buggy on my HTC One M8 - doesn't always sync the songs I favorite; loading a song takes awhile sometimes.. Even on LTE; crashes a lot.. And skipping doesn't work 20% of the time

Did not work at all on my galaxy note 3, running android 5. Now it kind of works sometimes. EDIT: Works much better now, great job! The tracks store for offline use as well, which is great for road trips.

Good app but a far cry from what I paid for a couple years ago. They run ads now and I get they need money but it seems wrong to charge for an app only to push ads like a free app after the fact.

No update for a Long Time, app doesnt cache songs properly anymore, IOS app has more features. Why that? I love the service so much, please Keep it up to date....

Dev was kind enough to reach out and let me know my issues were fixed. App works great now!

I used to love this app. Have had is since 09 on mutiple devices ios or android, convinced at least a dozen others to buy the app too since it's a great app. Now offline favourites is gone and there is ads. Common those of us who paid for it should be grandfathered into not seeing ads!! Not fair! Have the option for ad free and bring back non WiFi or data based listening!

this update is horrible. it was already lagging b4 the update. now i play one song.. as soon as its done, the entire app stops working. gotta go back on and play the next song. the app's widget also disappeared. this is my favourite app for discovering music. pleeeaase fix it :(

Having 1 star until ads are gone. Great app works brilliantly but really pi##ed about the introductions of ads. I'm the one of the loyal followers of hype machine for years and bought the app to support you guys, just shows us all how lowly you think of the people who has supported you all over the years
