The Original Compost Tea Calculator™ is an innovative mobile app for brewing actively aerated compost tea (AACT). Its functions are applicable for personal garden use and also for larger agricultural and farming practices.
Enter the amount of water you need to brew with and it quickly calculates the best ratios of nutrients and amendments used in brewing compost tea. Select a system of measurement, US or Metric, and choose one of our customized recipes, Basic/Grow/Bloom/Foliar. The app provides you just the right amounts of key nutrients and amendments required in making quality compost tea as well as a list of upgrade ingredients that can be used to super-charge your tea.
Additionally, The Original Compost Tea Calculator™ mobile app contains a how-to guide that provides step-by-step instructions. The how-to guide includes sections on tea brewing equipment, preparation instructions, cleaning instructions, glossary of terms, useful conversions and frequently asked questions.
This app is comprised of advanced biological algorithms that are progressive in advancing organic and biological farming practices. Our recipes have been formulated and field-tested in Humboldt County, California. They have been examined and approved by local soil scientists and biologists for horticultural use. Our recipes provide well-balanced ratios of essential nutrients for creating microbial life, which in turn promote plant growth, vigor and yields as well as an amplified resistance to pests and pathogens.
Here are some of the important benefits that can be gained through its use:
• Increased interactions with soil biology allow nutrients to be available at rates plants require. This means using fertilizers 1/2 to 1/3 of the time. It also means the fertilizers that are used are super-charged by the microbial life interacting with the rhizosphere (that’s the root zone). The app is a great idea, but I felt I had seen it all after about 30 minutes of browsing. The calculations are nice, quick, very user friendly, and simple. Why only have one recipe for each stage? I'd suggest a multitude of recipes for varying phenos ie: sativa, indica, ruderalis. Explanations on the ingredients are in need. Frass is not something most anyone has ever heard of. Keep it up and this is a multimillion dollar app.

With this app and using only the nutrients that they refer you to use give me up to 2 inches of growth per day I just believe that's incredible I will always use this application for my tea recipes once you get used to amount they tell you to use you can kind of play with singing different amendments to your compost teas

When I grow my crops at the Shire it is always very difficult to find the right formula, especially when Gandalf asks me to grow his magic flowers for his routine pipe smoking. In all seriousness, this app has proven wonders to my ability to accurately make the exact amount of ingredients for my tea. This app has also taught me how to make tea and apply it accordingly to my plants... In the Shire. This app is freegan awesome!

For the low cost of this app I wasn't hoping for much but was pleasantly surprised at what a great handy tool it was! For the low price I would have been happy with just the handy conversion feature built into the app but this app actually helps make excellent quality tea's! Best money I spent in 2014!
