Hulu: Watch TV & Stream Movies

Device no longer supported? In one day I went from watching shows to no longer able to watch shows, WTF? If you want people to enjoy this app, you need to make sure it works constantly with previous devices. Fix it. Edit to previous review. The app is working again on my devices. Great shows and movies with a wide variety of genres. Thank you for fixing the app.

Dealing with the same issue as many other users. Both my phones (Alcatel Idol 4 and a LG V20) are currently receiving the error message "Device Not Supported". Please fix this annoying bug. I would unfortunately have to close my subscription if I lose mobile accessibility. Since it's about half of the way I view content on Hulu. Thankfully it still works on my SMART TVs.

Better selection than netflix (my opinion) BUT even with over $80 in my checking account using my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with a solid 4G LTE network connection through Sprint... EVERYTHING that I try to watch whether it be a TV show a movie or a movie clip I get a pop up message saying "Expired Video". Hulu support has taken too long to respond to my email so I am canceling my subscription and uninstalling this app.

It's alright... keeps buffering all the time... takes about 2 to 3 hours to watch a 30 to 60 minute show on it... the one thing I'm not happy about is that I have my hulu account linked to my plenti card... when I first started using hulu I was supposed to get X amount of points for signing up and watch 10 episodes of a certain genre... well... it never gave me my points... so my question to hulu is... when am I going to start seeing these points you and plenti owe me from the time I signed up til now...

Update : hulu is incredibly fantastic. That you for fixing the update. I was horrible going 6+ hours without hulu. But since the update it has been fantastic. I totally prefer it over Netflix. And thank you Hulu for responding to my review. It's nice to see yall care about your reviews!! #teamhulu

Every time I get a text or call or go out of the app , I try to go back into the app and my screen is all white. So in order for me to pick back up from where I left off I have to close out the app completely re choose my episode and then wait for it to reload. Rlly annoying!!

I've been having a lot of problems with watching shows & then it stops, starts crackling/skipping during show, or just stops working around 8:30/9:00pm. Now I'm receiving msg stating "The server key used to playback has expired. Please try restarting the application." on my smart TV! I installed the app on my phone & it stated the device is not supported by Hulu?!?! I'm seriously thinking about cancelling my subscription.

I'm not sure what exactly is going on, but I went to turn Hulu on & now all of a sudden it states my device isn't supported by Hulu & I can't see/watch anything from my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 & have been watching Hulu on it since I got Hulu & never had any problem. If I can't watch it from my phone, I'll be cancelling it quickly!

I am very upset. Hulu has a lot of good shows that Netflix doesn't have. I decided to try it and had already watched 5 episodes of a show from my phone. I went to watch another episode and hulu informed me that it does not support my phone. I am very, very upset by this. If hulu doesn't support my device then why did it already let me watch 5 episodes? I am paying for this and I can't even use it? Are you freaking kidding me?

I'm ONE day into the free trial..ONE day and this app has given me so much trouble.. really? Great selection of movies and shows, but what good does that do if your connections can't keep up with your demand. #TheyreWatchingUs

Just signed up for the free trial and I can't watch anything. I keep getting this message saying "Sorry, an issue has occurred while streaming this video. We apologize for any inconvience." I had this same issue with Hulu a couple of years ago that's why I switched to Netflix. Netflix plays without any problems and best of all they don't have commercials. Hulu sucks! Period!

It isn't supported by the Galaxy Samsung S6 EDGE+ what happened??? It works fine on my computer and PC. Today, 2/28/17, it was working fine until it was turning night time. Whenever I go watch something, it says something about a "Device ID Error" while my phone is EXTREMELY great.

"your device is not supported" anymore? is there a bug with the new update? is it a contract dispute? no, kind of notice or notes on the web site or email on why these changes are happening. poor customer concern on hulu's part. This (and the fact that they took off the daily show) will earn you a ONE Star review for a PAID subscription app. ( will revise this review if ever these issues are corrected ) - Good Day.

Had a seven day free trial went to cancel on day six they gave me two more free weeks. That's a lie they went ahead and charged my account. Problem was it wouldn't work on my phone was going to get a new phone. Since they lied and tricked me and I watched absolutely nothing I will not be coming back. Please remove all account info including backups. Thanks Tim

Since the update I have not been able to play Hulu on my Android phone, where I watch it most of the time. The app starts out fine and then when it goes to play. NOTHING, A BLACK SCREEN. I've uninstalled, cleared all the data. NOTHING works. Thinking of stopping my subscription as I'm paying for something I can't use...Would rather purchase seasons from Amazon than deal with this.

Great app !I also do Xfinity TV to go and that's good for regular TV shows when you don't have cable, but I'm starting to like it more everyday. Everyone has a lot of complaints about the ads but isn't that everywhere these days ??? Honestly Xfinity on the go has ads that sometimes are 4 minutes long Hulu's ads seem to run for only about 30-90 seconds. Has a great variety of movies and hit TV shows I enjoy that they have many options! Great app !

I got Hulu on my Amazon fire stick. There is no account options on that app. It automatically sets you up with the, "more commercials than regular TV package." I wanted to upgrade to commercial free. So I downloaded this app. After 40 minutes of running in circles, I find on a back page in small print that commercial free is only available through apple pay or Hulu pay. There is no way for me to switch my payment from Amazon, through this app or the web site. The only thing it offers me is the option to cancel. Which isn't looking so bad seeing as I have Netflix and prime TV already

Very much improved since launch. Never had any issues with the app. With every new update the app has gotten better. Great collection of shows and original series. Love the British and international selections. Movies catalogue isn't the best but certainly a good variety. Sure there's adverts but it's quite limited when compared to actual broadcast. Best value and looking forward to the live channels when it launches.

Update: My phone and smart TV now run the Hulu app just fine again. It must have been something wrong just for the day yesterday. I really do love the selection of shows on Hulu. I was watching on my phone just fine earlier, and now both my phone and my television say that they're not supported, and the playback isn't supported. I've tried everything to get these apps to work on my smart phone and smart TV, and nothing worked. It sucks that I paid for this and can't even use it.

Why not get netflix?? Because netflix sucks. Netflix is mostly for movies where as hulu has a plentitude of tv shows to watch while semiltaneously providing a plentitude of movies that you can also view. Also rating this 1 dtar because for some reason hulu is no longer supporting the lg stylus 2 plus phone when previously they were before the update. Whats up with that? UPDATE: the app bow works fine. Not sure what happened but im happy.

None of my devices are "supported" to play any of your videos. This is not the only issue, I pay a lot of money for Hulu plus ad free, but many times it won't even load or there will be so much buffering that it's point less to try to watch something when it's not an internet issue since netflix and Amazon prime video both work. Please get your act together Hulu, you have netflix as a perfect model, use them as the good standard please.

Not sure what has happened, but since I upgraded to Android 7.0 on my Motorola Droid Ultra 2, it's stopped playing any of the shows. I've done uninstalled it and seeing any updates haven't happened yet. Kinda disappointed ATM, but if there's another solution it'd be great, otherwise if you're working on an update than I'll understand.

This app works fine in my phone, but when I try to open it up on my tablet it can't even open up because every single time it says "Unfortunately, Hulu has stopped". I've uninstalled and reinstalled this app several times and it still says this. I'll continue to give it one star until it gets fixed for my tablet.

To renew, or not to renew... that is the question-- whether 'tis worth it to renew my subscription or to just give it up entirely? I've been straddling the proverbial fence for some time, unable to decide: Hulu or no Hulu? Alas, the decision was ultimately made for me, as Hulu crushed the last compelling reason I could find to stick around when they removed "The Criterion Collection" and it's entire glorious catalogue of wondrous films from rotation. Alas, poor Hulu, I knew you [once].

All of a sudden my Samsung Galaxy S7 is not a supported device? I uninstalled, re-installed. Logged out and back in. Still not working. Please figure out a way to fix this. I love Hulu, especially with the no-commercials plan, but will unsub if I cant use my S7!

LONG TIME Hulu user. This isn't a bad review for the Hulu service. I still love hulu as a service but for a week or so Hulu videos won't play on my droid turbo 2. I know it specific to the app because it works across all my other devices : my Xbox my fire tablet my wife's iPhone my smart tv. Please fix this bug I really don't get it. All the menus work fine and I can even select something to play but then it just doesn't play.

The only device that I use for my subscription has been "unsupported" within the last 24 hours, (Samsung Galaxy.) Please fix this asap : ( -- Thank you so much for the quick fix!!! Love this app, it's my go to. Current TV with the cable bill ♡

Hulu has made some fantastic growth in recent years. However I'm nervous, like with the CW leaving. We've received larger Blockbuster movies recently, that's been nice. Yet I don't want Hulu turning into Netflix. Love the commercial free option, I begged for that option before it existed.

Ok i love the app so far.... until today. It says my galaxy s4 is not supported which is bs because ive been using it on my galaxy s4. Ive payed so please fix this i really love the app. It has a wide variety of movies and shows. Even anime both in English sub and English dub. Plus in HD quality. Also as a suggestion could you please add The original Teen Titans show i loved that show

I'm not sure what is going on with android and this app. But My phone is a zte zmax from metro and I was watching movies and TV shows perfectly fine on this phone. Now it says that hulu doesn't support my device some ID error and I uninstalled and installed the app and still even turned my phone off and still the same thing logged out and back in and it still says the same Thing How can hulu not support my device when it was doing just fine now it doesn't you guys shouldn't say hulu can be watched on any device. If clearly now it says real clear that my device isn't supported. Smh.

BRING BACK "The Daily Show w/Trevor Noah"!! That show a being available was a big contributing factor in my subscription. The fact that you no longer have it, tempts me to dump Hulu right now!

Worked GREAT for a long time and I had absolutely no complaints, but since the last update I haven't been able to stream anything and nothing loads past the commercials. Very disappointed - please address so you can go back to being 5 ⭐'s! Using a Motorola Droid Turbo.

I love hulu!! Only thing is i wish I'm certain shows episodes wouldn't expire so I can make sure I watch everything if I didnt have a chance to watch the first few episodes of a show if I missed it. And would love if they had some more network's and more shows that the networks play. And that certain shows new seasons pop up earlier but other than that I love it

Hulu get you stuff together! Videos keep stalling out and whenever I stop a video I'm casting it loses my place. That's s huge pain whenever I have to keep stopping videos to reload because they stalled! Netflix doesn't have this problem. This is the primary way I use the service.

This app is a joke. On your phone it works no problems. On the Xbox it cuts off alot. The wii needs to buffer constantly but yet netflix runs great anytime I click on it. Time to find a new TV app. Maybe one that has ppl who work out the issues instead of ignoring them

Its very good. And to those who r saying too many ads i dont think so. 1st its designed to be just like cable and 2nd there are only like 3 ads on each episode (except for movies). The monthly fee is very affordable and i like how fast these shows come out

I don't understand this app. It is too expensive for the app to be as glitchy and as bug as it is. Downloaded the app and it made for shortcuts on my phone and just keep cycling a download. Then I watch a show and in the middle of the show it tells me that my phone is not supported and locks up. I've spent more time over the past week trying to watch a show then actively using this app, I will not be coming back if they don't fix this and soon.

I recently joined Hulu, and got the 1-week free trial, which I love. I've tried watching Hulu on my Samsung Smart TV, but the app just malfunctions, and brings me back to my Smart TV's home screen. Not only that, whatever I watched, continuously buffered. The only way for me to watch anything on Hulu is to either watch it on my tablet, or my iPhone. I have no problem with the app. It has a good selection of movies and shows to choose from. My only issue is the problem when trying to watch it on my Smart TV.

Trying to watch on my Android 7.0. Just updated Hulu and still no shows start. They all seem like they're going to, with the channel logo in the corner and TV rating in another, but the screen remains black. I can't even exit without closing the phone completely and reopening it. Not sure what this bug is but please fix!

I dont know whats going on.. as im reading some reviews i can see that after the last update a lot of phones are not being supported by Hulu. I literally just watched my shows fine yesterday and today it keeps saying hulu doesnt support my device. Samsung Edge 7 . I hope this if fix soon or i will cancel. I use my phone for most of my shows... so please fix it! I like hulu but there's no point of having it if it wont work when i need it to.
