HughesNet Mobile for Android
Lots of problems. Not to mention very slow speed a lot. Customer service could use a make over also. Can't wait until my contract is up. The app is hard to understand and poorly developed also. Now with new update it won't save my info along with not letting me sign in as before. Please either rake back latest update or redo the whole app! Things are getting worse as my contract goes on.
Never again, service goes out when it rains harder than a drizzle. Speeds not even good. Trying to get out of contract like $300. Can't wait for contract to end. Probably good for states where there is not much weather.
This company is awful. Do not give them your money. They false advertise the quality of internet that you will recieve and then jam you in a contract so your forced to pay them either way. Find any other internet provider, seriously.
App updated, now I can't log in. Says my info is wrong. Tried to reset password and it asked me to answer my 3 security questions, which I did, they say I'm wrong. Pshhht. Right. What a hassle.
Cannot sign in. The satilite is out and can not get any help. They got my money though... direct payment. Not happy.
Worst internet ever don't do it, charged 200 first month with 0 service for most of it. Garbage company

The app only has one feature that isn't available in my account online, the Wifi meter. I was looking for a more accurate usage meter. Uninstalling now. Also, I have been on satellite internet for 14 years and been with Wildblue/Exede for the majority of that time. That company was not exceptional, but much better than HughesNet.
Service cuts in and out all the time. I had to change to an Att hot spot and now have continous service... Don't get stuck with crazy termination fees for unreliable service. It is stupid how these companies can rob you for services you cant use.
We live off grid in Montana, so having reliable Internet service is a luxury. We have had wonderful service with Hughes net, their Customers service has been great and if there has been a problem, they did everything they could to correct the issue. We did see we seemed to use a lot of data on the Gen 4 system but just upgraded to their Gen 5 system 10 days ago. Still using the internet the same amount of time (2 phones, 2 tablets) but our data is still showing negligible use. If there was a glitch it appears to have been corrected with this upgrade.
The app tells me I'm offline and won't show me account details. Yet, I'm clearly online (and yes, using my Hughes WiFi) otherwise you wouldn't be reading this.
The app does what it says. Others complaining about service are used to line based internet. Cable,dsl. Service is exactly how it was described on website, the flier, and customer rep. They all warn not good for hd videos, mmo gaming, especially Xbox live, or PSN. Does what i need it to do since i use none of that. Highspeed runs out quick like phone or wireless hotspots. But you still have service in the 1-3 meg range. Can still ebay and even check facebook.
I was told that this was great for an area I live in remote. So far from the truth. It does not work good. It is so slow cutting in and out so now I am just trying to finish my contract and get rid of it. I hate that it has a 2 year contract.
I think this app is broken, it always says we're out of data when we clearly are not... Not to mention it only shows 30gb of data and we're on the 50gb plan
Signed up paperless billing September was making the payments over the phone November comes HughesNet had taken out $71 for a month that has already been paid. Which caused an overdraft in my bank. Called HughesNet they realize they made a mistake but would not refund the money all they would do was credit the account so we are stuck with the negative bank account because if you HughesNet Nets mess up. Had to take money that I had saved up to get my hair done and put in the bank because of their screw up.
Most people rate Hugest as bad, unreliable, slow. Etc. Although the speed isn't the fastest, it gets the job done. I live in not such a rural area, but can get Internet via ground. So this helps me do my HW on BB & and also surf the Web with a 3 second wait time. It's a luxury really. And better than driving 20m to go to school to do my H.W or take a simple quiz. Thumbs up!
App works great, service is good. Coming from comcast blast service i wasnt sure what to expect, but pleasantly suprised so far. Much better then 1x/1 bar of 3g at best cell service
This app doesn't work for my Android droid turbo phone! I have to keep registering a new account to see information! If I sign out and try to re-sign in, it tells me the system is unavailable. This is bull crap! Fix your app!!!!
App is terrible. It shows 99.8%, then one day suddenly drops to 34%. Either it is not accurate or Hughes net is doing that to sell tokens.
This is the worst internet please DONTGET HUGHSNET, DONT GET STUCK. FIRST THEY LIE TO YOU ABOUT THE PRICE. I WAS TOLD MY BILL WOULD BE 61.04 FOR 20 GB. WHI HRUNS OUT IN 2 DAYS. DO,TKNOW HOW.THATS ONLY WHEN WORKING. I HAVE PAID 465.04 in 3 months of service. I am so sick by them.
Have soooo many problems for soooo much money. I hate Hughes Net and can't wait to move where I can get rid of it. Can't download anything because it uses up your data unless you stay up until after 2am or up way before 8 am. I have to unplug it everyday and plug it back in to connect to internet. I've called a 100 tines and no help at all. They just tell me I've got to go thru everything before they can send someone out. Way to much money for such poor poor service. After taking 3 of there surveys "to help with customer service", now I just ask at the end why do you ask you never do anything about it. I wouldn't recommend Hughes Net to anyone.
Just registered to use the app and can't log in. Keep getting error message of oops we are having trouble locating your information.
It worked the first time I opened it and never worked again. It's just as sad and broken as their Internet and phone service.
Never has real time data. View current invoice only works half the time. This app has a lot of room for improvement.
i live in the country so i dont have a lot of choices on internet providers .HUGHES NET SUCKS,LYERS CONMEN PLSE DONT MAKE YHE SAME MISTAKE AS ME
This app is not supported on Tablet Devices. It MUST be installed on a cellular phone. On devices with limited storage this is problematic.
The app errors "This account is not allowed to log in." Consulted tech support, zero help. Remove, reboot, reinstall. ..no joy.
Every attempt to log in results in "An error occurred, the system is currently unavailable"
Network is never available on my Note 4. Uninstalling now. Update: Now on S7 Edge. Contacted support and they fixed the issue.
The app won't let me see the data usage or even my service plan. It keeps saying it won't load.
Had to switch to my phone's data network to download and use the app, my Hughes Net connection was too slow..
Worthless. Just like your internet service.

Manual pay needs help; when you click on billing or go to make a payment, the place you pay at doesn't show what you owe. You have to go back to the previous screen and remember the amount to enter. It should show your amount due and offer you to pay that amount without the user entering it or at least show the amount to enter on the same screen. Just too many steps to pay your bill and too much hassle.
