About Moby Dick Listen and Read
Usual recordings have a narrator read more than one chapter, example chapters 4-6 in a single recording. I am happy to provide you with Moby Dick a chapter by chapter audiobook, like a real book. And like a real book you can link to the best online text at the Literature Network www.online-literature.com.
If you want to skip (first time through), don't miss the beginning, Chapter 1 Loomings until the Pequod ships out to sea. Find a few interesting parts and then read Chapter 61 Stubb kills a whale, Chapter 91 The Pequod Meets The Rose-Bud, Chapter 91 Ambergris, Any chapter that has dialogue is usually good reading.

Summary
Few things, even in literature, can really be said to be unique — but Moby Dick is truly unlike anything written before or since. The novel is nominally about the obsessive hunt by the crazed Captain Ahab of the book’s eponymous white whale. But interspersed in that story are digressions, paradoxes, philosophical riffs on whaling and life, and a display of techniques so advanced for its time that some have referred to the 1851 Moby Dick as the first “modern” novel. - Stewart Wills narrator of this Moby Dick recording
