About DeckWins

Next generation MTG mana optimizer / land calculator.

Follow our blog at http://www.deckwins.com

DeckWins answers the questions: "How many lands should I have in my deck" and "of the lands I have selected for my deck, how many should I have of each type to best support my spells?"

Forget counting mana symbols and other heuristics: Using exact combinatorial calculus based on the cards in your particular deck, DeckWins calculates how many lands to best include, and of what type. Ever wondered how many basic lands you should include in your MTG deck to support your fetch lands? DeckWins' mana calculator has the answer.

Creating your deck is a breeze with the included card database.

Currently supports decks of up to 60 cards.

First things first: Big up from my side to the devs - most good new apps fail early simply because the creators aren't communicating with the users and that way they won't see where they need to improve. You're not one of those. You did listen. You will probably survive in this sea of software out there if you keep this attitude. Now, secondly, why only 4 instead of 5 stars from me? Because your *.txt import doesn't work right now (at least not for me), but I'm sure you'll keep working on that. It might be easier to implement *.dec first since that format was specifically created for digitised MTG decks and is widely used. The *.txt instead by itself is (simplified) just a very long string with an encoding, which calls the need for additional format and phrase filters to function properly without throwing errors or showing misinterpretations. Focus on getting *.dec to work first and then implement *.txt afterwards, because keeping the latter working fine is a never-ending story. Greetings from Germany, John P.S.: You guys rock! Im eagerly looking forward to the next version already =)

Brilliant idea. Unfortunately not very transparent on how it does things, which nags on trustworthiness. Otherwise really good. Especially for draft and sealed.
