HTC Connect

Iam very sad from htc. I have called htc middle east more times about this problem and no solution. my phone is desire 728 and i have toshiba smart tv that was connected with samsung mobile and worked fine. Really i think that i won't buy htc brand again for many reasons i want any solution for my problem or i want my mony back.

Htc one m8 was working fine with miracast to screen mirror onto my samsung tv. All of a sudden it no longer recognises miracast and cannot detect my tv. Unable to screen mirror at all when previously could how do i go back so my phone uses miracast as this does not even show up at all as an option?

I have absolutely no problems connecting to my devices, but the only way to disconnect is to let it time out. Why isn't there a simple "off" feature?! I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for that very important function.

Only thing it discovers is my Chromecast. Three DLNA TV's and discovers none. It doesn't always discover the media player on my computer. The Media Share app on my M8 worked better than my HTC 10 does with HTC connect. Tried third party apps, but they're no good. Disappointed...

Update: clearing all data and cache worked. ..... previously: ALL of the most recent updates removed everything except Bluetooth and one DLNA device. When I reverted to the old version, devices including Microsoft display adapter, Miracast, Roku and Chromecast reappeared.

After the last update...I can't connect my e9+ to my Samsung TV....fix the app...for 5 stars. I have 3 TV in my home, all different...it looks like it is scanning all the time but the phone is not able to detect them. I uninstalled the updates and it started to work fine. It is something wrong with this update....

I have HTC One m8. Sometimes I can connect to my smart TV just fine using miracast, and other times my TV never shows up as an option. Usually I restart my phone and it works again, but sometimes even doing that doesn't work. Like today...

*UPDATE. After receiving an email from HTC I was told it was a chromecast issue, however I live 4 miles from my nearest neighbors and do not own a chromecast. I am extremely disturbed that such a once good company has lost their care for their customers. I am returning my BRAND NEW desire 626s tomorrow as I can not use my phone without this app autorunning.

My TV, my BlueRay, my Receiver, my laptop, my BT clock radio, Roku, DLNA devices, my car audio: can't play MP3's. HTC One m9, and all are same 2-5 year old devices that *all* worked fine under HTC One m7, and HTC Desire prior to that. Just throws errors. HTC One m9 and this app don't work together. Panasonic app works, Yamaha app works, Roku app works, Philips app works, but not this.

Really loved this feature on my old HTC M8. Got the HTC 10 and the picture quality is terrible, it is all jumpy and glitchy. I need help with fixing this. Please don't say delete data from HTC connect on storage as I've already done that!

It was all good. I was casting my Android on laptop and playing games but as soon as I thought I should update this app I made a mistake. It won't connect anymore it keeps showing connecting endlessly.

I have spent so much time trying to get my phone to play anything to my chromecast! The devices are communicating with each other, the Netflix screen comes up on my TV. When mirroring It says connecting then says disconnected....I have tried updates, factory reset on all devices! HELP PLEASE! I Have had no issues with my LG & my only option will be to go back to my LG phone! Thanks

I have a HTC One M9 and it does not allow me to connect to the firestick and then does not pick it up and also it will mirror foe 20sec n then disconnect not happy at all. My Mrs has the S6 and it works fine.

Initially it was able to connect with my Sony Android TV W 950C. But now it's unable saying that failed to connect. Is it miracast certified?

After hours trying to hook my phone up to my new smart TV that has miracast and Intel I gave up . Worthless app

My e9+ worked fine with my UE Boom speaker which connects with my phone via Bluetooth. After the last update, it doesn't work anymore. Also, I have problems with screen mirroring on Samsung Smart TV . Thank you.

Came pre-installed on my One eye. Couldn't make it connect to my Samsung TV even once. It can see Bluetooth headphones but not a TV. Poor show.

THKS FOR NO FIXES EVER! Why does it DISCONNECT after 10mins? VERY VERY annoying. Why cant you FIX it to keep connected, sleep when necessary, instead of disconnecting? ALSO, it INTEFERES 5G + 2.4G connections. Video quality looks LOW-res..but MHL HDMI is excellent!? Work on the connection BEFORE adding other protocols! HDMI through MHL also DESTROYS cellphone signal! VERY POOR .. HTC phones becoming RUBBISH! WHY doesnt HTC Connect just connect to what is in ticked list instead of scanning all time?Why is there an ERROR in Hotspot when Connected? You will ALL be OUT OF WORK soon. WHY buy new HTC if old series dont work!?

I just purchased a 5200 series Samsung Smart TV solely so I can screen share/mirror/cast my Netflix to my TV using my HTC desire 626s because I don't have internet at home. I have tried everything, and can not get this app to even pick up my TV, does anyone have or know a fix? If it really won't work, HTC, I'm super dissapointed. I just purchased this phone two months ago new, don't you think your hardware and software should be up to par with the current technology out on the market?

I have a htc desire 625. When i try to connect ro my dvd player or smart tv it doesnt show up. It just shows up as Dlna but it doesnt cast the screen or audio or anything. Even when i press "Scan option" mira cast doesnt show as a option. Help!

you can play your music or movie in tv or some other things without any cable . your phone need have htc connect

Some people who don't know to use this app are giving bad feedbacks and lowering average ratings. If you don't know what it is just uninstall it and stop complaining.

It's not working anymore. Unable to connect to PC. Before I use it and I like it so much, but now I can't and I don't know why? :( But I will still give five stars to this.

I'm on my 3rd successive HTC phone, suddenly, this one won't work with Media Link. Sure, I could but a Chromecast but, I shouldn't *need* to as Media Link did what I wanted it to. Very disappointing. Fewer and fewer reasons to buy HTC next time I'm upgrading.

Still after the last apdate When i try to connect my htc10 to my sony during miracast device it unable to connect. I can not connected my phone htc with my system sound during screen mirroring. ???????

Constantly freezes up... Can't actually watch anything on my T.V. so frustrating... And so dissapointed!!!

Desire 530 won't pick up smart TV or Xbox. Had a $40 phone that connected everytime. Poor show htc

After some updates it doesn't connect to my tv but before it connect very well. But now it always try tp connect via screen mirroring ..... That pathetic .... Please update it.

Terrible! Won't connect to any smart TV. It finds it, tries to connect, then says failed. Have cleared data, reinstalled app and still no luck! Should have stayed with Samsung! My gf's phone connects in seconds

Never really use app. Should be optional to have app on phone. Should not be pre-installed. Waste of space on phone.

It won't discover my chromecast. It will find my TV but it won't connect to it reliably. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it says connected but it won't play. HELP!

Before the last two updates I could connect to both Chromecast and Microsoft Miracast. Now it will NOT connect to Miracast and will not stay connected to Chromecast. Please fix it and I will give it 5 stars.

Ok so I got the HTC One A9 and I accidentally dropped it three times without a case on it because I just got it and now when I go to turn it on there is a static overlay on it how do I get rid of it?

I don't know where to find this app(or where any of the HTC apps are) They are not on the screen or in the app drawer. Where should I look

My HTC One M9 does not link up with my screen beam mini2 is there any suggestions you could provide to make this happen?
