I update but can't see the new settings for my videos. All looks the same

Video recorded from my own phone ain't supported.. it says media is not supported. Disappointing

It's a phone, not a PC. If I really need to launch .mkv, I can do this with 3rd party apps. For playing videos I took its more than enough. Great job HTC

Always loved the simplicity of the player but now that I've got an ext.SD card I store movies, but b/c of the format I can't hear them

cant play any type of videos, i dont use this video player any more

Sometimes unable to playback videos when surfing the net.

It doesn't support .mkv files! Every time I play a mkv video it lags and crashes... VLC can handle it even though it's beta...

Finally I was waiting HTC to have his own player like samsung and others by default,yet the one thing is missing,i would like to give us ability to manage switching and add subtitles into video,I didn't noticed any bugs like some people say,my phone read mkv..mp4,other formats don't,but this is ok! only avi..missing and it will be perfect,as for the sound,everything working normally yet,please HTC can you do this for us,pride users :-),give us a good fine player,you can do it.5 stars :-)

I love how people are complaining about lack of mkv. Not even WMP supports it so expecting a default media player on a phone to support it is just silly. Anyways, keep up the good work HTC.

Issues with supported file types and no chromecast support...many better options out there for my HTC M8

It is not good for htc users to use another app instead of htc video player but when i could not play 4k videos and different types of files with this i have to use mx player.please solve this problem

Seems like a lot of people seem to be having this issue including me, so WHAT are you doing about it, where is the fix?? Due an upgrade and this issue will force me to steer away from HTC!!

Nw its fine....can u add all type of video support and make it like mx player i mean left side for brightness and right side for volume...

I DON'T NEED THIS! I have my own stellar app I use and you force this subpar crap on my phone. Not a good way to keep customers HTC. And they wonder why everyone roots their cells. Maybe CVS they're sick of this crap. When I look at my play store app list now, half the list is "HTC...." "HTC..." "HTC...." "HTC..." And it's just getting worse! What's next, a required HTC relationship advice app?

Htc M7 video playback has problem so i thought it was the phone ageing. Upgraded to M9 and within 6 months. Video playback issue. Big files will have problem syncing / displaying video. Disable "view video" app and problem resolved. Only to realized it cause more frustration with the user interface. Now i had to hard reset. Coming from HD2-M7-M9 such a disappointment. Now it is just a piece of metal. This is the last HTC i will get.

I can't view any of the videos that were recorded on my device using my M7. They all take way too long to load and buffer the entire time to the point I just stop trying.

Their is an aspiring problem your app is getting. Not being able to support media file types. Why is this problem accuring we don't know. But as you guys being the developers if the app we ask you to fix this problem please.

Please provide ac3 audio support .. in high quality video.... Movie.. also provide.. more features.. as vlc media player.. so we don't need to move with another.. media app like mx player .. or any other

It said every video isn't supported. I make music and not being able to receive files for a song is complete bull! fix this!

It's fine. Plays videos . Simple no crashes. The only thing I can edit is to trim it.

Should have a pop up play feature on at least snapdragon 800 or Above devices...

Half the reason why I have a HTC, is because there commitment to update there phones for X amount of time.

It now supports subtitiles. No need to use third party programs

With this recent update on the HTC one m8 (lollipop) all videos including local files as well as you tube has a syncing problem. People's lips are out of sync with there voices. So I uninstalled this update, which fixed this problem.

What kind of player does not have the option to rotate the video? No, I will not use the auto rotate option in the settings; I want to rotate the video, not everything in my phone.

Hi guys.love the HTC M8 but why doesn't the software on it support Flash Player.my old HTC One SV did have support for Flash Player.iis it something you didn't add on to the M8?.please explain this to me please.

HTC killed a perfectly good Sense TV app with no explanation. Do not trust HTC with anything. I have an HTC One M8 but my next phone will be a Samsung. HTC is dead to me. Steer clear of HTC products. R.I.P. HTC. I leave a one star rating and it keeps getting deleted. Is HTC so concerned with negative feedback that it has to delete it daily? If it spent more time keeping customers satisfied they wouldn't be leaving negative feedback in the first place. I have Lollipop 5.0.1 and it is not an older version.

Great updates but some video can't play audio AC3 ... And please update option for dual audio ....

The application is great but it has one future that is annoying me so much that I can't rate more than two stars. When exiting the videos, it remembers where the play left, like a pause, and it keeps this for a very long time. It is useless in so many ways, even more, annoying. Please review this. Thanks!

I would love it when I could have the videos running in the background cause I'm a person that downloads music videos and not only music so it would be great if it could run in the background so I could do other stuff while listening to music

I really like the video player but what I personally miss is a lock option like in Samsung s video player so that it isn't a problem if I accidentally tap somewhere I'd give five stars if a lock option would be implemented:)

It will be better if you add lyrics support and playing mkv files

When I tried to pause/play quickly some moments in video in row pause button after few times of pause/play wont pause the video like it's not working when I hit it first time he only reacts when I press it second time. When you fix that you will get better rating till then 2 stars from me becouse problem is iritating.

Think ! Htc player can't play some of important video formats . Is not this issue efficient for starting a major update . Think please ..
