HTC Social Plugin - Facebook

HTC, had I the opportunity this instant, we are DONE! Seriously, we are. Why have i got to be developing constant headaches over useless and baseless reminder and of sewerage apps? Phone's not more than 13months old and has even given me more troubles than the government of Nigeria has given all of its unsuspecting middle class citizens for 57yrs.

Hello to you too this like adults and let us decide what we want to load. You fill our phones with commercials why don't you give your phones away for free. How much more money can you make on craps

More crap to clog up MY phone. There needs to be an option to hide updates you don't want such as social media junk and language add-ons you'll never need.

Although I used to like this app, ever since I upgraded to the HTC 10, it has been pretty useless. The app constantly disables itself, and no longer works with Facebook unless it is manually re-enabled within Google Play. And then, it works for only a short while before disabling itself again. A fix is sorely needed.

I don't use blink feed but do use Facebook from time to time. I'm just glad I'm able to remove this so I can clear up space on my device. Anyone that all upset because you think you cannot remove anything on a mobile device, think again... DANIELINIRVING

No Facebook posts show up on BlinkFeed every time when I update the Facebook app, and by the time it finally works again, Facebook has come up with yet another update. Same thing with instagram--Blinkfeed was showing my instagram posts and I loved it(!) until I updated instagram; when I tried to add instagram back into my BlinkFeed, it kept on having login failure. Please make it work again--I love this feature when it's working!

Why the hell am I forced to have this plugin on my phone? I reset my phone, and now, I can't disable it anymore! WTF?! HTC, I love you..but NOT if you'll be forcing unwanted apps on me without leaving me an easy workaround...

I just got this phone. Good camera quality but when it comes to Fb OMG!!! And where are the emoticons? My old Alcatel phone is more cooperative. Hopefully it will get better after trial & error again. Glad I don't have a contract and didn't get rid of my old cellphone. Concerned, HTC user

So far as ive been able to gather, this is just useless bloatware. It is not fb. It does nothing. If you want fb, you still have to download it.

I didn't ask for it to be put into my htc this app is not updated it won't let me delete it much less get into my messenger it won't even let me use the normal facebook app can't wait till payday I'm so done with htc!!!!

I am forced to use the outdated factory version of Facebook, every time updates are installed the app will not open just flashes on and off and wants to send an error report every two minutes. I have a HTC Desire 625 and if no one can tell me why it does this I will be switching very soon! Not a happy consumer!!!

I hate all the apps I am forced to keep on my phone just because it is an HTC. I agree with the others at least let me disable all the useless crap. I don't use any of them but have to have them on my phone because of the manufacturer. That is ridiculous. Will never update this or any other of them. Don't use them and prefer to use my phone space for stuff I like.

Can't stand facebook and why can't I remove it from my phone? Stop forcing this junk on people

Not only is it forced download on my phone but every 30 minutes or so a pop up comes up telling me it doesn't work and asks if I want to send a report. Blocks my Netflix, everything. I can't install it or the updates even to fix it. I have the HTC desire626s and my husband the HTC desire510 and we are never using HTC again. I don't even have enough storage to download an app to put on my memory card because of all the required apps on this phone. Switching asap.

Ever since you forced this download Facebook won't open Messenger will not work I go in and uninstall it it comes right back up I reset my phone it comes right back up you're forcing this b******* on me so my next paycheck I buy a new phone and guess what it will not be an HTC phone and then I'm going to go on my computer and I want to blast HTC I hope no one ever buys your stupid ass b******* again. It is funny everyone's posting your having problems with this and HTC does not reply

I have over 10 apps from HTC that can not be removed or that will make other apps that I do want act up..WTH HTC stop this nonsense

I don't understand why phones these days come with App's already installed...In when you download ah app they want permission to your contacts camera Wi-Fi like what the hell isn't that illegal...

This update has totally messed up my blink feed! It won't let me check fb. All these ads and video ads!! Get rid of them!!

Please remove this useless app from my phone. Keeps telling me "Facebook has stopped working", and "Messenger has stopped working". This update has clearly upset plenty of people..

I hate it cause I have to uptate 5 or 6 times a day and it also has a fix bug so fix it or am going back to cricket

Soooo dissapointed with this one, Guys! Out of ANY App's that I have EVER downloaded, installed, tried, used, and uninstalled, then DELETED... THIS ONE IS THE WORST! How in the hell, does so much PORN appear in my blinkfeed? That smut NEVER appears on my FaceBook Wall! EVER, NEVER, EVER!!! Don't work on the bugs... DELETE, DELETE, DELETE!!!

I hate programs I would never use being forced onto me.

When my contract is up so is htc, I'll be going back to Samsung, HTC is the worst phone i have ever had

I'm so tired of these pre-installed apps that I can't remove, changing the settings on my phone so they can auto update.

You pay a small fortune for phones and they are full of useless crap that can not be uninstalled.

I don't "do" facepage, so WTF should I have this shovelware on my 'phone? I'd like to remove it, but least let me disable it. If you dare to suppose you know what software I need or want, then perhaps you could also advise on my clothes and shoes etc... If you force close it then it still runs at 'phone start up anyway. Listen up now- this is why people root their 'phones.

Cannot uninstall, cannot ignore, don't use fb, don't need this and other forced apps and don't want them loitering on my personal device which I purchased for my benefit not yours HTC... Last HTC, had enough. Would give zero stars if possible just for the sheer arrogance.

This is failing over and over and keeping me busy with removing pop ups. I am quitting HTC just so you know. Its been 2 months and problem persists.

I presume that this app is responsible for how my HTC One m8 pulls contact and other info from my Facebook page to use in blinkfeed and my contact list. Why doesn't it pull the profile pictures for use my contacts anymore. Please help.

I, like another poster, will be leaving HTC when the contract is up. Too many useless and forced apps. Crawling with Google. Why would an app claiming to be educational for my kids need access to my contacts? I have an idea HTC. How about letting us pick the apps we want and leave privacy pirates like Google out in the cold.

Way too many forced apps. I need this app I don't want so that an app I don't use can work with another app I don't use? I'm getting cyanogenmod and never buying HTC again.

You are missing the entire point of your phone! Not to sound like a troll on a forum, but when you bought your phone you should have known what was in store. HTC sense is about networking made simple. It always has been. You are complaining bc of something you don't use when the majority of us chose HTC bc we DO use these features which make the phone what it is. Great work HTC! Keep up the good features! People should get to know their brands before deciding which one to buy.

I don't understand why they stripped these features from the original app. For messenger, it makes sense. This, not so much. But either way, it doesn't work.

Why do you force your customers to have their info shared! We don't all use Facebook yet you stop us disabling it. Where is our security choices? May be I need to chuck HTC due to their lack of consideration for our privacy. Other manufacturers give you the choice of what is automatically run on your device. June 2016 - Yet again another update that can't be disabled whether you want it or not. HTC definitely going downhill. The amount of user we're finding saying they won't use HTC again!!!

When I click on a post in Blinkfeed, sometimes it opens in an older-looking(?!) Facebook app and usually it says "Content not found" even when the post still exists! Also, I can't choose to open the post in the browser, which is a problem since I hate even the correct Facebook app, and I can't disable it!

How do you get rid of this worthless Facebook crap without wrecking the rest of your apps
