The "fix" just doesn't work. HTC just doesn't care about us.

Come on HTC, when you pay this much for a phone(U Ultra) you expect to use headphones of YOUR choice, fix this please!!

After getting the adaptor from HTC, this app works perfectly

Adapter works perfectly on my U11 and year old ONE10! Those complaining don't get the fact that the digital to analog processing is performed in the adapter and the provider needs to supply the driver/software. It's not an HTC thing if you are not using one from them. As for the U Ultra, I'm not tracking as it works great on my HTC 10, which is over a year old.

HTC!!! Help your users! The app doesn't allow you to use a generic usb-c to 3.55 audio jack. Not all your customers have the U11, there are many users that got the U ultra, the bolt, or the U play, so you must change the configuration of the software to allow users like us (u ultra) to connect a generic one. Because as you must know... only the u11 brings the adapter made by you... So plase help us, and don't dissapoint us again. Thanks.

The Bolt is the ugly sister of the 10. I do weeks of research on the phones I purchase for the price I am willing to pay. What you have in your hand is an expensive mini (overpriced, in some people's eyes) television. Let the buyer beware. After a disastrous week with my first smart phone, (A Samsung Replenish, by the way- I got sold on it.) It crashed no less than 6 times a day. Then bought the htc evo 4g. Never left htc since. I gave up, very unwillingly, the dual front speakers,of the M9, for this, unending wonder of phone technology. I bought- and got-what I wanted. I researched. I also received almost 40%off. Why, I don't really know. But, I I've been with Sprint for 6 years, and htc as well. Take notes. PS : I almost bought the Bolt. But the SALESPERSON talked me out of it. Her words? "too glitchy". Great marketing, glitchy phone.

My HTC head phones work fine,when using the HTC type c to headphone jack it doesn't recognize it at all..so I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and still doesn't recognize the HTC type c to 3.5 mm head phone jack the comes with the bolt phone....

STILL doesn't work. No change with update. What an irritating, unnecessary problem HTC have provided

The adapter (supplied with phone) does not work with my u11 anymore. Functioned one day but now the phone does not react on plugging in the adapter.

It works, you need to purchase the official hardware that HTC has on there website. Third party dongles will not work on the HTC devices sadly.

Still not working

Same as with most people, I still get a message saying that the adaptor is incompatible. This "toolkit" is supposed to do one thing and it seems to do nothing on my HTC Bolt. I don't believe the app does anything at all. There is no way to interact with it. I got no screen that confirmed any activity. I installed it. Play Store said it had installed, and otherwise nothing changed. I did not getting that "Update firmware" screen you see in the picture. I got nothing. One star.

HTC Ultra user who feels left behind by HTC, not even the simplest things such as adapters are supported, a massive "F-you" to any consumer, dissatisfied​ to say the least, the use of any 3.5 USB c adapter should be compatible instead of limiting this to your own over-priced non working adapter. Thanks for another huge disappointing mistake, exactly as used from HTC. Sad to say at least.

It's ashame because I REALLY love my HTC Ultra but I can't listen in my car!!!!

Got HTC U11 and the adapter worked fine for a short while now no longer works at all. Stuck with the U11 sonic in ear headphones. Extremely dissapointed!!

This requires the use of an official HTC made usb-C to 3.5mm adapter. The HTC adapter is what this firmware updates. Not the phone. So generic adapters will not work. Mine works great but I got an official adapter from purchasing HTC U11. :)

Yup, doesn't change a thing. Buying the Bolt was huge mistake. HTC doesn't appear to be doing anything about the issue.

All these people mad and giving bad reviews because they have a different phone that the adapter didn't come with/i have a HTC U Ultra which when I ordered my phone I knew it didn't come the 3.5mm adapter so I ordered one from HTC when I bought the phone/its not HTC's fault people don't have knowledge of what they are buying

You know that you have HTC U ultra users RIGHT?!! Just update the phone to make it compatible with any USB C to 3.5 audio jack. We loved you guys enough to buy the U ultra knowing that there are alot of flagship phone's specs not included in the device, so just update that one thing

HTC has left all their supporter aside... It will be the end of my 10 years support for HTC.

Dear HTC I have my HTC M10 just got the U11 yes I thank you for the free head phone and adapter my headphones sound louder in my HTC 10 and I'm able to use the boom sound with dolby audio not so in the U11 does the new phone not offer that option

If your adapter is not working download Sound about app still show error message but you can bypass it

Unable to use generic usb c headphones adapters, it's bad enough that we don't have a headphone jack!

Completely useless if I'd known the audio Jack would've stopped working I would've got a different hand set
