What are users saying about HTC File Manager

It's not too bad as a file manager, fairly lite on resources and fast. O e problem I have is the lack of built in archive extraction or compression (though compression is included). Zip is obviously essential and sometimes rar or tar. All in all not too bad but a few mods would make this essential app better.

In this file manager have internal storage, removable storage, favorite. But no kind of allocation for USB storage. USB driver detection by using explorer. This explorer first show erase or format USB drive then what we do? So kindly please consider my request to the next update. HTC file manager should like a user friendly file manager and include USB storage location. Now we presently use unauthorized file manger from play store for USB purpose,so how to trust this like app . this is intolerable.

I have htc 10. When try to move a file from source to destination, and the other file exist with same name on destination at that time please provide auto rename on runtime option so that we can keep both files on destination instead of replace or skipping it.

Definitely need a "Skip All" button when transferring a ton of files at once to one place and there's similarly named files already. Pressing Skip manually a ton of times is very tedious.

Cannot move or paste the files from phone to otg drive. Please solve the problem. Removable disk option gone from file manager of last updation. after marshmallow updation i face this problem. In file manager doesnt show otg option. The otg can be explore through only notification bar.

This app is useless. I cant even move pic frm internal to sd card. They always stated full access to removable storage not granted. I dont remember i have such problem when i use e8.

HTC Corp. must work on the file manager recycle bin system. As its puts a handy work with the unneccesary android folders which are created and deleted with other folders. Some useful data may be deleted as on hurry process like free up memory for urgent requirements. Also show up the "time remaining of the copying/moving files in notification panel", it helps to do other task as time relevant. Thank you. Hope will get soon update from the developers.

When pendrive is connected with otg adapter, it gets detected but can not move or copy file from phone to pendrive & vice-versa. So disappointing.

I am unable to connect USB pen drive using OTG cable. File manager doesn't pop up when OTG is connected

Q70%
by Q####:

Application looks better but ability to skip all similarly named files is no longer there on the new version. Please fix.

Q70%
by Q####:

Shows everything as being on one hard drive, yet the phone insists that there are two drives, one for apps and the sd card. Guess which one is full, and of course it's full of crap you never use but that HTC and Google insist you have and won't let you move or delete.

HTC 10- Can't transfer pictures from device to storage. Bring you on a go around about access you can't find. It wasn't like this before. Today it seems many good functions missing and bad ones remains for HTC. Time to seriously drop HTC as a choice after 12 years and 14 mobile sets of usage.

Q70%
by Q####:

Selecting files to move or delete (at certain levels in list) is nearly impossible due to scrolling bar popping up. Some files don't show up, eg; snaptupe downloads.

Not able to connect flash drive after update. Please arrange to bridge the gap....

H70%
by H####:

Works quite well. Actually, where it does work, it is perfect, but I can't access from here all files, and saving to SD card involves firstly saving to phone, then transferring. Also, users like me would appreciate file encryption, so that a big finger can be given to Big...not my Brother, and a rat-trap to snap on the end of his nose that doesn't belong here.

I think it's a fatel mistake when sorting by name don't work correctly with numbers and also there is some features like zipping and undzipp aren't included although it's very important. So with some missed features and fatel mistake with the app itself, i don't think it deserve a high rating. Sorry

I only installed this to transfer files to USB, but it can't find any USB I've tried. The instructions say to use a drop down menu to locate a USB, but that menu does not include any USB options. Very frustrating.

Remove the updated version of file manager (go back to old version from play store). Then reupdate it. Open the updated file manager again and it will show your OTG as before.. Worked for me..

Very much fond of it but plzz change this current htc file manager icon. The previous icon is better than this. The previous icon looks more gorgeous than this.Plzzzz changed it.

Q70%

After the new update, USB OTG support is gone. Earlier version was superb. Please include that essential feature to the file manager and never remove it with an update. It's what makes a " Smartphone" actually "Smart"..

Q70%
by Q####:

The HTC Bolt will come laden with bloatware like DraftKings right out of the box, but something as critical and important as a file manager requires hunting down HTCs app in the play store. Smart. Also, there is no gallery app on the phone. Just let that sink in: there is no way to look at the photos on your phone, unless you allow them to first be uploaded to Google through the Photos app. With decisions like these, is no wonder HTC is dead in the water. GIVE ME BACK MY NOTE 7, SAMSUNG!!

P70%

So easy, great and works brilliantly. Find, move and sort internal and SD card files with utter ease for my HTC One M8, M9 and HTC 10

Q70%
by Q####:

How do I use this for the HTC desire 10 pro it keeps telling me to go to the overflow menu and make the SD card an option. Abit confused.

Q70%
by Q####:

Clean, crisp and very functional. Would be better if I could theme the file icons with HTC sense themes.

Q70%
by Q####:

In the older version you can move your file from pen drive to SD card using otg cable but in latest version there is problem to do it the same..so I keep the older one you should fix that whenever I try to do that in latest version it tells me to give a permission and I did it many times still it doesn't working out

H70%
by H####:

This is what a file manager should have, I don't need all the witchcraft and annoying notification that other applications output.

G70%
by G####:

It worked when I had my M9 now I have the 10 and it is not allowing me access to move files into different folders.

C70%
