About HTC Backup
HTC Backup saves more than 150 settings like your accounts, contacts, dictionary, Wi-Fi networks and more. When you reset, replace or upgrade your phone, you’ll be able to quickly restore everything from your last back up.
Your phone will back up automatically once a day when connected to Wi-Fi. You can choose to manually back up your phone anytime. HTC Backup saves to your cloud storage account, and your data is protected by your HTC Account sign in.
HTC Backup does not support photos, videos, music or documents, try HTC Transfer Tool instead. HTC Backup can only restore from a backup on phones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. You can try Google backup in Settings > Backup & reset instead.
Note to AT&T customers upgrading to Sense 6.0 with Android Lollipop:
You must uninstall your current version of HTC Backup, then go to Google Play to install the latest version. Without doing this step you will receive the following error "Unknown error code during application install:’504’”

Upon updating to the newest HTC sense, the application crashed and wouldn't let me access my other applications. After some time, I was able to uninstall and reinstall HTC sense only to discover that all my app preferences, settings, themes, and most of my contacts had been reset or deleted. Then, while trying to download from my backup the error message shows " unfortunately Google play services has stopped working". I have no idea how to recover any lost data. Please fix bug and launch support to recover

Whenever i try to hit restore from backup it keeps giving me the message "unfortunately google play has stopped working".. you should fix this up as soon as possible.

Didn't restore. Got "unfortunately google has stopped" also got "unfortunately HTC Sense has stopped". Ended up doing factory reset without a restore cos it wouldn't do it.

I've backed up my phone and when i try to factory reset it said it was currupted.. but the htc backup app wasn't restored so i tried to restore the app then restore the backup.. but the backup app started the auto back up and now my backup is gone....

This backup and restore was the only feature that made me buy HTC phones for the past years. Sadly, you've discontinued it.

setup HTC Backup account but backup never completes. It appears to stop when it wants to access my Facebook account which icve declined. Why should it crash? Updates v4.5.696131 no details what's new... On HTC One [m7] Vodafone 4g, Android 5.0.2, Smart Launcher 3.24.11F(beta)
