A lot better than scanning to a USB stick. I can scan, view, send direct to dropbox from my Android tablet. The buton to do this is for some reason labelled scan to email. Minor winges.... The Aps display is fixed and does not rotate to suit the tablet. The scan function does not detect the presence of paper in the feeder, use settings

Latest version of this app doesn't let me print right anymore. It prints the very top of whatever i am printing and then stops. Sometimes it gives an error message and sometimes it sits on sending for 10 minutes before the printer just pushes the paper all the way through without the rest of the job finished. Printer works fine from my computer and prints the pages right. Galaxy Note 5. hp 2600 all in one.

Pretty good but needs for features/ options/ settings. The SCAN feature is handy but needs improvement. Please add more scan-time options such as brightness, contrast and most importantly EXPOSURE, as it has a tendency to over-expose all scans Inc docs and photos. Well thought out app, but it's more suited to a novice user and not a power user with more computer expertise. Thanks... Look forward to improvements.

Love this app! The HP Smart app works ten times better than the PC application that comes bundled with your printer. Get the app and never have an issue scanning anything ever again! Lots of convenient features and a beautiful, logical interface to organize them.

After some wrestling I did hook my printer up to my wi fi and I CAN print from my phone. HP seems intent on signing me up for $132 of ink for $36 a year while restricting refills and holding ink prices artificially high.....is this a class action lawsuit invitation or what lol. HP crooks. Maybe if they'd concentrate on selling $36 worth of ink for $36 they'd keep the refillers on ebay from taking over legally.

The app is great but one feature I wish they would add is that once you scan a document to your phone you cannot scan in another document to the file. Example you can't scan I doc with glass scanner then add a doc from the feeder to the same file. That's very annoying. Also you can't select 2 side feeder copy so if you have double sided docs you must scan them all by glass scanner. Also very annoying. Comparability to scan docs straight to phone then send them through messages such as emails of slack is extremely easy. Extremely easy to set up printer to phone and very user friendly app other than the mentioned above.

can't remove Print error message. I print pdf doc from my phone to the printer using wifi. In the middle of printing, wifi connection got lost. Apps shows error msg but unfortunately the msg can't be deleted/remove. It is really annoying

This was great, until somehow my printer decided to not connect to my wifi. Now I cannot get it to sign back up. They keep printing me out instructions and using up my ink making repeats, but when I use the steps it's not working. My devices don't find the printer and I'm not even sure it's signed onto my wifi. I can't get it to work now. A waste of money for a printer if it won't even work.

Nooooo. Please let me go back to the previous version. I rename every file that I scan then email in groups. In the previous version renaming would retain the previous used file name. Now I have to retype the whole name EVERY TIME. Plus you added a step to access my files. This is a deal breaker if not fixed. I want the previous version. Please.

Total garbage. I have a new phone. My old phone works with the envy 120 but that HP app is no longer available. I have to use this SMART app which gives the error "printer not available right now Come on HP support your products

Cannot print anything on my laserjet pro mfp m125nw using this app. It keeps saying waiting for the printer to respond. Even though the printer is ready. My mother in law can print directly from Adobe and I can't on my android

For quick scanning of single sheets this app is great, very quick and high quality. Also very easy to save to Dropbox. Is there a feature to allow scanning a second page that is not already in the ADF? if so, I have not found it yet but it would be great.

Worthless Won't work with my LG phone to my HP printer unless I use WiFi. Won't let me use tethering. Will have to use my Laptop. Need to improve this app greatly. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

I download an app to scan a document. The developers are that inept, they couldnt even do that. This app is only good for selling your information 'anonymously',while providing no service in return. Dissapointment.

The App appears to have been installed at the Google Play store; but my phone does not find any HP icon. And the App keeps asking me to sign in to Google to install... I'm just in a forever black hole. Can't even get beyond this first step! I will have to try installing on my computer and see if I need to return this printer! Frustrating!

I just used this app with my Samsung tablet and an HP Office jet 8710 Pro multifunction printer to scan an old photo for a visiting relative, shared it electronically and printed two copies on photo paper - in minutes. Intuitive interface and amazingly fast, wireless operation and trouble-free. This is something I used to have to do with a PC in the past. Frankly, I'd never used it before because I assumed it couldn't possibly work this well, or this easily. This is a great app!

My printer / scanner works much better with my phone than my computer. I have had so many issues with hp devices losing connection and having to reboot the printer or the computer, but not with my phone. Straight in every time, printing and scanning. I have (almost) stopped getting on hp.

When its working its great. I dont want to blame the app for the times it hasnt worked for me because it could be my internet's weak signal.

Worthless app. Don't know if it's the really the app or if it's the hp printer that never shows up as online. I can't print from my computer and I cant print from my phone either. Worthless app and worthless printer.

I was impressed with the scanning freatures. The user interface is nice, although the number of button pushes could be reduced for multipage scans. My biggest complaint was that this app would not scan while the android device was hosting the local area network to connect directly with the printer using hotspot. That seems like an unnecessary limitation, since the device browser was still able to access the printer home page using the hotspot. In the end, I had to use a third device as a router.

Easy to use app, I get to chose if i want to work with my cellphone or my laptop really like it. Sometimes takes a little time to connect to the printer but nothing major

On web pages I click on menu,but still no print option comes up. Disappointing.

No option to select paper size or quality. I wanted to print on a5 laser paper. It only offers a4 plain. I tried changing the settings for size, but that doesn't work. Surely the photo print selection should offer better paper choices.

Why will none of the HP print apps allow let me change the paper tray. It lets me select everything else. There is a drop down arrow by the paper tray but nothing happens when I touch it. Thus I'm permanently stuck on paper tray 1 which requires me to go hand feed. So annoying why have wireless printing

This app found my printer quickly (HP 3450), but it seems to have caused printing probs. I repeatedly got an error message on my printer that the ink cartridge was jammed. I cleared out the paper being used, reset the cartridges, and the same error would occur. This went on for about an hour as I tried various troubleshooting. The printer would even print its own status reports perfectly, but 'jammed' from this app. I only got it to print my document from my laptop. Don't know what the problem is, hope HP can investigate.

There is a constant notification about alignment recommended for printer. After it has been performed a couple of times, there is still the same notification. Quality of print on documents has slightly deteriorated since after update.

I can only get to my documents but I have printable files in my downloads and other places and then when you scan something you should be able to move your picture around you can't do that either very very very basic app considering it's 2018 we should be able to do more with it I'm actually thinking about taking the printer back

Auto opts in all sorts of tracking and marketing. Bad behavior. Old app was buggy, but this one seems to work.

Way too basic. Can adjust the image, place it on the page or resize it, all of which are available on iOS. Very frustrating.

The print and scan works seamlessly..good job! Appreciate if you could enable a 'delete page' feature to drop the page if scan is not good...while scanning multiple pages back to back.

Idiot app n app developers, they think only PDF's r documents, what about .doc..? Plz include all file types and let people select which file is to be printed..! Also users should allowed to browse through the folders, not just that particular,predetermined folder..

I wasn't sure it would be possible to make printing more frustrating, but trying to print through a this mobile app was definitely worse. It does well connecting to my printer while on the same wifi network but doesn't support many file types. Just PDFs and JPGs as far as I have seen. Amazon return labels use GIFs and those are not supported. Amazon labels are 90% of mobile printing in our house so that's a major missed opportunity for HP.

How about you guys try finding a solution printing from electronic devices without having to connect to a different Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi altogether because if my device can connect to my pro her I am not able to print because I still need Wi-Fi to use the app. What sense does that make??!!! I would like to be able to print using the app without having to connect to another network when the app says I still have to connect to the printer.

The prints are always fuzzy and useless. Yet, I don't have this issue with the other computers in my house.

This only works when connected to the same WiFi as of the printer/scanner. That doesn't make sense. If you need to print/scan truly on-the-go, forget this garbage app and save your NAND space.

Had trouble at first but turned out to be operator error. Prints right from my phone without having to go through my computer via email. Thanks!

I think it is fantastic, it has done exactly as required. When both my laptops broke down this completely saved the day with scan to email. I think it's an awesome app and highly recommended it.

hpe-print didn't use to require a Wi-Fi connection. Users could just email to the printer. Now you need a Wi-Fi connection. My cell phone IS my wi-Fi connection and the hotspot and wi-Fi antennas cannot be on at the same time. This is a step in the wrong direction. Thanks for the loss of capability.

Terrible. I'm connected to my printer but when I try to print it just searches. Works very rarely.

I used this app when I got my printer before Christmas to scan my university work and it worked perfectly! However, I left my halls for Christmas, came back and the printer would not connect to the app at first. When I finally got the printer to connect it would not and still will not scan using the app; however, I can scan my work using my laptop instead of the app absolutely fine. Very unsure of why this has happened, hopefully I can find a fix by myself! Very useful app until this, I prefer using the app
