HP iLO Mobile for Android
Why, oh why did they have to replace the great Android keyboard functionality with that ... that steaming pile of random keys? It effectively makes the remote console read only. Terrible design, horrible implementation. NEW: Does not connect to remite console on Android 7 anymore. USELESS.
It seems as of iLO 2.42 the web interface does not play well with Android's web view. The web GUI is missing the menu on the left. Same issue is observed on desktop with any browser other than IE/Edge. This renders the app useless besides the script and Rem console options. Low rating is to try and capture someone's attention.
It used to work. Swiching to a fhd display brings a useless keyboard with impossible to read key labels. Now it keeps crushing after server selection
Works perfect using local network, can access the iLO web interface over mobile data, but the remote console says ""There was an error estabilishing a control connection with the iLO." after it almost finishes loading it up saying "Starting video stream..." Ports forwarded properly etc, that's the only thing that just doesn't seem to work.
Thus will be a good idea once it is a true phone app and not a Web page in a phone app. Left side bar covers about 2/3rd's of the display. Can only scroll right side of screen so difficult to see the overview. Remote console is what I would expect - need to zoom in to see. But having to use 2 fingers to do anything is clunky. And I have to agree with another comment - what is up with that keyboard.
When spending 2000 usd on a blade server you expect the best control software. This app is an insult. It crashes every time you connect to a remote console.
One fleet of Gen8s and Gen9s. One app that crashes every time I try and open a remote console to any server. Great job HPe. If your app worked I'd be inclined to leave a better review.
A company of HP's resources should be able to come up with a better app than this utter waste of space. Tiny, impossible to use controls and UI, persistent force closing and 10 years out of date design. Uninstalled.
You can do better than that, you're HP not a small start-up with no funds! App crashes on a specific host, web interface from within the app unusable, and the list goes on, give us some credit and develop the damn tool, it's almost 2017 guys, wake up!
Will not connect to the Web interface. Companies that the login information is wrong... But the same login works just fine in chrome..
Just crashes everytime I try connect to a remote console. One single time it did connect but the on screen keyboard is useless and I could not login to the server. Shame as HP ilo itself is awesome.
Keeps disconnecting randomly, the keyboard is absolutely useless, mouse pointer inaccurate. Proof that hp still can't develop any usable software. Shame on hp
No import/export of connections, no groups to differentiate servers. Remote console might not work unless you hold the smartphone horizontally, might give an error that someone is already connected when no one is really connected, or might just silently fail to connect for unknown reason though on PC all these servers can be remotely connected just fine. Disappointed
Simply doesn't work. Can't login to any iLO. Avoid until HP update it which judging by the last time it was updated might be some time off. It's a real shame as the iOS version is brilliant.
Besides being difficult to use on a tablet (due to key size) the wonky integrated keyboard won't let me enter numbers, only symbols. Android already has great built in keyboard functionality - why did HP reinvent the wheel here?
Like HP's web site and all of their other software when it works its clunky and unusable. But you don't have to worry about that because most of the time it just doesn't work.
keys dont show up clearly enough to be usable and usb keyboard (which works everywhere else in Android) doesn't work at all. This is both on HTC One M7 and Moto X Play. Just read reviews and it seems I'm not the only one. Also last update was 2013, HP obviously have no interest in updating this app. Come on HP sort yourselves out.
The keyboard is apparently baked into the app and can't be switched. The buttons are so small they don't have labels. Totally unusable. (LG G4)

Crashes every time you try to do a remote session. This shouldn't happen on a nexus device.
The interface is quite dated and lacks basic features. The keyboard that pops up is completely blank and there are no options to switch keyboards to something that would actually work. Unable to actually do anything do to the bad keyboard design.
In keeping with HP's image, this is slapdash, poorly laid out, and barely functional. Can you use it to manage a system via iLO? Yes... but barely. Why HP figured using a keyboard outside of the system default was a good idea is beyond me. I assume it's just like all of HP's other choices in which they decide that their own methods are better than the tested and proven methods used elsewhere. Unless I find myself in a desperate situation and needing console access to a blade in a C7000 in a remote DC and all I have is my Android.... I won't be using this app.
You can launch the web interface like you can in a web browser. That's pretty much it. Good job it's free but you get what you pay for I guess. Shame.
Yes the ilo web interface works but I can do that with Chrome anyway, remote console crashes the app.
Excellent app for remotely power cycling a ProLiant via iLO, but unfortunately the soft keyboard is hopelessly pathetic, making it only useful for viewing startup to login and then you're unable to enter most complex passwords.
Also updating the UI to Material UI would be nice.
No pass through for android keyboard makes this app hard to use.

Not updated since 2013, remote console crashes the app. Seems completely abandoned by HP
This is not an enterprise application. This is a school project at most. Very low quality, a broken keyboard, no support for mouse or keyboard, very slow. I would not use this for a demo app. But this is what happens when you outsource stuff to slums in India.
Most of the keys are not visible on keyboard.. Cannot login to server. Android keyboard too doesn't come up for help.
Wow not sure you could get worse than this, even oneview works better with it's weekly reboot. Web page renders for the ilo and no pinch to zoom makes this app useless. Stock with using your regular mobile browser.
I tap remote console, and then it just goes back to the main screen after the progress bar goes across. HP please fix this! I'm running Android Marshmallow.
Everything works as it should on android app. The only problem is with windows browsers (chrome, firefox). I got problem with remote console maybe need some setup...
Works ok on Nexus 5 mobile phone but always crashes when starting video stream (Remote Console) on Nexus 7 tablet.
I want to use this but the keyboard makes it unusable. Most of the keys are blank and its too small too, so I can't even tell what to press to login. Please fix asap?
Keyboard is useless - on my phone keys are tiny and have no labels. Why not use Android's built-in keyboard?
Looks nice, but the abysmal keyboard makes the app pretty pointless. Impossible to write anything without seeing what's on the keys.
On LG G3 and the keyboard in this app is rubbish. Can't actually see any of the letters as the keyboard is all squished. Why even go to the effort of developing a keyboard in the app when all android phones have keyboards built into their OSes?!? Great idea, and great on Windows, but this android version is useless.

The app crashes every time I try to launch the remote console. Which is really the only reason I installed the app in the first place. If I wanted to access the Web interface I'd do it through the native browser.
