I couldn't believe it after trying out at least 5 other apps. This freaking worked. My PC wasn't detecting my phone after I accidentally cleared data for "media storage" system app. I spent several hours installing PC drivers and trying various apps on my phone. This one did it. Thanks, dev.

Awesome!!! My note 4 took a crap so i just bought a LGV20. Dropped in my sd card and the gallery would only see 4 folders out of 12+ on my card. A hour later I found this app and it worked. My gallery now sees all my pics on my sd card.THANK YOU!!!

My pics stored in sd card werent showing up in gallery. Once I used the app to scan the sd card all of the pics were restored in gallery. I tried doing this with several other apps of this category but none worked before I got this. Relieved.

Won't scan SD card regardless of what I do. I keep getting a message that "If the USB cable is connected to the device media scan may not work correctly." Only thing is I dont have a USB cord connected at all. I've unmounted the SD and mounted, rebooted the device, unmounted card and rebooted device so the phone could find it, and have ran this utility after every instance. Doesn't find the media...

Great! lessens the stupid delay which is a bad egg in the Android system. Why on Earth do the Android developers not sort this oversight... even before downloading the image, it's already in some of the phone memory from the browser cache and shouldn't take 5 minutes to show when downloaded.. it could just be copied across internally.

Update: if 'allow mock locations' is enabled in dev options, or if you are using a VPN, this app does not work... see below. No longer works. Also getting the 'disconnect USB cable' message and it won't scan sdcard.

It worked. This fixed my problem. All of a sudden, I couldn't see my Android files and folders anymore when connected to my PC. I wasted a couple hours uselessly trying out other apps to resolve this issue, until I found this app. I followed the simple instructions, ran the mediascan, and now I can access my Android files on the PC again.
