Hotspotio is a slick Android application that allows you to share and connect to WIFI connections with your Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin connections in return for favors.
You should have a favor in return when sharing WIFI with your connections, right? Sharing WIFI lets you define what kind of favor you want in return for being awesome. A drink, a hug, a like on Facebook or something else. People connecting to your network will return you a selected favors for your awesomeness.

absolute load of bull. you can not share any exisiting wifi you are connected to using this app. you can connect to wifi, but when you go to share wifi, it actually turns your wifi off and shares your 3g/4g as a wifi hotspot! you have been warned! this has clearly been misadvertised.

Could not configure it entered network name and passwords I wanted then nothing no connect no next buttons so had to quit and uninstlall

It says we can share an already connected WiFi connection with another Android. But the fact is, it doesn't! It just shares my phone's data connection via WiFi hotspot, which is a feature that comes pit of the box from Android.

Attempting to share a paid hotel WiFi connection with other devices fails. It disconnects the hotel network and just sets up a local hotspot which had no connectivity. Offers nothing more than the options a few screens down in stock android settings.

This doesn't do the one thing it was supposed to do. Opening a wifi Hotspot that uses your data connection is not the same as sharing a wifi connection. if i wanted to use my data, i wouldn't have gone searching for an app that replicates my phone's stock functionality.

Stayed on "authenticating IP address". Help FAQs says you can't do this with androids. Contrary to product description here.

The app idea is great but i would like to use it as a backup up service in case i factory reset my device or on my tablet unfortunately there I no option to save the network privet only to friends and public
