Terrible business practice, received a subscription fee AFTER using it, no warning. Basically cost me 12 bucks to park for an hour cause it only loads in 10.00 increments. Cant delete quick enough...

Monthly fees when not even using the app and not being able to log in half the time are killing the usefulness of this app. If I'm in a situation where I pay a monthly fee for use of an app I expect it to work all the time, especially for something as potentially time critical as parking. If I'm in a rush I don't have time to mess around with an app I can't even log in to just to process a payment. I've since deleted my account as a result.

I have not been able to log in for a couple days and today when I log in it won't show a list of cities so I still can not use the app. Not sure what has been up but with all the changes. Now I am now paying monthly fees... if I am paying more I expect more not much less. Looking for a fix soon or my deposit refunded.

Was a great service before charging a monthly rate despite not using it. If your using it often then no big deal but for rare usage not worth paying a monthly fee.

When I press the "delete account" button do my unused funds return to me? I used this app to save money. Now it's more expensive than just keeping some change in my car. Changing your model was a bad decision as you can see by reading all of these comments.

Not cool. One thing if people actively using the app have a subscription fee, but if you're charging me for not using the app a single time there is something very wrong.

When adding my credit card several months ago, the service explicitly said a monthly fee would only be charged for months in which you use the app (not counting the initial free 30 minutes of parking you are offered as an introductory offer ). I added $5 to my account, which was NEVER used. Despite that balance being untouched, I am coming to find that it had charged me $2.30 a month for SEVEN MONTHS in a row. It is sneaky and extortionate that the terms of service can change after adding a credit card to your account. I originally had deleted this app without explicitly deleting my account, but now it has cost me over $21 (only $5 of which were voluntary).

I'm not sure how these people think they can attract customers by charging monthly fees even when you aren't using the app. Uninstalled.

Not a great app for the casual Parker. They updated the Terms and now they charge every month for the app where they used to only charge when you parked. Attempted to get help refunding my balance and was refused. Highly recommend just using change

Works well on a Nexus 5. The extended saves the hassle of having to check on the meter. Good value if your in the downtown alot.

Can not stop monthly charges! Not using the app for several months. Still charging my credit card. Can not remove my credit card, can not deactivate my account, profile not showing. Also previously the app was charging more than the parking meter rate in almost all locations. As you can see from other users, this charging is a problem. I consider this as a fraud. I had $10 in my account then they started charging my credit card monthly! Now I lost another $15 other than that $10. Removing account means losing your credit. WTF! Charged $25 for 6 months for doing nothing and not using the app!!!!

Suddenly the terms of service changed without alerting me to a monthly subscription and they chewed up my balance. Basically that's theft.

Can't log in more then not, getting support is like pulling teeth. Great idea horrible execution

I don't park enough to warrant the cost of the monthly subscription. Too bad, the convenience was nice.

Monthly fees when you only use it occasionally is not a good model. And why do they need access to the camera, mic, photos and device id?

Great idea for an app, and the convenience it provides is just one of those little things that makes daily life a little bit easier. Love the design, and I look forward to more from the people who created this!

I was billed twice unexpectedly for a monthly subscription fee. Once on October 31st and again on November 1st. I cannot find anything about fees listed for this app and do not use it enough to pay a monthly fee. I do not recommend this app if they continue and will be cancelling my service.

This app used to be great but they switched to a monthly subscription model where you pay weather you use the app or not! Rip off! Do not bother getting involved with this app and company!

Ill be using up my wallet, as it doesn't get refunded, then deleting my account for unauthorised charges without notification.

The unexpected charge for a monthly subscription was disappointing. I really liked the app before that, but I simply don't use it enough to justify the monthly charge. Good luck with that.

Unexpected montly charge. I only used this once in a blue moon (not monthyl). Uninstall and never using it again. Going for refund.

I wish more cities used this app. Such a fantastic idea. I no longer worry about parking. A small glitch on previous version, but fantastic and easily accessible support from the developer. Very well done.

Was ok when it worked(which I had lots of trouble with), then they started to charge fees per month which makes the occasional use expensive. Good for.someone who uses it often, not for someone who only uses it once or twice a month. Disappointing.

It started out working just fine and suddenly one day it died and I tried everything, uninstalled and installed repeatedly, unable to get it to work. I get a blank screen with "HotSpot Parking" on the top and {{park_button}} on the bottom... and dead... I have a credit balance.

Worked for a while, then wouldn't load again, ever. Uninstalled, and reinstalled, tried everything. Now my account is not recognized as a registered user with funds deposited, so I wonder if I will be refunded. Wish I had never heard of this company.

It started of ok for a while, then it died on me... i couldn't get it to work, i didn't know what to do so i deleted the app, then i realize i still have a credit balance...

Love this app, use it frequently in Fredericton and Saint John. Saves me from getting tickets and having to run back to car to put money it! A+

I stopped using the app with their new payment method. It's not worth it anymore.

Great features to be able to refund my remaining time, add time away from the meter, and get parking validated from lots of businesses downtown!

New way that payments are taken is incredibly horrible for anyone who won't use this app daily. Monthly fee if you use the app for parking, even if it's for a few minutes

It would be nice to have a payment per uses option. Or if the hour max on some spots was waved if using the app. Some of our clients' services are 2 hours and they have to run to put coin in the meter for their last 5-10 mins or move the car.

Great app, and I love that it seems to catch when I didn't remember to change the city I am in becuase the meter numbers are different, but I wish it would either remember my last choice or detect where I am. It would also be cool if it knew when I got a ticket. Maybe the next update... If it did that, it'd be a 5 out of 5!
