Basic Trumpet Video

The trumpet is a popular instrument used in classical and jazz music. The trumpet consists of the highest recorded instruments in the brass family. The trumpet was used as a signaling device in combat or hunting, with examples dating back at least 1,500 BC. They began to use as instruments only in the late 14th or early 15th century. The trumpets were used in musical forms such as orchestras, concerts, jazz bands and popular music. They play by blowing air through the lips, almost closing (called the embouchure of the player), producing a "buzzing" sound that starts vibrating. The waves stand in the air column inside the machine. Since the end of the 15th century, they have been mostly built of brass tubes, often bent in two rounded rectangles.
