hostelbookers - Hostels

Literally doesn't work. Preferred to use it over Hostel World often to check availability & prices as filters were better, but now just get blue error screens. Uninstalled.

Does not remember login account. Searches constantly and randomly turn up blanks.

Spinner just keeps spinning and everything is very slow. Trying to look at my bookings is either very slow or doesn't work

The button for signing in just doesn't work, please fix it so I can see my bookings

Search is not working . APP seems to be written in web view rather than native adndroid and ITS slow

Normally, I do not review apps! Although, couldnt resist horibble app! There are many good apps that actually does the job!

I'm sorry but hybrid app is intolerable.

Try to type in destination but nothing comes up on the screen making it impossible to search ! hostelworld is better !

Would be good to be permanently logged in.

We used to have such a good thing, just a year and a half ago, Hostelbookers app. Now you've changed, and you won't even talk to me. I am sorry that your rebranding has come between us, but this doesn't work anymore: I can't star you if you don't function. We used to search for good and cheap hostels together, remember? Remember those days? I'd type in "Paris", and you'd load me up a bunch of them. Even though St Christopher's was actually full and I gave up and got a metro ticket to catch the subway at half past eleven at night for another hostel in Montmartre. But now all I stare at is a completely white page, trying to input city search terms into the quiet void, and nothing happens. If you want to "rebrand" your stupid app, for crying out loud, don't *break it*.

Bring back the old one, so much better and straightforward to use!!

Update totally killed it. Search function just sits there blank after putting in anywhere, no option to sort by price/rating/etc. Super slow loading. Cam't save searches/favourites. Have to start again entirely every single search.

Update is complete disaster. Search doesn't work, everything else is very slow. Application unusable so, now uninstalled..

HB Listed prices on hostels page which the hostels did not ever have, as I even viewed with the hostels on the HB booking system and when emailed several times to HB asking why they didn't fixed never responded so had to have credit card reverse charges.

I really like Hostelbookers, but his app is terrible. I managed to use it once and then it stopped working completely, even after I tried to re-install it. Disappointing.

I really want to use HostelBookers because they don't screw you on exchange rates like HostelWorld does but this app is so bad that I never do. It basically just loads some horribly optimized mobile website that doesn't seem to cache anything so it has to reload from scratch every time you launch it including this dumb ferris wheel background image that I've gotten used to seeing load line by line on slow mobile connections all over the 3rd world.

Mobile app only lists partial search of available hostels, often starting higher end establishments and does not give access to all useful features like future bookings, alternate payment sources, directions, etc. available on desktop website version.

Prices on the front page are more often than not half of the actual price. Unbelievably bad app

Searching took me back to home screen, when in context menu back cleared search, difficult to find common search filters, terrible experience.

Takes ages to load, irregardless of wifi signal strength. Uninstalled since loading the page in browser works better.

Seeing prices for a breakfast there.....not for the rooms/ beds. FIX THIS!!!!!

Fantastic app, very easy to use. Just wish there was a way to save hostels to a list so you could compare ones interested in. Very difficult to remember which ones were could when going through

All rates quoted are 33% higher on arrival in local currency... And nobody has fixed this in many months?.. Really?? Disaster!
