Honestly I don't expect much from apps like this, but I am still let down. This app probably has more fake accounts than Russia on Twitter, all of them sending the exact same message about looking for a sugar baby and paying $500 twice a week. Same message every day from a different account, its just getting ridiculous. There is absolutely no verification process before you can start blasting users with solicituous and harassing messages. At the very least require a photo and verify it LOOKS like an actual person like Grindr does.

All SPAM. Way to many messages from guys on peace keeping missions in Afghanistan. Nothing but spam accounts. They need to find a way to sort out the fakes. Unfortunately 0 stars is not possible.

... has ads to encourage users to submit bug reports...and search bar placeholder text flickers like crazy. There is no way you missed that one. It's there for a reason.

Now overrun with Russian bots for some reason. Loud video ads? NO. F-you. Uninstalling your garbage. I've been using this app since it was new, but this is not acceptable, ever. You've lost me as a user. Also vibrating my phone when it's in 'do not disturb' mode is never acceptable.

It's a good app but I think it needs to improve in precision,I should be able to see guys in my country or more importantly in my town.

I get constant messages from fake guys asking me to ring a number. Hornet dont seem to be able to stop this.

I can't even login this app, there's always an exclamation down there, I don't know what happened with it, please fix it

Why can't I upload any photos? It lets me upload photos using the camera but not from the album. I have tried everything but still nothing. The location is all messed up.

Between all gay social apps, I think it is one of the easiest to use with less bugs and fast.

Can you please change white to Caucasian in the filter. All the light skin guys in Asia list themselves as white I assume because they think its referring to skin colour instead of race which means I can't filter out Asians.

Asked for a password reset, haven't gotten it

IN DC, Stay away from this app! Most of the many messages I received were from scammers not located nearby. C'mon, Hornet! Keep up with the technology needed to protect your members! Unbelievable. The number of scammers on Hornet far surpasses any other app I've been on. Any response from Hornet to this comment? Any? I received messages from 25 scam fake profiles in 2 weeks. Hornet is drowning with scammers. They seem to take appropriate, reactive action. But they are not demonstrating even a pale commitment to protecting its members. So far, they didn't respond to this review.

Can see people around u and I don't know why u must subscribe in order to see people. Y can't this app be like Facebook where u can see as many people u want to see without subscribing for a month or a year

Terrible what the hell have you done to your app??? hornet used to be so many people go to choice when it came to gay dating, now every single time I click on someone's profile an ad with 30 seconds duration comes up, this is unacceptable. Change it now or you will lose all the people who used to love your app.

Far too many fake profiles and scammers. Should require verification for existing and new profiles! Will be uninstalling if this issue isn't addressed soon

The unbearable hell of commercials! 3 to 1 that you'll stumble upon a video ad which cannot be turned off. Used to be the best. Freezes my Galaxy S8+.

A lot of wasted space in profile detail page, that nearly double spaced personal information is a total waste. New hearth icon and picture bullet point icons are not charming. And now i need to check profile details to block a profile and i even need to confirm it. That makes navigating through and electing profiles totally time consuming. For some reason app began to use more energy than any active app while it itself stays on background.

It seems like a good app but critical things are poorly executed. Requiring login to read KB articles? Asking for user/pwd to do so even though accounts are OAuth? I only know this because I can't even add a picture.

Noticed my battery seems to drain much faster than usual after putting this app on and in looking in Settings, my phone tells me that this app is responsible for 20% of use since last full charge. Given that the member base isn't all that great (Scruff is better anyway, has more guys local to me, etc.) there's no reason to have a battery-sucking app like this on my phone.

My account been suspended for no reason. I tried to contact them many times and there was no reply or even a feedback this is not acceptable. I always adhered to your terms or use. Now even if I tried to created a new account It won't allow since they blocked me based on my cell used . For that u don't deserve even 1 star!!!!

Was traditionally a superior app to grindr but just had a lower population. Then money and greed came along and the developers decided they wanted more premium members and sought to achieve this by making the standard membership worse and worse. Once the viewable profiles had been severely restricted (previously unlimited), the ability to search any location on the map was removed, and message history was reduced to a handful of conversations, then Hornet became an inferior app to grindr AND with a lower population, hence why the app is now dead. The lesson here is don't alienate the majority of your subscribers in order to gain a few upgrades to premium, or reading the Tale of the Golden Goose should highlight the same points.
